This is absolutely a supercarrier in size. Scifi ships are often so large you'd need internal trams to traverse them, more like mobile bases than an actual ship. This makes sense as something that could sit far behind a fleet, deploying strike craft while providing support with the spinal railguns.
Thanks captain jack for the honest review :) I agree I didn't put as much detail into this one as my last ship, I approached the shape limit and needed to complete the build quickly. Some things to note: The lights were off because I was scared it would take longer to paste for some people The midsection are hangar doors but I didn't plan for it, which is why there is a small gap in it. There is a switch to open it The gravity gyro system doesn't work on planets, I'm surprised you were still able to turn the ship that quickly in atmosphere! The ship probably would not fare well in pvp, a well placed railgun burst into the hydro tank area will blow out half the back of the ship lol
Soma well a carrier isn't really meant to fight in the front lines I would definitely use this as in the in a PVP server more as like a parasite craft One like it's never meant to get into a brawl fest with an enemy battle wagon that and considering all those frontal rail guns I wouldn't be surprised if it could a one shot most smaller ships but I would recommend putting a lot more armor at those hydrogen tanks
@louisapenzhorn4162 carrier doctrines in the server i play usually do as you say. But even so, they took so much fire from fast destroyers that in the end carriers became less carrier and more light armed support ships. Drones usually get mowed down too fast by weapon barrages so carriers are usually a support ship as in, people respawn on it, pick a new fighter and get back into the field.
Yo could you teach me how to make good ships too lol? But like, actually, could you teach me? Epic ship aswell, I'd never make something like it mostly because my Series S is sort of limited, but not so limited it explodes. I think
Hi ponage! Your ship inspired me to make my own carrier! Though I play on Xbox so probably be smaller than yours, definitely will be inspired off yours tho
Hehehe, Im making one. Avoiding mods but it will come with its own decent sized fighters and scout aircraft. The Galactic Defense Organization (GDC) will continue to improve its combat capabilities and force protection.🫡
XD i slightly played around with this and you missed out on a thing where there is a button that opens the middle spine up to allow fighters to fly up and out that way, and the "running lights" are actually gravity Launchers to launch the fighters going up that way
10:31 this ship is like a space Triple E class from Maersk and a half, especially when you walk at the floors of the rear open hangar with the spotlights on and you look up, it looks like you're looking from where the containers would be stacked.
This looks like a sweet carrier by think the expect other people to add their own touches, it's the reason why they left certain things barebones. That's what it looks like to me anyways.
While I do like the design a lot, I am kind of rebutted by the fact that the carrier has *space for a huge fleet* , but given it is using most of the PCU cap (279k while most servers /saves have a 300k cap) that does not leave a lot of room for a fleet.
I love super carriers in space. 🤩 Also this is a great one, make me want to "login" in my X4 Foundation save and take my Raptor for a spin again, for my super carrier fix. 😋
I just want to point out that you landed it completely empty, which kinda limits the demonstration. Admittedly I would be very surprised if it could land loaded, but still, I'd love to have seen that.
he also landed it in creative with infinite fuel. I can confirm, its not possible to land. even with scripts. Fuel runs out, requires a custom mod to make hydrogen thrusters use less fuel due to the thruster spam.
not gonna lie, i thought it was gonna be some sort of april fools joke that it could land on a planet, very cool to see that it actually can properly land on a planet.
I love how hes just casually shitting on the build as the review goes on, Ive heard more complaints about the build than actual compliments to this gorgeous ship
If you're takeaway is me "shitting on it", then you are wrong. My intention is to not Insult the creator, but to simply offer my thoughts on this. Welcome to a spotlight video :) I don't see anyone else having this take.
My carrier can lift off the biggest planet with 110 million kg. Has rover bays for 5 different size rovers. Has bays for one big gunship and 16 small ships. Also drones and massive artillery. Over 300k pcu though lol
@@dongleslongbog9656 aww that's sad, now that I think about it, I guess its good to have the limit the reason so that no guys can create massive monstrosities, imagine a galaxy wide ship LOL 😂
It is a very nice build. It looks great. It just isn't that useful due to it's size. It is so large it can only be used single play or a small type 10 person server.
This is definetely a capital ship, but there are some blatant design flaws and purpose inconsistencies. I dont care much abt the lack of detail, never considered decorations or greebling that important, but this is still definetely a ship for looks, not for practical use. The only advantage it has in combat is the sheer size of it that will make it difficult do destroy, but let me tell you, not that difficult do incapacitate. I would definetely change some things. Despite everything, even if its not common for SE, if this is deployed as the capital ship of a large and organized fleet and it itself is fully operational on the carrier aspect, meaning housing the ships its meant to, with or without design flaws it may prove a formidable enemy, and exploitin those design flaws will be the only way to win
the ship looks really nice from a distance, but up close it kinda just feels more spammed and rushed, its just a shame its more of an ordainment then functional. the sad reality is due to the amount weapons the ammunition wouldn't be sustainable within a battle. the amount of thrusters wouldn't sustain the fuel and feels like it was attempted to just rush out as a 'one does all' type project really defeating the purpose of a carrier as it can't really carry very much due to the amount of PCU wasted on weapons/thrusters that would turn the ship into a defenseless station. the sheer mass of the ship empty wouldn't sustain planetary gravity without sustainable fuel to land safely because the amount of thrusters that would attempt to resist the planetary gravity alone would burn what little hydrogen is available vs how many thrusters there are :( so realistically its just a creative ordainment maybe useful for cinematics though? It has quiet a few nice designs within it though.

The design was impressive. It may be not pvp worthy. But gave me fine pointers into making my pvp ships look better. That is a great win for ne

You know I would love to see an aircraft carrier that can carry 100+ fighters
Bengal?

Good luck finding a server that let's you.use it
Lucky for you. We’re working on it.

That ships screams to me function over form, which is what i find endearing.
I don't even want to think about how much hydrogen per second that monster consumes in low earth orbit
10:31 this ship is like a space Triple E class from Maersk and a half, especially when you walk at the floors of the rear open hangar with the spotlights on and you look up, it looks like you're looking from where the containers would be stacked.
Jeeeeee whiz, you can see the curvature of the planet when you pan back to fit it all in one shot.
I said it on Aaron's channel, i'll say it here. It looks perfect for spreading SWEET LIBERTY
This looks like a sweet carrier by think the expect other people to add their own touches, it's the reason why they left certain things barebones.

this ship looks neato, but it's large open midsection looks like a prime spot to split it in twain
Yep
gyros are between the best armor u can get, that's why they are outside
Maybe a recolor and slight retooled version could be used for your RWI group!
it looks good. I think it would be good for cinematics
the black strip at the front on the top is an airstrip and their are controls to open it

Jack: *Vote on who gets to land that massive grid, today!*
Vote Result: *Venom*
Jack: He wasn't even on the poll...
**CRASHING SFX INTENSIFY**
I just want to point out that you landed it completely empty, which kinda limits the demonstration. Admittedly I would be very surprised if it could land loaded, but still, I'd love to have seen that.
With scripts on it can land any mass, without scripts it can carry an additional 30million kg
he also landed it in creative with infinite fuel.
I can confirm, its not possible to land. even with scripts.
Fuel runs out, requires a custom mod to make hydrogen thrusters use less fuel due to the thruster spam.
This ship may be able to survive a landing. My computer however, can not.
has more landing bays than my base
I wonder what this would cost to build in survival.. my PC would struggle but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
7:35 The clang drive moving the ship side to side: 😏
Course I wanted to get the ship but once I heard the pcu limit I was like oh 😢 cause PlayStation only has a 200k max pcu limit
What did the other buttons do so you had one which is ramp what is 23 and 4
not gonna lie, i thought it was gonna be some sort of april fools joke that it could land on a planet, very cool to see that it actually can properly land on a planet.
No weapons test, wanted to see them rail guns demise something 🙃

creator getting a boost by 2 big time reviewers
effectively an acclimator.
nice
i was looking for a supercarrier

Can the game allows you to build how big you can? Like a death star class ships or something?
The ship in this video is kind of the limit what can reasonably be built in this game
@@dongleslongbog9656 aww that's sad, now that I think about it, I guess its good to have the limit the reason so that no guys can create massive monstrosities, imagine a galaxy wide ship LOL 😂
@@dongleslongbog9656 well technically its the limit the users PC is capable to handle, I've yet to discover a limit.
Anybody else notice the signals for the Plutus mining station when he went to land it
When I see these videos I wonder, does Laguine really use these ships in survival?
My super duper-carrier has 4 of those per docking bay.
...And is powerful enough to crash a server just by being there. 🤔
It is a very nice build. It looks great. It just isn't that useful due to it's size. It is so large it can only be used single play or a small type 10 person server.
I would love to I would love to see colonial season or episode PS I always have watched your videos since middle school
Ok Jack but is it still in one piece when it lands?
Is this on the workshop for Xbox?
you missed something - the top opens up
captain Jack I love your vids I have base I made in space engineers it's called starfall base it's on steam workshop if you like to check it out
humm still not big enough

That would be some good salvage
Keen Official not approved with 20k pcu only😂
First
That’s what we like to see
Gotta impress the Admiral
Im currently working on one thay wil be almost twise its size.... experiment at work but this is a impressive ship
