These guys are one of the more fun enemies in the game to kill with parries or by just sitting behind a greatshield and going stabby stabby with a thrusting rapier
The real boss of this fight is the poke move from the sword Crusible knight after you figure out the insane range and traking it has most of the attacks are pretty easy to parry. Though fighting them at level 1 where 1 hit means game over is something else completely, nicely done
I just know there's a chance their hurtboxes overlap your hitbox as you come out of a critical hit. I'd love to see a montage of all the unlucky deaths.
I fought them the last couple days and beat them with golden parry + the health and fp critical strike talismans after 3 hours of work I can't tell you how many times that exact situation happened. The overlap of their attacks can be downright unfair so often
Your parrying skills are dominant The fact that you're level 1 and doing this inspires even someone over-leveled like myself to actually smarten up. My problem is that I have the impulse to fight them like it's freaking Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter.
I just stumbled upon these guys a few days ago, took several tries and used all my flasks but I got them, it would've taken much longer but I'd fought a few of them already so I knew their moves. Very happy I was able to beat them, I had doubts I could even get thru this game as it was my first Souls/Borne and I tried Morgit like 30 times before I got him. Lol everything after him got much much easier but I'm no where near this level of skill. xD absolutely crazy, well done!
The parry god strikes again! I beat these two three days ago, found the fight quite interesting. You need to be super extra patient until the game gives you a good opening, but you also need to be really confident in your own rolls to close the distance with each of them when you need to land some damage. I feel like this is a trend in Elden Ring, where the game is always asking you to take more and more risk. Seeing you destroy them with parries just shows how broken that mechanic is once you master it. Also, since you've mastered the parry, do you have some tips ? Deflection in Sekiro is insanely generous, you just need to press the button half a second before the attack connects, but in ER its uh... I don't get it. The timing is much more strict, but even then, there are things that are not crystal clear. So, the thing that bugged me at first with Sekiro was that the animation doesn't really matter. If you have all your deflection frames (30 frames), then it doesn't matter AT ALL whether Wolf is raising his sword or is already in stance when the attack connects, you press the button half a second at most before the attack connects, and Wolf will deflect. However, I feel that in Elden Ring the animation matters. In ER, the parry animation happens in two parts : first the character raises their shield (windup) and then they perform a deflect animation. When does the parry happen then ? By practicing on some enemies, it seems that the character must be raising the shield when the attack connects (which makes no sense to me, why perform a deflect move then ?). If the attack connects while the deflect animation is playing, then you take partial damage and a lot of stamina damage. Am I correct ? Also, what is the difference between the classic parry (like the Ash of War "Parry") and the Buckler Parry ? The description states that the Buckler Parry is *faster* than a regular parry, but how so ? Like... Is the animation shorter and you take back control of your character faster ? Thank you :)
Parries in DS/ER work kind of like dodges, as in they have special frames where if an attack hits you, you pull off the parry. The frames are in the movement of the shield after the windup, the sideways motion is the parrying, but the window starts the moment the shield is fully raised. You can test this by parrying against a wall while riding an elevator - there will be sparks on the wall during the parry frames. The buckler parry being faster means its windup is almost instantaneous, so it has very similar to Sekiro timings and you can start the parrying motion later and still pull off the parry. The regular parry takes about half a second to wind up.

I was so worried at 2:49 knowing that tail whip was likely coming but wasn't sure. Also I just want to comment about how almost perfect that timing was on the Ordovis kill as the other was almost exactly halfway
Truly amazing! I just beat them for the first time. I didn't use parrying because I didn't properly learn how to (especially in boss fight and even more so when there's few enemies close to each other), I had a really hard time and it wasn't at all fun. I think that one on one crucible knights CAN be pretty fun to fight, but two on one was a terrible idea. It felt more than just a terrible boss design, it felt like it was intentionally torturous and unfair - both had quite a bit of hp, both were very fast, sticked close to each other, both were aggressive and didn't take turns attacking you, both had a second phase(I especially hated the tail guy's sweep attack, for no reason it was a double one, had absurd range that was probably half or more of the arena and dealt too much damage) and their attacks range also felt off, like their weapon hitboxes extended way beyond their actual weapons... It was like this fight was designed to be the most horrible experience. So congratulations on beating them like this. It makes me happy to see you humiliate them.
I really like the tone of the fight as soon as Ordovis goes down. It's like now that you can focus on just the one, you can be ALOT more aggressive and just ruin his day lol
Me: fighting two Crucible Knights solo just seems impossible Ongbal: hold my Buckler This is art. At this point I was almost surprised you didn't also parry their flying attacks lol.
The key take away on this for me is be especially aware of your distance to them. That takes practice with their weapon hit box. Use pillars if you can to make their abilities stop short. Don't push both past 50% at the same time if you can help it. I personally like simply jumping the angel wing attack from Ord but roll is safer with both alive Parry 😂
No joke, it took longer to beat these guys than to beat Malenia 🤬

Took me no less than 50 attempts to kill those aholes. Only killed them last night. I tried using parries again the crucible knight but it did not work at all, burnt over 10 rune arcs to no avail, ashes, that did not work. In the end i just spammed him with firepots.
@@dmitc01 Nice I ended up skipping that fight altogether by beating the magma optional boss and exploring abit. I did beat the crucible knight duo and it was rough, I think I ran around and parried one got there health bar close to half way before it goes to phase 2 then, the other just parried and hit whenver i could, think the one with the sword is harder especially in phase 2 with that annoying tail even rougher for me was godskin duo looooooooool
Satisfied watching these shit get destroyed by Elden lord.
They say seeing is believing but I’m still in disbelief at what I just witnessed with my own eyes. Truly incredible. Wow.
omg starting at 2:53 you get four parries back-to-back. So beautiful, this is poetry in video game form
First knight dies: I'm sorry brother, continue without me
Second knight: I'M FIGHTIN' FOR MY F* LIFE OUT HERE
Before Sekiro, now this....
You're one hell of a gamer
Never thought I'd learn so much from watching an invincible naked man fight.
So this is what a true Elden Lord looks like..
0:51 wtf … you are soo good!! GG
Been waiting for this video! Good work
2:14 옹발님 플레이 영상을 보면 "와 이거 가능하겠는걸?" 이런 희망이 샘솟습니다.
하지만 내 손은 옹발님 손이 아니었고...
You're a frickin legend at this bro.. love ur videos man, keep it up❤🙌🏼
This man is the literal god of parries.
Were all just side characters existing in this MC's story of greatness...
Getting the parries figured out on these boys is so satisfying. But you are next level, impressive work here sir!
I VE DONE IT. I HAVE FINALLY BEATED THESE GUYS W PARRY ONLY!!!!!! I saw your video and decided to try it. After 6 attempts I made it. Never had to use my physic. Thank you sincerely Ongbal❤️
When you jump at the last ground hittings, I thought "Man, he made Elden Ring become his own Sekiro's world!"
Hey man someone shared your vid and i come right up,Congrats bro that was some sick plays.
I see you recorded some of my practice gameplay....
Incredible work.
I was so worried at 2:49 knowing that tail whip was likely coming but wasn't sure. Also I just want to comment about how almost perfect that timing was on the Ordovis kill as the other was almost exactly halfway
Daaaamn! Your parry skill really sick, I love it
"Ordovis! He's not constantly rolling away from us. I don't know what to do, bro!"
This is what Git Good means, this is God level!
I didn't think humans could get this good. This guy must see in slow-mo.
Every time I need motivation I come back to these Wretch videos
The god of parries you're truly incredible a great inspiration 👌🏽🙌🏽
Chaining parries like that and so consistently is NUTS! 🔥
I am struggling to parry one crucible knight with a normal build. This was the inspo I needed!
I really like the tone of the fight as soon as Ordovis goes down. It's like now that you can focus on just the one, you can be ALOT more aggressive and just ruin his day lol
You are an absolute beast brother! Love your videos!
Ordovis: "I'm going to hit you!"
** gets parried **
Ordovis: "oh sh*t, brother, hit him!"
Crucible Knight: "hiyaaa!!"
** gets parried **
Crucible Knight: "Ordovis, I got parried too, your turn now!"
Ordovis: "hiyaaaaaa!!"
** gets parried **
Both knights: "oh, sh*t"
🤣
This mans really has No Hesitation
These parries Are Godlike
Am I the only one that finds it hilarious when a naked dude parries big ass weapons with a tiny shield? Good job, man.
From all your videos the parry focused are definitely the best... especially from Sekiro 😊
just imagine the entire Elden Ring verse hearing a boss music as you enter the game
Unreal skill. A living legend.
Me: fighting two Crucible Knights solo just seems impossible
Ongbal: hold my Buckler
This is art. At this point I was almost surprised you didn't also parry their flying attacks lol.
The sound of parries are just beautiful man
The key take away on this for me is be especially aware of your distance to them. That takes practice with their weapon hit box.
Use pillars if you can to make their abilities stop short.
Don't push both past 50% at the same time if you can help it.
I personally like simply jumping the angel wing attack from Ord but roll is safer with both alive
Parry 😂
2:12 that pixel perfect riposte animation "dodge" holyy
"This video will help me beat them"
"Need to pull off 25 parries in a row"
....
2:13 didn't know it was possible... Beautiful!
I clicked the video without seeing who posted it, one minute in i was like “oh this must be ongbal” - god damn.
