Hey! Yet another great video! This is a zone with ties to so many other events and places and i feel that was well explained here. My first time getting to this zone was on my very first character. I had teamed up with another nightelf and we where in ashenvale. He told me about this hidden path through the mountains! ever so exciting!. Sadly i almost never go there anymore, i can only hope they start adding stuff to these old zones. As always! Best wishes from Sweden!
It's uncertain, it's POSSIBLE the barrows at the top are the same, but they might not be. We also never see any ruins of the Alliance settlements Grom forced Thrall to destroy either,

This just reminds me how much I hate the Dragonflight Centaur not being Theradras's kids. I'd rather her mating with Zaetar be pushed back before the Sundering if not just erasing the DF Centaur entirely.
I’m really digging your videos but the ai images are a huge deal breaker for me. The art of blizzard is amazing and one of things that keeps me coming back to the game. It feel disrespectful to the art devs and artists who are having their work stolen to train the ai to even use for a thumbnail.
Appreciate the feedback. Indeed, there was an extensive discussion on the thumbnail topic within this tale. During the conversation, I promptly updated the thumbnail. The Harpy featured in the current thumbnail is the artwork of Sephira Dusktalon from Hearthstone. Moving forward, our aim is to utilize official Blizzard artwork whenever possible. From us at the library and many other library enthusiasts, this is the favored approach. Rest assured, we have no desire to invest $20 a month in AI thumbnails that don't align with our preferences. Dude i want to like you, your videos are good. There's not many warcraft lore youtubers anymore. But the A.I. art is a huge dealbreaker. Just put official blizzard art there or better yet draw the person your self. Don't aid in the death of the artist profession.
Thanks for the feedback, the library would certainly use blizzard assets more often if the quality was better, most official blizzard artwork is usually old and low quality (classic WoW art etc) and taking assets straight from the internet opens up to a world of copyright infringement, especially if someone else art has been used in a thumbnail. However much i would like to be able to draw the characters myself, this is simply not a skill I possess / have the time to pursue. I am looking into hiring creators to produce the artwork on the library’s behalf but the costs are as expected relatively expensive. Where the blizzard art is appropriate I will use it but unfortunately a 400x400 square image of a harpy from 2004 wouldn’t cut it for this thumbnail. Which, believe me, annoys me too 😂😂
It doesn’t look overly AI it looks just fine. It could be more eye catching yes but animated AI characters are fine. AI thumbnails portraying humans or real events are the problem.
Human artists have had a century to learn to draw elven clickbait waifus, at some point you gotta allow competition. If there really is something unique about human artists let them show us by creating art better than a machine can.

did we ever get to see those caverns at the peak that we played through in war3 where jaina and thrall met in wow?
There is the Talon Den at the top of stonetalon peak, where horde has couple quests in, which I believe is the in-game version of those caverns.
Indeed as @klaital1 said, there is a small den at the peak but nothing like what we see in the Warcraft III campaign

In this thumbnail, the purple blends with the blue and I scrolled right past it initially.
