Thanks, I just bought a wedge to put it my flat feeling front tire. Looks easy enough to install. Didn't know about cutting it to a specific length like that though.
I store my old rear moose bibs in a tire I ran to long. At a race where you run through a tunnel under the highway that has a concrete pad as you turn out of it and headed to the gas stop. I gassed in thinking I wasn't on the concrete and ripped the bead of the tire. Ran that bib one ride to long! I use it to hold my old one I cut chunks from. Same with the front. Keep it in a junk used tire, but will likely just replace that one once its dead.
boobliss for the win, Tubliss & sacked bib. rock hard sidewalls, no rim slippage ever and 4-6psi all day. Romaniacs special.
So you put an old mousse in with tubliss? I’d like to see that
@@highlandcycles yup or guys put new one cut center a bit and then install. She's a bear but adds little more mass and bead sits way up. Impossible flats and corners like dream. Deflections are way down. Plus pump up if you have seal.
I think nitro mousses shrink more than other makes but have best feel on the bike👍
Yeah, I’m not sure. It seems to change from mousse to mousse at times. Also, I always cut Michelin’s a ton with the rim hitting stuff so they would wear out super fast
I wandered if a used mousse would serve the same purpose, you must be physic 😂
Hahaha, nope, just a broke racer!
.. I save an old mousse to cut into wedges.. works great and lots of years of riding with the 2 mousse system...
haha... a chunk in a pinch.
Thanks for the video, question... does the wheel now have a heavy spot in it and vibrate when spinning?
Good question. I am sure that there is some difference but I cannot feel it when I am riding off road.
Is That wr250z in the angry Zach lift? :o 😍
No. Just a WR450F
Wait, that was a WR250. I forgot what was up there.
@@highlandcycles great bike. I had one few years. I was super bummed out when I have to sell her 💔
Trying to get my running now, I thought was a z
@@diesel7391 if you have keihin pwm carb switch for newer pwk short body. It’s game changing!
hey Morgan ... can wedges be utilized from an old mousse or do you recommend the new wedges?
Old mousse works great
Totally off topic but I bought a 2019 ktm 150xcw a month ago and was wondering if you know if the 2020 ktm 150xcw fat pipe will fit the 2019 where it is tpi and mounting brackets etc. The new fat pipes look better than the 2019 fat pipes. Thanks. And I've ordered a jd kit for it too after watching your channel hope it smooths it out a bit.👍
I don’t know if it will fit. I know that on the bigger bikes the pipes from 19 wouldn’t fit 20’s and vice versa. Thanks for the kind words
Hey how do you feel about the YZ250X... can I be happy with it on gnarly tight single track?
Absolutely. They are great
How often do you have to take them out and lube them?
I just do it when I change tires
