Chad; What I liked about your video is that you were clear and concise in your demonstration on removing and installing the tailgate handle. I've seen other videos on this topic and they just are too wordy and already had all the mechanicals removed then they described how they did it which is wrong; "Don't tell me...show me" is my montra. YOUR VIDEO IS EXCEPTIONAL. Thumbs up!!! Don't forget to give Chad a THUMBS UP while you're watching the video. He deserves at least that from all the viewers trying to fix their tailgate!!
I appreciate you making this video, it helped alot when changing mine today. You do need to move the camera, light and the connection piece for the handle to function, but they were pretty straightforward. Thanks!
This helped out a lot! Only thing that threw me for a loop is the lock actuator, it was set to locked so I was wondering why the tailgate wasn't opening after assembly! SMH!!
Like Gergj84, I need to replace mine; at 2:45 was a perfect opportunity to talk about removing the camera and led light from the old one and putting them on the new handle assembly. These probably screw off (I haven't checked yet) and should be easily put on the new assembly IF it comes with the holes placed...? This DIY sure beats the $150+ for parts and labor at dealer. Thanks
Hi. I have to replace the back up camera on my 2017 F150 (tailgate handle) and have been looking for a video on how to but can’t find anything. I am only replacing the camera. Do you have anything showing how to do it?
Any idea if i can use my existing rearview camera handle assembly with any tailgate that fits that may not have had camera system ? For example Found Used 2016 tailgate that doesn't have the same camera set up in the handle can I use mine
Great video thanks! I broke my handle, and need to replace it. The after market ones I’ve found have holes for the camera and led light, but I can’t find any videos showing that process. Have you replaced those? How hard is that?
There are two connection points and two screws on the light housing and camera housing. just installed a new assembly (previous handle broke). The new handle assembly you got should have a camera housing. The light housing is attached via one screw. Let me know if you have dither questions

I love this video Chad. It saved me a lot of trouble dealing with a handle which got stuck up making closing fail.
Keep it up man!!!!
BTW, that was on a 2019 F150.

Can you do a video on replacing the interior front door panels? Also maybe even front exterior door handles

Very cool. Have to do this on the wifes truck as the handle was busted by a falling haybail.
What do you do if the green clip breaks off?
Any idea what those green clips are called? Of course mine broke

I think the camera and led light just screws in, doesn't it? Hopefully you got yours fixed by now! Thanks for watching! :)
Very helpful
Chad you did not show how to remove and reinstall the camera or light, the new handle does not come with new ones.
