Emporio is such a quick study, he really picks up things quickly and he is such a handsome stallion.
Gosh he has made progress, softer in the mouth , some self carriage and the changes well on the way. You must be thrilled with him. 👏🏼
It looks good but Emporio shows his teeth while riding sometimes...but this Time is much better 😊
the second change wasnt good... both legs touched the ground

For having never seen anything like that, Emporio did incredibly well! Towards the end, you could see him start to look ahead for what was coming next. You've got an amazing horse under you. :)

I think every horses should be able to do that no matter their disciplines! I's very good for their mental health to know what to do with theirselves when they encounter different situations!
You should try this with Chase. It would be something that the 2 of you could play with and I think he would do well. I think it would also be nice to see Chase.
He's stated Chase doesn't like the camera much, so I don't think he'd put Chase under the stress of being on camera
@@martielottering5649 He said that he didn’t like the pressure if competition. Not that he didn’t like the camera. In the video where he explained why we don’t see him as much.

Love the music you put behind this video. It reminds me of Fuego Xll's music in 2010, which makes it perfect for Emporio, as a descendant of this line. This was a really enjoyable video in every way. When I was a kid & bringing on babies I was kind of left to my own devices when we were (pony & myself) allowed out unsupervised over the common & trusted not to injure said paid to be produced pony. We had a lovely time. We went through water, over ditches, past the MOD when they were active, jumped off & walked past & sniffed road work obstacles, the possibilities were endless. I would have had had been hung drawn & quarter of the lady that was producing the ponies knew but they ended up being a very well rounded & bombproof & used to being mounted on & off in the weirdest of places, plus being allowed to sniff day to day things like buggy’s, bikes & rubbish. Also, just to have some fun! Allowing them to experience a huge range of different things outside the school or yard works their brains & as long as you are calm, patient & understanding, you allow the pony/horse to think for themselves & they then become so much more confident & street wise. Plus it’s also fun to get to know them as each of them are all individuals. We learn with each & every one of them & with that we can bring on the youngsters with much more experience & safe fun.

I do puddle training with my PRE -- every time there's considerable rain, I walk him through puddles. I got tired of having to get off during hacks to cross puddles 😂

I mean, Emporio is coming along GLORIOUSLY and is looking so, so nice, but honestly you have also come such a long way, Matt! You are looking so steady and confident in the saddle now. You’re such an inspiration in so many ways - thank you! 👏👏
Emporio did great after he understood what you wanted. He is so beautiful and filling out nicely. I think you and Jesse should do more of these and it does help get Emporio used to different things. Thank you both for taking the time to share this. Enjoyed it so much.

I just love how you all have such a great time together! Everyone, including the horses are having fun!
Your boy is amazingly brave and sensible for such a young horse. He is looking as if he hasn't been getting quite enough work since the weather has been rotten as he has put on a fair bit of weight. I would suggest more hay and a wee bit less rich food just to protect his health. He has such a lovely relationship with you and really trusts that you wouldn't ask him to do anything too dangerous. I was really impressed with his response to the red tinsel. A small part of him was frightened of the strange stuff but by the end he was enjoying poking at it with his nose. What a sweet guy! Remember that he is used to you being on him or beside him. He had more difficulty with you standing in front of him trying to get him to walk over the cardboard than he did with the cardboard itself. He seems like a horse that might walk beside you over scary stuff rather than being pulled toward it. Never underestimate his bravery! Thank you all for giving us something to enjoy this winter!
This horse is just incredible.....awesome progress, congrats!!!!!! I think this might be a really great horse for working equitation, that’s also one of the best disciplines for this breed of horses
So much fun to watch you boys play in the manage. We call that an "obstacle course ". Helping you to bond with the horse, building trust and exercising his brain. What a fabulous horse, your doing a wonderful job Matt, thanks for sharing. God bless.
Wow! Emporio is five years old already. He is gorgeous. I was hoping that you would let him stretch down, engage at the walk and show a little swing in his back. It is good that you are getting him out of the dressage arena to keep him interested.

I love watching you ride. You are so patient and kind with him. I used to ride until my mid 30's, but now at 63 after one knee replacement (and I'm facing another one this coming February) I've had to give up a lot of sports. You have beautiful hands, keep up the good work!

I love courses like these!! They're soooo good for building trust and for horses to get used to all types of different objects/situations. And they are just plain fun :D
This is like a Western Trail class in the U.S. A lot of horses have trouble walking over cardboard or a plastic tarp for the first time. Helps if they can watch another horse doing it first, then follow that horse as that horse crosses ahead of him.👍🏾
What a great job you have done building on your relationship with him, you see the trust he has in you. He is absolutely stunning to look at especially when he is working under saddle. Congrats on your successes with him, can't wait to see more!
