Paint on these Mitsubishi are really thin. Nearly all the ones in Australia have the same clear coat problem. I had mine repainted through insurance. Can you pick up a cheap/wrecked standard lancer VRX and pull the nice interior bits and some engine trim, stuff like keyless entry and rain sensor wipers etc, then flip it? We have heaps at the wreckers.
@@MitchDore I’m only guessing too. I bought mines for 14k has the exact same issues as that one. My cousin found one for 11k in much better conditions. Which really bums me out 😢

Check to see if he upgraded the fuse relays. The pump and injector relays, we'll known upgrade that will mess up idle and top end

Curious how much the paint repair will be I have similar issues with mine.
I can get a whole car painted for $2500-3600 lots of local body shots will do it.
