I made some little robots over the summer with my daughter and her friend. These little robots are very different and I like them a lot - very simple and super cute! It makes me wish there were a dozen more little kids in the family so I could make a big stack of these to give out.
Thank you - SO much - for sharing this super-cute project! ❤️ I've been a big fan of wood robots for a couple of years now and made these over this last weekend. I made mine out of 2x4 Doug Fir and found that it splinters easily (after machining them to size). I made a dozen - bit my next set will definitely be made out of hardwood and perhaps scaled up to 2"x2" (or 5cm x 5cm).
Thank you so much! Cool to hear that you already made some yourself, they are pretty easy to make, I loved it! But yeah, pine/doug fir is not that great!
Congratulations. I've been following you for some time and your work is fantastic. I make some toys to distribute to needy children here in Brazil. However, I can't think of anything compact to hand out to girls. These robots are the good idea. Could you help me with any other suggestions? Once again congratulations and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you so much! Great that you are working for charity as well! Yes indeed girls is very hard, I'm also thinking about things for girls, but it's not easy. Maybe toy ice creams?
That's a lot of purchased tools plus a workshop to show people how to make simple robots. Not useful unless a person has a big budget for simple robots, or already possesses similar tools.
