Garage Demo with the E26

- After weeks of cleaning out the old garage at my parents, and getting the power hooked up in their new house, the old garage was ready to be demolished! This structure is over 40 years old, and was very dry rotted, so it was easy to break up and also surprisingly very sturdy even when I was yanking on it. The E26 proved to be up to the challenge!
Equipment Used:
Excavator: 2021 Bobcat e26 R-Series
Camera: GoPro Hero 7
I was about to buy an E40 or E48 because I thought that the E35 won’t be capable for this kind of jobs, but seeing the work that you are doing with the E26 made me change of mind. I think the E35 will be the best option for me. Thanks!

Nice work buddy, been trying to catch up on your videos. Next time throw the blade down behind you when your trying to apply that much pressure with the excavator bucket like that and I think you’ll see even better results like when you were first trying to break that header apart. The machine did a great job, I can’t wait to get one some day. Keep up the great work, just watched your retaining wall video too 👍🏻
Thanks man! Been enjoying what you have been putting out too, hope you got that driveway job. Yeah, that header was super reinforced since my dad rebuilt the door a few years back and I didn't realize how big it was. The rest of the thing was all super dry rotted, which was nice. I hope to see an excavator on your channel, that platform is a real game changer!

That looked like a nice garage. Why did you tear it down?
Just as I explained at the end, you are only allowed a certain amount of non-permeable space on lots next to the lake. When the house was rebuilt, we added this garage's footprint to the house. Thus we had to convert this garage into permeable space. Not to mention, this garage was over 40 years old, dry rotted rotted, had a failing foundation and full of mice. It was time for it to go either way!

I’m looking at getting a mini excavator in 2023. All the “experts” say get an 8000-10000 lbs machine to do any real work. I believe you proved the “experts” wrong with this video.
I wonder how different an E20 is from this E26?
Make no mistake, a bigger machine would have done the job faster... however. That doesn't mean it's the best investment. Unless you hit the limits of productivity or capabilites, like you don't have enough force* or height/depth, a bigger machine isn't doing anything but spending more of your money.
*Minies really need to use the blade well to get the most out of them. Our friend here could utilize it more for better leverage. But even without using the blade perfectly and seeing lots of moves over the sides, the machine is doing some incredible work. Like, no joke that pound-for-pound an excavator is better than a backhoe for bucket work.
A 5 ton and a 1.7-2 ton with expandable tracks are ideal in my opinion. A 5 ton mini is much stronger, has more reach and more bucket capacity than a 3.5 ton while still fitting in the same spots. The downside of course is that they do cost more.
