- The Painted Desert is an ancient, remote and jaw-droppingly beautiful desert located between Oodnadatta and Coober Pedy in the remote northern part of South Australia. 5 years ago, I flew over this desert and admired it from the air, but never thought I would actually get the chance to explore it from the ground. Join me as I explore this amazing place.

Remote is the best and when remote you hear what the Aboriginals hear, it is very powerful. Great video and the narration and story telling is excellent.

Once again, absolutely fantastic editing and filming, and it's great to see it through somebody else's eyes. The painted Desert I have been there several times, and it's just a fantastic place to visit, and it's never the same twice, depending on what time of day you get there. Thanks for sharing your experience. One more thing I like that you used your indicator to turn right when there was absolutely no one around.😅

Thanks Lee! Yes, December is pretty darn hot out there. It’s an easy drive though. I was there in September and it was quite pleasant.
Another fantastic episode 👏, your skills at producing these videos is bloody outstanding. Can't think of another 4WD / touring channel that captures the landscape as well as you do. You narrative is perfect.
I went to the Painted Desert in 2019, from the Coober Pedy side & stay at Arckaringa station. Its how I believe the landscape on " Mars" would look.
