    Greetings, everyone! Hope you're enjoying the adventures from the Redridge Mountains. In this tale, we've explored some other facets of lore, due the limited stories from within the mountains themselves. We deeply appreciate your recent support, and it was refreshing to take some much-needed time with family.
    Now, we're back in full swing at the library, with plenty of exciting plans in store for the remainder of this month! ⚔⚔

    Never knew (or paid attention) there was a link between Redridge Mountains with the dragons. I leveled there during the WoTLK, it was a nice zone

      Agreed, redridge was a fun leveling zone. It had a castle with an elite boss mob at the top floor, it had a neat rescue quest in the caves, and there was a loch ness monster hiding at the bottom of the lake.

    Hey! Awesome video as usual!
    For me redridge was the first place i encountered orcs wich as a low level was xciting!
    Redridge is also a beautiful zone for the most part, just imagine it without all the wars that happened there!
    Best wishes from Sweden!

    Massive missed opportunity here by blizzard. For Cataclysm they could have made a raid that includes us going to collect the dragon soul from the guardian in Redrige. I see much more people being around goldshire and making these zones more epic for new starters that when they get to see a raider or someone on mount.

    The Redridge Mountains, located east of Elwynn Forest and southeast of the bustling city of Stormwind, are a region of hilly and mountainous terrain with Lake Everstill at its center. The history of this contested territory is marked by conflict and strategic importance.
    The area now known as the Redridge Mountains was initially settled by humans from Stormwind, who established the town of Lakeshire as a key outpost for trade and defense against wild creatures and bandits. During the First War, the Redridge Mountains became a critical defensive position for the Kingdom of Stormwind. The orcs of the Old Horde, after their invasion of Azeroth, made several incursions into the region, which led to widespread destruction and depopulation.
    In the Second War, the Redridge Mountains again saw significant conflict. The town of Lakeshire and surrounding areas served as battlegrounds between the Alliance forces and the invading orcish armies. Despite heavy damage, the human settlers managed to hold their ground, with the aid of Alliance reinforcements. After the wars, the people of Lakeshire began the arduous task of rebuilding. However, peace was fleeting as gnoll tribes from the north and east started to harass the settlers. The gnolls, led by various chieftains, posed a constant threat, raiding caravans and attacking isolated homesteads. The Redridge Mountains are home to various hostile creatures, including gnolls and murlocs. These creatures have been a perennial nuisance, often disrupting the peace and causing trouble for the local inhabitants.
    More recently, the Blackrock clan, an offshoot of the orcs that once served the Old Horde, established a strong presence in the region. These orcs, entrenched in Stonewatch Keep and the surrounding areas, have been a significant threat to Lakeshire and its citizens. The ongoing skirmishes between the Lakeshire militia and the Blackrock orcs are a constant source of tension. The town of Lakeshire remains a critical strategic point. It serves as a staging ground for Alliance forces and a refuge for those seeking to push back against the encroaching orcish presence. The Everstill Bridge, a vital structure connecting various parts of the region, has been the site of numerous battles and repairs due to continuous assaults.
    Once a proud bastion of human defense, Stonewatch Keep has fallen into the hands of the Blackrock orcs. The keep's strategic position overlooking Lake Everstill makes it a significant stronghold. This large central lake is not only a geographical landmark but also a focal point for many of the region's activities, including fishing and trade. Prominent figures in Lakeshire include Magistrate Solomon, who oversees the town's administration and defense, and Marshal Marris, who leads the local militia in their continuous struggle against external threats.
    The Redridge Mountains' history is a testament to the resilience and determination of its people. Despite facing numerous threats from gnolls, murlocs, and orcs, the inhabitants of Lakeshire continue to defend their homes and strive for peace. The region remains a critical area for the Alliance, serving as a buffer zone against further incursions into the heartlands of Stormwind. The ongoing conflicts, both past and present, highlight the strategic importance of the Redridge Mountains. As a contested territory, it will likely continue to be a focal point for battles and skirmishes, shaping the future of the Eastern Kingdoms.

    There were no dragons in Draenor priot the Blackwing espace, so the Dragonmaw clan couldnt ride any of them. Its was a retcon back then.

    • @TheKarazhanLibrary
      @TheKarazhanLibrary  8 месяцев назад +21

      Indeed! The Dragonmaw Clan would have once ridden their Rylaks in their native home of Gorgrond. This was originally in the tale but during the telling it was removed in an attempt to shorten it. Upon reflection, without the information, the segement doesnt stay true to the lore. Keen eye and ear my friend, thanks! King's honour friend ⚔
