It was during the month of feb-july the "talking phase " As you call it. I would listen to this when the light before sunrise would touch the sky when it was just, the sun and this fuzzy feeling everyday . Listening to this song everytime reminds me of the very room I would sit in and think of him. This song will forever be etched in my heart. I danced with her for the first time at your concert(22 January, 2020). This song echoed all over the ground, and that is when I realised that I wasn't the only one risking their heart. I finally had someone to share this song with.
Exactly a year ago(5 Feb,2020) we shared our first kiss- drunk at a club, carefree and deaf to the crowd behind us. I remember crying uncontrollably right after because of how unreal that moment was.
Today, we aren't together but one thing that I'll always remember is how she tried her best to love me despite all my flaws and how honest she was when she knew about the mortality of our relationship.
This song is where I find her with me. Kissing and swaying, carefree and oh so in love!

Hey Prateek! I am sure you won't notice me but I just wanted to share my story. My boyfriend introduced me to your songs (back in those days when not many people knew about the gem you and your songs are!). HE IS A BIG FAN OF YOURS. I remember the day when he sang "Tum Jab Paas" in the college's music concert. He later told me that it was dedicated to me. We got together after a few months and planned to attend your concert in Kolkata. Alas! We couldn't. But I really wish we attend your concert someday and even meet you in person. The first time I heard this song, it was shared by this girl I had been talking to for a while (I'd known her IRL for some time, but we hadn't talked too much before). Over a month or so, I got too attached to her (and to this song), and I did not hide it. But then she told me she still had feelings for her ex, and that we should probably stop talking so I don't get even more attached and get hurt eventually.
Months later, out of nowhere, she drunk texted me the words "but my heart is a mess". I guess, some part of her wished she could leave me her love too :')
We're now back to being social media friends who text each other occasionally, but this song still reminds me of December 2018 and what could have been :)

Big Fan Prateek, I really want to meet you in person, attend your concert. I was there in Dubai for your concert but some guy cheated me on tickets, though I did got the chance to see you in person, you were returning to the hotel room after the practice session along with the boys. I ran upto your squad and asked for a pic but Aniruddh denied and said we’ll do that after the concert, I didn’t know that I would not be there in the concert just because I got the fake tickets. I literally cried that day.

I came across your music two years ago. At that time, I had no clue how much your music would help me in the long run. This one time (3 months ago), i was having a surge of emotions midnight due to relationship problems and i turned on my spotify for this song. I started crying and i let it out for half an hour. But slowly , this song helped me to cope up with the stress that i was facing at that time. After that event, I can't help myself but listen to this song few times a day. Your music is treating my PTSD, my OCD and it transcends me to a world of peace that I can't even explain to you. Right now I am almost done with my school life , just 1.5 more months left and then my 12th board exams would be over. I look forward to my college life alongside your music. I didn't even realise how and when you took the place of Prateek's songs. There were nights when he used to sing me to sleep. I used to play cold/mess continuously after greeting you night just because I could never allow myself to ask you to stay till I fell sleepy. But I always want to. Knowing how rarely you sleep peacefully, I would never ask you to stay back for me. I wish some night when you aren't able to sleep, with all the right you ask me to sing you a lullaby. I wish I bring some peace to your soul in any way. His songs, they touch my soul, making my heart feel and so do you and your thoughts now. I didn't even realise when you became a song yourself. No offense to his songs but indeed you are a better one. The fact that no one else can play you infinite times and listen you continuously like I do, apart from me, never fails to make me smile.
They talk about the songs which make them feel emotions and when it's you who comes to my mind everytime I'm about to sing, I realise how I have found a song which makes me feel alive.

I have good memories and bad memories of us, but your song makes me forget the bad ones. Everytime I listen to cold/mess, I remember her. Yet it doesn't sting my heart. Your voice is so peaceful. Cold/mess was my most listened to song of 2020, but I'm sure this version replaces it in 2021 ❤️
