    Thank you for the update on Barney. I look forward to further updates particularly as I am considering the RT- P myself but unsure how reliable they may be due to the use they have had. Really enjoy your videos. Safe riding.

      Great bike and as reliable as any other. You could argue that they are some of the only bikes that have been used as the manufacturer intended. Fully serviced and as good as any other :)

    Authorities bikes have lower final gearing, so you'll never achieve quite the same fuel economy because your revs will always be slightly higher than a non-RT/P. I'm tempted to get a Barney now. I'll keep watching the Barney series and see if you can convince me. I'm a little worried about resale value. Great video... thanks.

      Awesome. Thanks for the info. I wouldn’t worry about the resale value as they seem to hold their value here in the I’m really well

    I've got a 2011 RT-p. I got it in April (6 months ago) and I've done 10k miles on it and its brilliant. Non cruise control RT-Ps have a bolt screw on the throttle as a manual cruise control. Did Edinburgh to Worcester in one go without a break, got about 56mpg at a steady 70

    • @mikeforwarduk
      @mikeforwarduk 2 месяца назад

      How does the bolt screw work? I can't get mine to tighten

    • @markgr1nyer
      @markgr1nyer 2 месяца назад

      @@mikeforwarduk sometimes they don't work anymore. It's just a bolt you turn to put pressure on the throttle sleeve to hold it in position

    Hi
    I am really enjoying your videos on the ex police bike.
    Just had a video pop up in my feed where a guy in Australia removed the hump cover, attached some Velcro to the aluminium base plate and then attached a home made seat (he wanted to take pillion).
    Made me think that the next step would be to attach a large seat bag to give you the extra storage.

    What brand of seat cover are you using - I find the gap between the seat and buffer piece between the seat and the box (which has the hump release) is too tight to fit a seat cover.

    Guys love your videos, I'm looking at getting my own 2016 BMW 1200 RT-P.
    I'm hoping you can help me, I've noticed from your videos that you have changed the piece of plastic and you now have moulded sat nav shaped part about your clocks.
    I have been searching for the same part, (not sure of the name to search for).
    So it would be very helpful if you could list the parts needed to do this conversation or if you filmed it, for you to hopefully upload it please.

    • @RiderCamTV

      All the auxiliary wiring and battery as the hump used to house the police radio equipment so is really handy for extra wiring like dash cams etc

    And wondered via a ferry direct to Spain is costly ..??..
