French offer of Rafael fighters+ Barracuda nuclear submarines is definitely a great one. The added attraction is, it'll facilitate inter operability with Western forces. Also, with tech transfer, we could provide service to countries in Asia operating these systems.

HAL can't produce anything in the Apache class. It would be 40 years before they get close to the current capabilities of Apache E and it would cost more than triple the current Apache not counting development cost. They need to get the running programs on time and budget. All major acquisition programs need to be through the private sector companies, C-295, Rafale F-4-1, AMCA MK2 and Tejas MK2. If we leave it up to HAL delivering any of the current orders would take until 2050, the Tejas MK2 is needed yesterday due to the lack of motivation in ADA and HAL.

It will start production of IOC in 2028 at the earliest and more likely somewhere around 2030, if my estimate of HAL production is right 2036/2037 for the IOC. They are now producing 4-8 aircraft per year on a 16 aircraft per year production line, it will be a 32 aircraft per year production line. Taking into account they need four people to do the job of one they can staff it faster now they are supposed to produce on time. We can go in for Rafale 3 varient for now and upgrade them later (for cost purposes as they would be less expansive) or do a divide of 60-40 between the two. Primarily our focus should be on increasing our fighter squadrons with what is currently best available. Remember that the last of the Su31 was delivered to us in 2021. And before the deliver of last Su31 we were upgrading the existing it to Super Sukhoi
We should negotiate toughly with France for a combined deal of SSBN+ Rafael

Their slogan must be as " We are here, they are with us".this ministry can do job as, to erase negative thinking of foreign countries towards india with soft movement and smily faces. At first if we can do this with nothern, western, eastern and southern countries to get success then after our neibour countries will also try to close with us, because they can have no other ways except this. This ministry can also do the same job within india to make unity among public. If we did this we can reach better result like juicy fruits. Little info about French submarines. Commissioned in 1984, the Saphir is part of the Rubis class, older generation and specializes in spearfishing. This type of old submarine, apparently still performing well, will be replaced from 2017 by Barracuda-type submersibles manufactured by DCNS. ' the Americans of course hushed up the affair. The nuclear attack submarine (ANS) Saphir was engaged in mid-February in the North Atlantic to train an American carrier strike group near the coast of Florida. And the tricolor submersible did better than defend itself as it managed to foil the radar of the escort of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt and virtually sank it with most of its escort.
This feat of arms was revealed by a report from the Navy which has since been withdrawn from the website but can be viewed in the cache. Details have therefore filtered out while the Navy is often reluctant to share the results of operational exercises with France's allies.
In March 2016, the SNA Saphir was first part of the friendly American naval force and was tasked with monitoring the submarine activity of enemies engaged in a fictitious attack on American economic interests. He then shared his information with the rest of the device, in particular the frigates and destroyers of the US Navy. Then in a second phase, the Saphir and its 70 crew members passed over to the attackers.
"The Sapphire slipped discreetly into the barrage formed by the American frigates protecting the aircraft carrier, while avoiding the counter-detection of the ubiquitous air resources" explains the Navy. When the order to open fire was given, the ANS was in an ideal position to send the USS Theodore Roosevelt to the ocean floor, which is due to take over from another aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf in the near future. in order to fight Daesh.
    impressive isn't it?

extra rafale deal will mean a higher chances of sucess of the baracuda deal so, it's actually very beneficial and AMCA is actually funded by the govt and not on the IAF budget so, 114 rafale will boost India to a level that it can take on china in a 1 on 1 war and have a high chance of winning... we can still win but it'll require external support and far more casualties and toiling

Insurgents. Even though you do not have enemy countries at your border every country will have some limited presence of Airforce, navy (in case of having a sea border) and army (in case of having a land border). Only a land locked country will not have a navy and islands won't have army. Otherwise every country will have armaments even those small countries that have defense pact with bigger countries will own some weapons by their border security force and coast guard. Even the smallest country will have these two organisation and you need weapons.

Too many rafale. I would get some gripen. It would adapt to the less developed airports. More economic to operate and the new software is really an improve. Sukoi, rafale, grpen, also boing, airbus, etc. Also a strong aliance with israel. This could make india a world arms hub. Capable of integrating western with russian or chinese arm systems. If india could fix the integration of the friend or foe sub system are going to become a mayor player.
