A note on the numbers for Gaza: the 40,000 count comes from official reports which haven't been updated in a while. Non-official estimates believe the number to be approaching 200,000: trail.as/gazatoll
"We respect creators which is why we're stealing their content to train an AI we'll profit from while they will never see a penny. This is definitely not contradictory to our statement of respect for creators."
When I saw the title I was lowkey excited, because I know that one day (however far away) Google is going to drop RUclips and we're going to lose decades of Internet history. I was hoping that Nvidia had been doing it to archive the content... But damn 😕
@@endeavorance I hope someone can figure out a way to do it efficiently some day. The only reason I even considered it is because they're probably one of the few companies with the computing resources to do it, and evidently did :/
NVIDIA claiming "fair use" for their outright theft is spectacular, especially as fair use cases for regular people are denied all of the damn time such as on this platform.
@@jcorey333 I don't want to restrict fair use. If a RUclipsr makes a video to critique or parody a piece of pop culture they're supposed to be protected under Fair Use but frequently are not. NVIDIA are the ones whose actions could ultimately restrict fair use further through their greed. I don't want that to happen.
As long as money is an "expression of free speech" in the eyes of the law, people (and companies) with more money, get more free speech, and the legalized bribery will continue.
you are my favourite content creator, i dont think you understand the respect i have for you. ive been following you since close to the beginning on tiktok, i always love seeing your videos.
Defenses which rely on treating AI like the rules for humans apply to it are disingenuous. It isn't self aware, it's not part of our social contract, it is a product for making money. GAI which has personhood would be a different thing entirely.
well at this point my theory is that all the companies do it, so shareholders and consumers are forced to invest in it, making companies think it's good, so they keep putting it in everything, rinse and repeat. that's just my theory. also spyware and stuff

I love this series. Its way better than having to spend time watching the news
Thanks for watching!!
The adjustment to Team Pixel is wild. “We missed the mark” the mark was the side of a barn, how did you miss?!
"We missed the mark when we said that everyone must now tithe to Sundar Pichai"

Of course, Nvidia will get free reign on stealing shit, but Megaupload creator has to go to prison
The legal system couldn't handle the MegaUpload song so they had to make an example out of him
I wasn't that shocked by most of these, but the beads really caused me to rewind to make sure I heard you correctly... I'm sad that I did😭😂
OH YES. I did not misspeak. Cheating with anal beads; the ultimate chess grandmaster strat

More likely that we'd see the internet archive or some such entity do that!

My no 1 source of international news: Endeavorance and UWU Girl...
We are one and the same

We've seen lawsuits in the billions and lives destroyed for far, far less copyright infringement
Why isn't the answer allowing more fair use, instead of cutting down on it?

Google: we built this AI and trained it on multinational megacorporations missing the mark... but uhh I guess it made us miss the mark
Someone ask Gemini to write their next form

This is genuinely so lovely to read. Thank you so much for your consistent support and such kind words!
It is now moral to steal Nvidia property, specifically Jensen Wong's jacket.

I was the first comment, but stuff still happened.
So whats up?
Does the Nvidia story count as a heist story??
Technically, though I did have a better heist story in the works which may come as its own thing later on 🤔
@endeavorance ooo we love a good heist
this life is amazingly insane
Like tf do you mean beads where used to cheat at chess? How tf does that even work?
Stops setting up Nvidia AI to watch your video hahaha
Why are we putting a.i. in everything?!?!?

I had forgotten about the chess behind beads... Now its right in the front of my mind again.🥲😂
I'm watching this video on my Pixel and the ad beneath the video is for the new Pixel 🙃🫠🥴
