Brilliant guys, fully appreciate the effort (I know it is not easy!)
But when you said "Wrap-Up" I was expecting you to get down with some lyrics:
Texas team style,
In Wilmer’s dirt,
Not a bad pile,
I take off my shirt!
Wormbin Legend, beetle damage
Meg’s mix, did its tricks,
It wasn’t ruined, I pay you homage
Padawans with Obi-Wan,
Bottom of clay,
Wrap of seran
Wins the day!
😂😂 great job and did I see a comment about potato soup 🥣 hint hint 🤭
I knew a song about a tortilla, well actually it was more of a wrap🤣👍🤠❤️
Hahaha - so awesome, Steve - again, I'm not sure why Jason and I don't run our videos through you first so that they can be much improved.
I also feel like it's important to say this in a Digwell accent in your head when you read it. I hope everyone is doing that. It makes it even better.
Thanks so much for all your help this summer Steve! We had some delicious mashed potatoes with meatloaf tonight!
Cheers, Colleen (and Jason)
Ali -
I made mashed potatoes for the meatloaf we have tonight, but there is lots leftover. I might either do a leek and potato or what my sister wants, which is leek, potato and butternut squash. Or I might do both. I could just use the mashed potatoes right in there. Yum! Cheers, Colleen
@@clivesconundrumgarden 😜😜 do you have an accent Steveo 😮
Great show my friend's.
♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.
It was a lit of work but a ton of fun. Looking forward to getting them in a lot earlier next year :)))
Cheers Terry

Love the “wheelbarrow”. Oh cheeky girl “show me your haul” 😂😂.
Great job kiddos and a lot of work put into this we know.
Have a fabulous week stay safe and keep warm, Ali 🥶🥶🇨🇦🥰🇺🇸
Oh my god I see a huge veg garden in your future 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Ali !! My back is still sore, lol, but totally worth it !!
That wheelbarrow is worth its weight in gold, it has an easy to use "dumping" option. Makes stuff super easy foe all of us ;)
Have a great week, we getting cold this week finally!!
Stay Awesome Ali 🌱🤞👍😊🇨🇦🇺🇸
What fun for all of us to watch and root on! 😂 You were a Star 🌟
Happy Awesome Spuds 🥔🥔

Have a great week Peggy!!

Ton of fun Hugh !! Lots of amazing acts of kindness aswell!!
Definitely had a blast and your flower was a highlight, "chaos is order"
Cheers J&C 🤞👍🤜🤛
@@clivesconundrumgarden Yes, think of ' Chaos is Order' anytime your approaching any gardening project and guaranteed it'll be successful!! 🤣🤣😁😁😎😎
@HortiHugo I do, and I'll continue to do it for the next 20 years. As a wise man once said, " the first 20 years are the hardest" 🤣🤣🤣
YAY! LOVE IT.. maybe the potatoes I still have in the ground has a chance. All said it very well below...an awesome series of videos for a great community project. Thank you Colleen and Jason
It was super fun, and you all rock, Susie!! We got some potatoes but the random acts of kindness!!
Stay Awesome Susie!!

Hello I love you thanks you for sharing the great video like like 👍👍❤❤❤
Thank you and we had a blast !!
Cheers Jason and Colleen 🌱🤞👍
The boys were able to learn from a great teacher. 👍
There is nothing more fun than digging in dirt and finding bugs. This applies to all genders and ages, pretty much. When gardening is fun, kids will get into it! Cheers, Colleen (and Jason)
Thanks for all the hard work it’s been a fun watch. Well done to OB1 padowans. The cling film / seran wrap was a great idea. 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔
Thank you Cats. I think your donations was just awesome. The wok still sticks in my memory.
Not many potatoes but we got some and are grateful for that :)))
Have a great week!!
Cheers J&C 🌱🤞👍😊😊😊
Fun to experiment. You put lots of work into this. 😀👍
Thanks, Greta - we always enjoy experimenting with the potatoes and this definitely took it to the next level!
But if we plant them at the right time, in the right soil and in the right containers, we're going to be ahead of the game. Cheers, Colleen
Looking at property, that's very exciting 😊 I shan't ask any more! That was a great trial and you got to try different growing mediums which will give you an idea of what to do next year. Thanks for all the entertainment. Take care 😊
Thanks Bethan! Yes the property thing is exciting but might take a while. We are indecisive lol cheers Colleen
@@clivesconundrumgarden I'm the same, hard enough trying to decide whether to have jam or cheese with my toast in the morning, never mind these big decisions 😂
So much fun guys! Even if it wasn't the best year for taters, still a ton of fun & very educational.
Awesome job friends 🙌🤗😎
Your tips saved those taters Rebecca!! So many acts of kindness and just a blast. My back is still sore though 🤣🤣🤣
Stay Awesome 🌱🤞👍😊🤜🤛🇺🇸
@@clivesconundrumgarden I'm glad I could help save what we got! Lol! And do some light yoga & a hot shower for that back & you'll be good as new 😎🖤🙌
@@littlefootranch4410 wise words Rebecca!! Cheers!!
Congratulations to the winning group. It was fun to watch the Adopt a Tater. Glad you got potatoes today. Thank you for watching.
Thanks Patricia - next year we're definitely going to plant at the right time! Cheers, Colleen
It is always fun to experiment. At least you have potatoes for soup, sauerkraut & air fried fries. Great fun with potatoes!
Thanks Tom, super fun and lots of acts of kindness from people.
Really rewarding to do !!
Have a great week!!
Cheers J&C 🌱🤞👍🇺🇸
The Potato Masters 💪 Haha, great job guys realy enjoyed thease videos, fish blood and bone for the win once again
It was the clingfilm 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@DigwellGreenfingers my back 🤣🤣🤣
Back up the truck brother 🤣
Super fun and you guys were an easy pick from the beginning!!
Have a great week and high Five to Bobbi 🌱🤞👍🤜🤛🏴🇺🇸
Great competition guys, lots of work but lots of fun to watch. Well done the padowans🎉🤠👍❤️🥔💪🔥🪱💩
Cheers Nick. You may be elevated higher up the Jedi rankings yourself when the #SSPC2023 results are out
@@DigwellGreenfingers I'm not counting my chickens yet!! I was sure Duncan would win last year and I was wrong. ❤️🤠👍🥔💪
@@DigwellGreenfingers what is the lowest level and 1 up from that?😭🤠👍❤️
Super fun, brother !! You guys were the clear leaders from the start!! Back up the truck 🤣
Cheers J&C 🌱🤞👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🤠
Enjoy the potatoes! For this climate, a nice hot potato soup sounds good 😊
Super fun, and we'll be having soup tomorrow night!!
Stay Awesome Juani 🌱🤞👍😊😊😊🇺🇸
😊👍
Do it!! Buy it!! Especially if it's in Florida😂🤣😂Lots of potential gardens to be grown! I'll take second place!! Especially with the early set back with the beetle!🪱🪱🪱
If the apocalypse comes we're screwed 🤣🤣🤣
Love to look at properties down there, I could be a "Florida Man":)))
I think the fabric pots are good for worm bins and things tgat need to be "dried out" between waterings (peppers) and that's about it. Our average last year in Victoria was 4 lbs per bucket, which is basically what we got total this year 🤣
Oh well, let's of lessons and tons of fun !!
Thanks for taking part brother !!
Cheers J&C 🌱🤞👍🤜🤛🇺🇸
@@clivesconundrumgarden 😂Ya, the media loves to hate us down here in Florida!! I promise 99.999999% or us are nothing like "Florida Man..."
@Vermicompost 20° this morning, might have to test that theory, brother 🤣!!
Well, not the best year for potatoes but still a lot of fun as always! I bet next year's spring potatoes will do much better!
We got some but if the apocalypse comes we don't stand a chance 🤣🤣🤣
Totally worth it, even though my back is still sore.
Stay Awesome Andrea!!
Cheers Jason and Colleen 🌱🤞👍😊😊😊
Nice harvest guys! You did great with some set backs. Are you guys going to be moving? 😁
We're still looking at properties, lots of things happening but moving forward !! And yes got some for next year !
Cheers Rick 🌱🤞👍🤜🤛
@@clivesconundrumgarden the property you showed looked great and I’m assuming no HOA
@GardeningwithBarchuckin lol definitely not !! It was 30 miles SE of Springfield in farm country.
Are you still looking?
@@clivesconundrumgarden always keeping an eye out. Buddy told me about a place in Montana 180 acres and a creek for $60,000 🤔
That why I need to up by baking skills 😂
Yoooooo!
Let's gooooo!!!
Awesome, well done to the little grownups but I did see them filling there pocket's with my potatoes...🤣😂🤣
Only joking..., Stay awesome...🐮🐮🐮
Lol Manda !! Ton of fun and all you guys Rock !! So many acts of kindness and we'll get em next year !!
Have a great week!!
Cheers Jason and Colleen 🌱🤞👍🐮😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
You guys certainly put in a ton of work, even though the harvest was eahh, the soil in the bags looks a lot better. That was a jumping worm out of that bag.
I found 2 immature jumping worms in my leaf mold bin. I think a paper leaf bag that was hanging outside the bin was the culprit. Unfortunately I will not be able to use this years leaf mold for seed starter. I still have enough left that I solarized this spring. Will have to be more diligent with keeping the outside of the bin clear next year.
Was that end clip a property you guys are looking at? That looked awesome, no HOA, lol.
One of my sons bought a house in Princeton IL, he is surrounded by big ag on a acre and a half lot. I told him to plant a couple rows of sunflowers around the perimeter of his property to keep pesticide drift out of his garden, would look cool too.
Getting some snow up here tomorrow, yuk!
Have a good week.
It was a property, and we passed on it. The house was 180 years old and too much work, but the property was amazing. 7acres :)))
The jumping worms are few and far between atm 🤞, I really think tgey dislike the woodchips for whatever reason.
A lot of work but you all are amazing. I'm super glad we did it !!
Cheers Brian
Jason and Colleen 🌱🤜🤛🤞👍🇺🇸
Hello Colleen and Jason,
Lesson learned from growing potatoes: It's about the journey, not the destination. Whatever will you do with your time next year?? I'm so excited to hear what happens with your property search!! ✅✅✅
~ Sandra
The lesson learned for me is to abandon cloth pots, they dry out so quickly. I had some chilles growing in them, and even though the chillies like to dry out a bit, they were struggling. I stood the pots in a tray kept topped up with water and they loved it! Never again
@DigwellGreenfingers yep, last year we averaged 4lbs per pot, this year we got 4 lbs total 🤣🤣🤣
Appreciate all the advice, Steve !!
We got some, and you all are amazing!! Soooo many acts of kindness made it totally worth it !!
That property was amazing, 7.5 acres, tons of mature trees and open spaces, have a summer kitchen, and 3 large barns but the house was way too much work. 180 years old lol !!
On to the next one and so excited (and exhausted 🤣) !!!
Cheers Sandra 🌱🤞👍😊🇨🇦🇺🇸😊
You'll know when you find it ❤️
~ Sandra
What do you guys do with the dirt?
We're going to build more beds with it !!
Stay Awesome Faye
Cheers J&C 🌱🤞👍😊😊😊😊
So what was the grand total for the year? I have to say, that I didn't have to do hardly anything with my potatoes once I had the overhead trellis and drip tape in place until it was harvest time.
I really think the fabric bags are crap. We averaged around 4lbs per pot last year, and we basically got 4lbs total this year 🤣🤣🤣
Seed potatoes were "less than optimal" and planting so late had an effect as well imo.
Were following you lead next year Steve.
That being said, we had a blast and learned a ton from people like you 🤜🤛
Cheers J&C 🌱🤞👍🤜🤛🇺🇸
Hey what was the variety of sweet potato you gave us ?
Cheers
@@clivesconundrumgarden I think it was named Garrett or Garet. I bought a couple organic sweet potatoes from Whole Foods and grew the slips out from them. 😄
@@clivesconundrumgarden Or you can just call them Steve's Sweet Potatoes
@stevefromthegarden1135 🤜🤛🤣
Thanks Steve !!
1st I demand a recount. 2nd I want a hay field dirt and triple 13 bucket next year.
On it, brother !!
Where did you find blood fish and bone in the US? I have been looking for it but have not found the three together anywhere!
Bought them separately and combined them Cramer ;)
All the best in 2024 my friend!!
Cheers Jason and Colleen 🌱🤞👍
@@clivesconundrumgarden I don't know why nobody sells them together here in the States! Happy New Year to you two also! 🥦🥬🥒🍎
@cramersbackyard9634 it's totally weird !!
That was a ton of work. I'm glad our bin had a regular Illinois worm and not the devil jumping worm. Looking at property eh? Hmmm 🤔,🪱👍🏼
Ya, it was awesome, but the house was way too much work !!
It's good to see the population has exploded, so far 🤞🤞🤞
Stay Awesome Ann 🌱🤞👍👍👍👍👍
