I had my daughter my freshman year in college.
I refused to drop out and become a statistic.
So many people tried to shame me and I resented being a mother for the first few years, especially because of my daughter's special needs.
I had to grow. What the devil meant to destroy me, God turned into my biggest blessing.
I finished undergrad.
I have two masters degrees today❣️

Lack of relationship with God will have people looking for fulfillment in other things. My parents been married 30 years and my dad had the sex talk with me and my sister and even told us men will say anything to have sex yet I still had sex before marriage. I held out until I was 20 but I still had sex and was in Fornication for almost 9 years until I got pregnant. Me having my baby was a wake up call. I Rededicated my life back to God and became celibate. If it wasn’t for my relationship with God I’d still be sleeping around because sex is addicting once you have it. But thank God for the Holy Spirit because that gives me strength! Have not had sex in 2 years and won’t unless God leads me into marriage one day. I grew up in the church knowing God but wanted to live like the world. Shows like Gossip Girl, Sex In The City, etc made sex seem like so much fun, even made toxic relationships seem Intriguing. Relationship with God is the best fulfillment.

in my opinion its not that black and white. Marriage is not the qualifier for whether sex is moral or immoral. Sex, orgasms, sexuality and all that is natural and god given. Sex is not wrong and it CAN be fun. Unfortunately many people have not had any talks with ANYBODY and make mistakes with sex IN and out side of marriage. And on the other end many adults do lead HEALTHY sex lives without shame, guilt, toxicity, Disease, unplanned pregnancy, promiscuity, and condemnation. Theres not a lot of teaching with healthy and positive views about sex in the Christian world. Its sex is wrong unless youre married and this coming from people who got it in with whoever they wanted before marriage (f they even get married) It is more beneficial to educate and teach people to make wiser decisions concerning sex and relationships. To wait until they are actually ready. The reality is in 2021 people arent getting married as TEENAGERS like they did in the bible days. And actually marriage is not promised to ANYBODY. Some people will never get married even with celibacy. I practiced abstinence for many years and it was for my growth and healing and what felt right to me in my spirit. People must follow the right path for them

@@9188jenni I kind of see what u are saying. That being said when I Rededicated my life back to God I decided to live for God and obey his word. So that is why I decided I will not have sex unless I’m married. Now does that mean I’ll get married? There is a possibility I won’t but I just have to trust that God will bring forfullment into my life in different ways. If I do things my way instead of Gods way then I’m not living in obedience. At the end of the day when I leave this earth I will have to give God a account for my decisions and I don’t want to tell him I did this and that because I felt like it or it was right in my eyes. Sex is something that is beautiful when shared with the right person and that also involves marriage. U can disagree with the marriage part but it’s true anything involving sex outside of marriage is sin. And I no longer want to willfully live in sin(I still struggle with thinking lustfully but the more I focus on God the less I think that way) when you know better you do better. Now do people get married and still have issues with lust and other drama? Yes! But that’s why we need to open that conversation up more so people can start to fix that problem and have Healthy Marriages. Dismissing marriage and doing this your own way isn’t the solution to that problem.

You said it takes 2 to tango...problem is too many people are doing the horizontal mamba with too many different partners! Find you one partner to settle down and dance with for life. Your mind, body, and soul will be better off. Sit down sometimes and even slow dance in this dance of life. Let God be your partner. He will be your peaceful music of tranquility and splendor. Give him a try.

If he’s healthy co-parenting will work. If he’s toxic it will hurt both you and the children.
What if coparenting has no boundaries, and just goes any way that’s convenient for the father? What if the mother is fed up to the point of leaving him to take care of the kids?

I am myself a graduate student and I am about to finish in September. I feel that 80% of my life is already going into the right track and almost put together.I have so many hopes and dreams because it is the end of a long journey. I see the same pattern with my friends who are in the same situation.Some of them getting ready to apply for PhDs(myself for MD PhD), some of them ready to go for an internship in another part of the world before a PhD, some of them ready to work and some of them ready to have children and get married. It is the kind of hope that I never saw before during our studies. I would say he has the same feeling, full with hope because his life is getting put together.

My situation was very similar 25 years ago. A toxic relationship turned into a toxic marriage.

Yeah that’s what I can tell LOL
This is a lesson to be careful and not take chances on things that could have serious consequences and to not consider them casual and having fun because the woman can end up most of the times with soul ties, wasted years, a baby or a disease. And if you do have a baby, his safety, tranquility and happiness becomes your priority so co-parent only if the other parent brings a positive difference, balance, support, care, knowledge into the child's life.

I got so many stories to tell!!! I think I am ready to share some of them... especially about this co parenting thing...
I know it may seem like it is so important right now and having to face the fact your child may not have a father....but it’s not. All a baby needs is the essentials for the first several years. That is what’s important so just take a breather and focus on being a good provider for your baby.
I strongly, respectfully disagree. I do think from the womb a father's presence is needed and helps the child thrive. But obviously if that guy is not in the picture a child can still flourish. I definitely understand your opinion though.
@@pat4eva09 this was not a diminishing a man’s role post. No where was I saying that. A baby doesn’t know who is what for the first years. All a baby know is the basics. That’s all she needs to focus on and not whether or not her child will have a father in its life. That is wasted energy when she’ll need all her energy to provide for her baby what it needs from her. Some women will literally fall into depression or get stuck on their child’s father not being there.

Exactly. If I was her I would be back in college, working part-time, and staying at my parent's house til I'm on my feet. Her father is present, so she doesn't need the deadbeat as a masculine role model. She can move on with her life and create a family of her own. No need to dwell on and fret over someone who chooses not to be involved.
Right all she can do at this point is focus on herself as a Mother now and focus on her child that she has had by a man she had no real clue about other than he look good probably. She is probably embarrassed that she ended up in this situation, because not too many people willingly go for this. She has had a baby by a Man who changed his number so that she could not contact him. She had to chase him down on Instagram. I mean this is a hot mess, but it is what it is.

Sis, you guys were a FWB situation. I don't understand why you thought he would act favorably to the news that you were pregnant, ESPECIALLY, if both of you were cheating on your respective partners. AFTER you've had a child with this man isn't the time to determine he's DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH.

because of legal issues or other issues sadly.

What advice do you give to a newly single mom who decided not to give her child the fathers name and the father decided not be in the child’s life?
Make God your best friend and kneeology your favourite subject, that is something I went through and I'm telling you it's going to be really really challenging, especially if you have a son. The child will ask questions about their father no matter how awesome of a parent you are. But let not your heart be troubled, it is going to be harder to raise your child to be a well-rounded individual, but once you do the work, everything will work out in Jesus name. Spend a lot of time with your child, and be a godly example that they can follow. I hope this helps. 😊
