- In this video I talk about the incredible value of the AKG Y600NC headphones. Bluetooth AAC and UHQ along with no power running using 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable. Incredible sound quality for the price of $79.99. Can be purchased at Harmon.com or AKG.com.
just saw the deal for $60
Yes, for $63 (after tax) with 2 day shipping air for free, I just ordered a pair
@Hezi I didn't pay any taxes. I paid exactly $59.99 and the free 2-day shipping.
Walmart has them for $60 in addition to the Harmon deal. Bought 3 pairs! Cheers!
Just bought one for $59.99 with free shipping. Can't wait to have it
HEY DUDE , WHY DID YOU PEOPLE TREAT THE AFRICANS SO RACIST ?
I've had my pair since Christmas 2021, use them everyday and still going strong, great headphones.
How's the Bass on these and the mic for calls
Thanks for the video! I bought a pair. You can find them everywhere, for $60 now. I appreciate you going over the functions. It had no true manual in packaging.
great video! Glad to see im not the only one who thinks these arent getting the love they deserve
dude thank you! I stumbled upon this deal yesterday and couldn't say no. You got me thinking of getting a second pair, subbed!
Thanks
I just got two pair for $120 and free 2-Day shipping. They are currently $59.99.
Thanks
thanks for the review gonna buy them for everyday use and maybe some gaming
I can tell you I'm nobody's talking about them, it's because it's a brand behind the headphones has now been sold off to Samsung, and the people who make the older headphones on AKG are now working at Austrian technologies
At its new price point. .. WOW!
Usually listen tethered. Having BT is a nice feature when wired is impractical.
I agree that the ID of the ear pads is on the smaller side and the not perfect fit around my big ears can get kinda uncomfortable with extended use. If you're lying down the big (entire back!) volume knob can move if you do.
Small gripes for a very nice set of cans. Worth the discounted price and then some.
Harman, Walmart, and Amazon have them for $60…. Got myself a pair as well
I saw an ad on Cnet for these at 59.99 so at 4am I bought some headphones. I watched this video and some others and this does seem to be the bargain of the day/year for me. On average I would get about 30 feet in range from Bluetooth headsets and I would love to know if these can do better. I haven't found one review or FAQ that addresses that but I will know soon. Liked and subscribed! 👍
I didn’t test range in these. Thanks for subscribing
I bought them because of that CNET article too lol
yup, just received mines today
@@user-jm9ep3zp5g What do you think of them?
@@warmlycalculated390 i haven't tested the sound yet but very nice quality and controls, great design...and at under $60, a steal.
I want to jump on this for the price but already have the Sony WH-1000XM4's and love them
Believe me, I have the MX4 and MX3's as well, stick with them.
I just bought these headphones a week ago, and I think they suck.
@@jimmycrackkorn1596 😮 damn, something about the specs lost me. I think it was not being able to connect to multiple devices or not being usb-c. Something turned me off
I have the y500 and broke 2 pairs. How is yours holding up?
Thanks I was on the fence about these but I think I'll get them. I love the Harmon kardon sound I have a receiver and three onyx speakers
Check out my iem review of the akm n5005. OMG $1000 flagship for $200 bucks. Some of the best iems I’ve heard and super nice packaging.
@@ThriftShopReviews i dont like in ear earbuds. the only ones that ever fit were soundcore liberty 2 pro and i still prefer over ear headphones specifically open back for audiophile needs. these y600s look good for travel though. i have the soundcore q30, q35 and q45 also and theyre prettt good
@@michael8590 I understand some technical differences can be better by iems. If you haven’t tried planar iems or headphones you absolutely need to.
Did you get them?
@@realkoko-loco yeah sounds great i use them with my tab s7+ for the samsung coded
It's great to see an actual audiophile review these. So many bluetooth reviewers are just like, "X headphones got epic bass, stylish build that gym thots will wanna slide in your DMs, and the ANC drowns out the noise of my mom yelling at me while playing counterstrike." Is there much sound difference between wired & wireless? What closed-backs do they sound most similar to--I'm imagining they sound similar to the m50x or m40x when wired and switched off, because even though you describe them as neutral, I can't imagine AKG would release a truly neutral bass in consumer headphones. That would be amazing, though. Feel free to use audiophile terminology.
Liked and subbed, thanks man. Keep it up
Got them from Walmart, $59.99. Comfortable, good sound.
Just purchased these for $60. 🎉👍
I own these they are great rn for the price only $60 best headphones for the price honestly
Just got me a pair hope they good
Ebay also has them for 79.99 as well
Nice video my friend they look good! 😎👌🏼
Super headphones. I got 3 pairs😅
Do you have a problem with yours that the adjustment to make them bigger don't stay in place
Nope
@@ThriftShopReviewsbut you said in the video that you did have an issue. You said you wish the adjustable head band didn't move so much and was a little tighter. No? Just checking
I have sony xm4s and vmoda crossfade wireless 2s are these akg headphones worth it?
Yes
You are talking about headphones around $300. These beats the price
That’s bc Samsung keep pushing them back and barely made them available recently
Does it have noice cancelling like AirPods
They do have noise cancellation technology with various options that can be controlled easily via the AKG App. Although not as good as AirPods during my testing.
They have but i don’t think the noise cancelling would be great considering that they’ve been released 4 years ago
noise canceling is decent but they are naturally better than airpods because they cover your entire ear
How's the Bass on these?
Mic for calls?
Good and you can adjust with the app
So there are actually 2 years old same time as AirPods Max and all that not bad
They sound amazing.
They're on sale for 38 USD in my country. Is it worth it?
For that price, ABSOLUTELY
if the latency is low for gaming then id consider them
Why would you use Bluetooth and have concerns of latency….
Do you recommend for gaming?
I’m not a gamer but they are good at layering and separation so they should be great.
Do these work on an Xbox?
do they fit nice in the ear? i have an akg k77 and if i use them too much my ears start hurting
Could be a bit larger but no main issues.
Do they get loud though? Also how's the bass?
I don't think they get loud.
Just bought a pair can't wait I have airpods max and xm5 and 4 but I love a deal . And I don't really use anc and I think they look kinda sick . Thx for information.
You will like them
seems like a nice solution for the "GYM" bc of how cheap the price of entry is, the sweat and damage it can do to earcups esp on some EXPENSIVE options, vs buying a "PAIR" for a few $$$ more than OE replacement PADS....XD. As well as noise cancelling for how loud it can be seems like a good proposition. Or those that have GROWN accustomed to the new half remote work weeks etc that want that Price conscious QOL boost when ideally working from home partially during the week.
Just got mine a week ago.
They are just "ok".
Now I know why they were only $60.00.
I kike their design, and they have a nice solid feel to them.
I just don't think they sound all that great.
AND they're not loud enough.
People say the volume is LOW
They are, relatively speaking. They are lower than my Soundcore Q35s. If you were using them in isolation, they're fine overall. They key point is the price. If these were regular price, they'd be a comparably terrible option. For $60-80 they're good.
@@Radykall1 Have you tried disabling Absolute Volume in Developer Options?
I find them to be a little quieter than I care for, but with the noise cancellation ambient sound is quieter and it seems to cancel out the low volume.
the value of 60$ price of entry for type c/harmon curve....will only get as far as the cost of replacement pads/pad life, and storage/transport as those swivel arms will no doubt snap just like they do on the MAJORITY of HP that have an arm like these(pioneer hdj/Sony Xb950n1). Imo the ones with 1 arm/swivel are even worse than the C shaped arms. If Definitely consider a hard carrying case for these. For the price id call these ideal for the gym...60$ get them all hot n SOGGY.....dont have to worry about doing the same exact thing to sony XM1000s...or other 300-400$ cans. While maintaining a RELATIVE level of "performance" even if simulated/eq....they seem like a value proposition to collectors, or those seeking a Price conscious BT HP/entry into wireless headphones.
I'm looking into these. Can you give me more info or direct me to where I can find info about these snapping?
@@Radykall1 I think hes talking about in general. Most headphones that have simillar swivel arms break in very short time. That been said, my now 3 year old SRH440 ( which are very famous for snapping in that exact location ) have been fine, so hopefully this will be too.
Dig it
My set won't take a charge anymore.
You have to use the included wire, in a USB A chargers. It won't work with any other.
@@warmlycalculated390 works now. Thanks
@@lacboiatl Glad I could help! Thanks for letting me know :).
