Have been looking forward to this one Dave. Very interesting stories about Morag and loch Morar, love it. Stunning drone footage too Dave, really really well flown!! :D Fantastic, thank you so much for sharing this video!
Wild and beautiful view . A Monster in Loch Morar ? The answer till in secrete after many years . Enjoyed your video till the end , big thumb up . Stay healthy , my new friend .
Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏. You’re very kind. Yes, it could still be true that there is a creature or creatures in the Loch. maybe from the Sea which is so close and linked by a very short river. But we will probably never know. It’s a beautiful and mysterious place. Thanks for watching and your kind comments. Hope you’ve had a great weekend 👍👍👍
Thanks very much. It’s a really special place and we loved it there. It has an atmosphere like no where we’ve ever been. So beautiful and peaceful. Hope you’re having a great weekend 👍👍👍
Ha thanks Dara. I heard the stories when I was a kid - they’ve always stuck with me. Maybe Seals or a Basking Shark made it up the river. It’s only a few hundred yards to the Loch? All I can say is that sitting on your own at the wild far reaches of the Loch as the mists and rain came in was a very strange experience. I will confess to looking over my shoulder a few times!! 😃😳
Thanks very much. 🙏🙏🙏 It’s a stunning place, so very remote and atmospheric and beautiful - when you’re on your own in the mists and rain, it’s easy to imagine the legends and myths coming true!! Thanks again - hope you’re having a great weekend 👍👍👍
Thankyou - it’s a really special place. The atmosphere on the Loch is mysterious and evocative. We loved it there. Thanks for watching and hope that you had a great weekend 👍👍👍
Thanks Wade It’s an amazing story. I was sceptical until I heard about the Loch Superintendent He’s a bit embarrassed I think - but just can’t explain what he witnessed three years ago. It’s such a beautiful place.
What an absolutely gorgeous video! The beautiful blue water and the mountains are just so stunning. The music choice is spot on perfect. I believe there is something unusual in the water there as too many people have reported a similar sighting. I hope it stays hidden so no one harms it if it’s real. I liked the information you put up on the screen for us, telling us the story.
Thanks Dave. Well all I can say is that the place is very atmospheric and beautiful. Sitting by the Loch on my own in the mist and rain was very special. It’s a vast space and there’s never anyone there. No access to the Eastern end at all. So the sightings are strange to say the least - especially the Loch Superintendent who can’t explain what he saw three years ago. And he was an arch sceptic. Maybe it’s animals like Porpoises making navigational errors up the river But we will probably never know what’s been seen. Anyway, a special place - thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it 👍👍👍👍
Thx for sharing ur trip footage, never had chance to visit Scotland, enjoy watching every single video you share with us. Happy weekend 😊 😃 😀 😄 😁 . God bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️ 💖 .
Suspenseful and dramatic! I really enjoyed your photography, quite a contrast between the cloudy day, and then the sunshine! Loved the drone footage and views of the lake. I hadn’t heard of morag before… I’m sure there’s something in the water!! 👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ha thanks Jen. I had heard the legend and stories as a kid and I remember that Loch Ness was a big thing back then which has sparked hordes of tourists today. But Loch Morar is so different - quite inaccessible and at the Eastern end a true wilderness area with no road access at all. In fact the Road only goes for a mile and a half of the ten miles length. Loch Ness has roads on both sides for its full length and is many miles from the Sea. Loch Morar is connected to the Sea by only around 250 yards of outflow so that means that maybe a sea creature like a Basking Shark or Seals or Porpoises could have made it into the Loch? Anyway, sitting on my own halfway down the Lochside with no one for miles as the mists and rain rolled in was very atmospheric. I must admit to looking over my shoulder a few times!! 😃😃
@@NBNatureTrailvan 😄 Just don’t go out on a boat by yourself! It seems those stories are the most believable - people who had a real close encounter, not just seeing something from shore. It sounds very possible that a known sea animal could make its way to the lake… I’m not sure about the switch from salt water to fresh water… but our salmon return up to their spawning grounds after being in the ocean for several years. I’m sure other species can go salt / fresh water too. Anyway, enjoyed hearing about the stories, we’ve all heard about Loch Ness, but not really specific details. Great video!! 😄👌
Awesome video Dave. There for a minute I thought we were watching a horror flick. LOL. Cool to read about the history and the legend. Awesome photography and video. I always take a skeptic approach to things but I'm also a believer seen some crazy stuff in my days too. Besides they're still discovering new creatures every year. Who knows, maybe this one is yet to be discovered. Take care and have a wonderful day.
I’m a bit of a sceptic too mate, but this place got to me somehow. It is just so remote at the Eastern end - a true wilderness plus it’s so close to the Sea at the Western end with a short connecting river. So I think anything could have made it into the Loch if only for a short period. All I know is that I was sitting on the shore at the remote end with the mists and rain coming in and I just couldn’t help looking over my shoulder a few times 😃
Dave that was terrific mate. Absolutely 1st class from start to finish. Love the account and the way you ended it - clever way of leaving the watcher to pond on what they saw. That drone footage 😍😍😍 what a truly fabulous place and the perfect day 👌♥️
It’s a wonderful place Phil. Seriously beautiful and very atmospheric I sat on my own at the side of the Loch, miles from anywhere, one morning with the mists and rain and cloud coming in And you can feel the atmosphere of the place. Just feel it. Loved it there
Your video is excellent! One of a kind! Browsing your videos is like going back to school all over again! Benefit me for life! thank you for your sharing! I wish you a healthy and happy day!
Cheers Turtle 🙏🙏👍👍 It’s the third time I’vebeen at 400 I think Down to 396 the first time and then 399 the second Maybe this time 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤣🤣🤣🤣 That Loch is a really special place. Love it there - so atmospheric - makes you want to look over your shoulder sometimes 😬 Hope you’ve had a good week
Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏 I’m so glad you enjoyed this one - it’s a very special place and feels magical somehow. Evocative of the past. And thanks so much for your support. It means a lot 🙏🙏🙏🙏
It may not be as famous as Nessie but it's the quiet sneaky ones that will get you every time, Dave! Would have loved to see you capture it one video. Beautiful Loch and stunning scenery though. Loved it! Thanks so much for bringing us along.
Cheers guys. It’s a brilliant place. Very very atmospheric and when you’re in your own it plays tricks with your mind. I must admit to looking over my shoulder a few times 😃😃
Cheers mate. A special place - sitting on the loch side, miles from anyone as the the mists and rain comes in was an amazing experience!!! I kept looking over my shoulder too 😃😃😃
Amazing drone footages as usual! Your video editing is impressive! Interesting story about the secrets of the loch .. I always hear stories about the sea monsters even in lakes here in Canada :-) Thanks for sharing.
Great stories aren’t Grace. This one - who knows? - seems there may be some truth in a couple of them. All I know is that sitting on the shore of the Loch, with the mists and clouds and rain rolling in made me look over my shoulder a couple of times. 😃
Did you see the monster? Nice little movie. Interesting. Thanks for sharing, Dave. Well filmed. Beautiful. I wish you a pleasant evening. Best regards, Knut.
Thanks Knut. Loved it there, a really special place - unspoilt and peaceful. But I must admit that in the mist and rain, it has a really atmospheric feel that I’ve not really felt anywhere else. Almost mystical. I know that sounds crazy but it’s such a vast body of water that is so remote. Ha no I didn’t see anything untoward - just the complete beauty of the place. Hope you’re having a good weekend Knut 👍👍
It really is Antonio. Rarely visited - a huge body of water, with direct access to the Sea. Who knows what people saw. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍👍
What an awesome compilation footage and history mate! Love the way you put this one together! Awesome music choice as well! Stay well and enjoy the rest of your weekend!:)
Cheers Peter. It’s a really special place, remote and utterly beautiful. And it has an amazing atmosphere too. Didn’t see a soul when I was there each time. And when the mists roll in…… 😃
Thankyou. 🙏🙏🙏. It’s a really special place - especially in the mists and the rain. Loved it there - so atmospheric. Hope you’re having a good weekend 👍👍
Hallo Dave.... first of all what a fantastic documentary of you.!!! Breathtaking and i got sucked completely into your mysterious story and exiting images and of course the beautiful music of Serge. This is such a complete documentary with so many good elements in it and excellent edited.Twelve points!! And for me....?? The mystery must stay there till the end of time. Greetings Gijs
Hiya Gijs And thanks for your kind comments 🙏🙏🙏 Yes, I agree, there is something about legends which will always remain unknown. For me, I am guessing that sea creatures like Seals or Porpoises have made it into the loch temporarily ( the Sea is so close), and that is what has been seen. But who knows. All I know is that sitting on the Loch shore at the far end in the wilderness, with the mists and rain coming in, had me looking over my shoulder. Hope you’re well my friend and that you have a good weekend👍👍
Thanks. 🙏🙏🙏. Glad you enjoyed it. It’s an amazing place - we absolutely love it there - it’s a spectacular place!! Hope you are doing well and that you’re having a good week 👍👍👍
Thankyou. You’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏. It’s a wonderful place and we had an amazing Road trip Really glad that you enjoyed this one and hoping that you’re well and having a good week 👍👍👍
What a beautiful place and great video! Hard to dismiss all those stories from the witnesses... I felt like I'm on the edge of the seat just watching your video, never mind being there in person! 😀👍
Ha thanks 🙏. Yes it’s a stunning g pace and when the mists and rain come down, one of the most atmospheric places I’ve ever visited. It’s a vast body of water with direct access to the Sea. And little visited and remote, unlike Loch Ness which is a tourist honeypot. I was a sceptic but the words of the Loch Superintendent just three years ago, swayed me a lot. Why not a sea animal that swam up the river into the Loch? And some really good descriptions from sane and sober locals who wouldn’t want tourists flocking there. A great story at least. Glad you enjoyed this one and hope you’re having a great weekend 👍👍👍👍
Even more mysterious in the fog and clouds...I might stick my toes in the shallows, but don't think I'd be swimming any time soon in the depths! Now look at that beautiful full sun...and the rushing river...beautiful...and those dark blues of the loch...awesome indeed! Lovely memories! Bruce and Otis
Thanks Bruce. One of my favourite places that we have visited in the last few years. There’s just something about it - a feeling that makes you almost awestruck. Loved it there. I knew if the legend and sightings but it’s not well known and hasn’t been commercialised like Loch Ness (thankfully). So you can just sit on your own with no one else for miles!! Such a beautiful place!!
Love the story of the Loch. So neat you got to visit this beautiful place. Was that your drone work towards the end? It was so beautiful! Great job! Great trip and great share!
Thanks - that’s kind of you. 🙏🙏🙏 Yes I think the drone footage gives a different feel sometimes - although this Loch is so vast even that footage only shows about one quarter of the length. It’s a stunning place - and really very atmospheric - especially at the far reaches where it is true wilderness. Thanks for watching - glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍👍
Brilliant video Dave. That looked magic on the big telly with the drone over Loch Morar. Stunning 😍👌😎👍 Never heard of Morag but love abit of history and old folk tales. Crazy that there has been recent sightings. Your a great storyteller in your videos bud. 👍
Cheers Kev. When I was a kid, I heard the stories. Loch Ness was quite big news as kids back then, hence the hordes of tourists now. And the Morag story never caught on, maybe because it’s more remote and inaccessible. It’s so close to the Sea that maybe Seals or Basking Sharks or something made it up the river somehow.?? Stranger things have happened. But halfway down the Loch sitting on your own as the mists and cloud roll in is a brilliant experience. I must admit, I did look over my shoulder a couple of times 😃😃
This place is stunning. Never heard of it or it’s legend. And so many sighting and some not that long ago. Surely no all can be wrong 🤔 really really wonderful Video, loved it. Going to watch it again. ❤️
What a beautiful introduction with all the facts you can read about the loch with the sounds of the waves. That's a lot of slate steps, but what a beautiful view at the cross. Half human and half fish- what a legend. Wouldn't it have been so cool if ya'll had seen her. The area is just gorgeous. Love the waterfall. The river is incredible. It couldn't be bluer if it tried. WOW! What an account of the gentlemen in the boat. Loved the music, very fitting. Quite the timelapse. I think there is something there for sure, but what.
Do you know what DeAnna, I’ve never believed in the Loch Ness monster at all. Too many people around and on the Loch there. But Loch Morar, hmm - it’s very remote at the Eastern end - a vast body of water but with direct access to the Sea. And animals make navigational errors all the time - whales, sharks. Dolphins, porpoises, who knows. But the locals know they saw something which can’t be explained easily and especially the Loch Superintendent- who was an arch sceptic but who can’t explain what he saw just three years ago. They don’t want tourists around there like at Loch Ness so it’s strange you get these reports. But who knows, all I know, that sitting by the side of the Loch in the mists and rain was really atmospheric and a tad unnerving too 😃😃 Hope you guys are well 👍🙏🙏
Dave, man I found this video intriguing and it was quite captivating. Brilliant work my friend, this fascinated the heck out of me, and you have me wanting to learn more about this place and it’s legend. As for the creatures existence, it is my professional opinion as a wildlife biologist that nature will always teach us how much we just don’t know. In the vast realm of science and our earth and natures complexities we’ve merely scratch the surface. Any scientist that will tell you otherwise, is full of it. Nature teaches us new lessons daily. I actually watched video earlier on my television and just now I’m getting around to commenting using my iPhone. I plan on researching this Loch and it’s nature. Have a wonderful week my friend and stay safe. Blessings to you and yours. George Silver Hawk
Hiya George and thanks for your kind comments Yes it’s a special place - we’ve visited Scotland many times but never been to this area. I think I was drawn here by my childhood memories of a monster - when I was a kid we heard the stories and I was so interested. Not many people seem to know of the legends - Loch Ness was the place for “monsters”, and it’s tourist industry now draws hundreds of thousands each year. But Morar is off the beaten track. And the Loch just has a track along one side for about a mile of its 10 mile length. And it’s the deepest water anywhere in the UK including the coastal waters - apart from one part of the Sea off Skye. So I believe it’s very possible that there are, or have been, animals or large fish in the Loch. It’s connected to the Sea by a very short river - and although there is a small dam regulating the flow, there are fish ladders and spillways to the river. Why not Porpoises, Seals or Dolphins misnavigation? We have just had a Beluga Whale in the River Seine near Paris. That was spotted because it’s a highly populated area. But Loch Morar is a wilderness. The latest theories are that Sturgeon live in the Loch - the European Sea Sturgeon can live up to 100 years old and to a length of 20 feet. But they are a critically endangered species and surveys have found nothing yet. So it really is a mystery George - all I know is that the Loch is a special place - and at the Eastern end really really atmospheric. I would so love for there to be a discovery someday. Have a great week ahead my friend 👍👍👍
It really does mate. Vast water near the Sea with river access Maybe Seals or porpoises following a fish source I just found it much more believable than Loch Ness
What a production ! Starting off with fascinating historical tidbits, I was ready for the journey. Going up those steps and then the scare...Good thing I wasn't holding my cup of hot cocoa ! Then the magnificent views of Loch Morar really takes ones breath away & feeds the imagination. The description of Morag really was alluring and I would have loved to be able to read the eyewitness accounts of her sightings. The account by William Simpson was so vividly described and I could just see the happenings...I believe in the Florida Bigfoot (Skunk Ape ) so I truly believe there are sea creatures mankind has not yet discovered. Thought-provoking comments at the end. I'm with the accounts from the locals...The filming, editing, story-telling and majestic music all combined to make an award-winning video. You guys really reached the end of the universe with this stellar achievement !! LOVED IT !!!
Thankyou - you’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏. Sorry about the scare - walking up those steps felt like there was something there, so I thought I would add that. 😃😃 All I can say is that it’s a really evocative place. I don’t believe in Nessie but Loch Morar is so much more remote and wild than Loch Ness. It also has that very short direct link to the Sea. We just had reports of a Beluga Whale in the River Seine near Paris so why not a Sea Creature (or creatures) in Loch Morar, even for a few hours? All I know is that we walked nearly to the end of the Loch which is literally miles from anywhere with huge mountains surrounding it. And, as the mists and cloud and rain rolled in, we both felt a desire to leave and get back. And looked over our shoulder a couple of times too!!😨😨😃😃. It is such a beautiful place!! Hope you’re well and thanks again for your kind words 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Oh BOY, I can just imagine you both looking over your shoulders as the eerie weather moved in. How storms can fuel the imagination...or provide excellent cover for strange creatures.... Loved & appreciate all the information here. Absolutely fascinating !! Your videos are truly expertly crafted productions, a testament to a whole lot of thought, creativity and hard work. It is certainly not unnoticed !! Thank you both for everything you do... And I didn't mind getting the snot scared out of me on those climbing steps....😂
Thank you so much for sharing your journey and experiences with us. It is truly inspiring to watch you grow and deal with all the circumstances life throws at us. Myself, I have been struggling for a long time with stress and I find myself coming back to your videos as they help me find a more peaceful state of mind. Thank you again, and wishing you all the best.
Thanks very much. 🙏🙏🙏. Me too, I’ve never believed in Nessie but this one has me a bit on the fence really. The Loch is so close to the Sea - 250 yards long river so anything could have worked it’s way into the Loch by mistake even for a few hours. But all I know is that it’s a stunningly beautiful place and very atmospheric at the far end where it is complete wilderness!! Glad you enjoyed the footage 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Ooh this was compelling viewing guys! Caught up on your Scottish adventure last night on the telly. Some moody skies at the beginning. Was great to see how different the loch looks in the sunshine 🌞. Hmm Morag certainly is a mystery!! While the story of the sea monster is far more pleasing, we reckon it has to be a large seal colony or maybe even a whale come in from the sea? Would be very strange for them to be in fresh water though🤔. Maybe it is best morag remains a mystery!😁👍. Really well put together video guys, throughly enjoyed watching. Happy Friday and we hope you have a great weekend, Shell and Pete
Hiya guys Totally agree with you. The Sea is literally a quarter of a mile from the Loch and there are always stories of seals and whales navigating into trouble. One in the Seine only this week. But whatever the truth is, Loch Morar is an amazing place. The Eastern end is so remote - a true wilderness, and sitting there on the shore as the mists and rain roll in can play tricks with your mind I honestly looked over my shoulder a couple of times 😃😃😨😨 Hope you guys are doing well and staying as cool as possible in this crazy weather
Well that was atmospheric and interesting Dave, with some lovely drone footage over the lake. My motto is don’t go in the water, you never know what’s lurking 👀 about. Have a great week Dave, all the best Ivor.
Ha you’re right Ivor. A good policy I must as not when we there a couple of times in poor weather, it’s a very atmospheric place. And being so vast and so close to the sea, with direct access, who knows what could be or has been there. And the Loch Superintendent’s sighting in 2019 is a really interesting one - he was an arch sceptic It’s a great mystery - loved it up there.
Stunning Views !! ☀️I liked it a lot and watched all of them !! Thank you for sharing this, this is really good awesome watching 🎉May you always be Lucky and everything will be great 🌸 I was glad and really loved watching it , there was never a time my attention was out of it. keep in touch 🌻 May God bless you with great success 🌸thank you for sharing 😊 SUPER LIKE 🌼 STAY CONNECTED 🌹 🇨🇦🌹🙂
Fact not fiction. Each year we "discover" new spices of animals/insects, so why not. All those people are not making stories up and being ridiculed for doing so. Exceptional footage of beautiful area. Funny how the Highlands and North Wales in the mist, the sun just seems out of place. Great video.
It really is a wonderful place, a vast body of water with direct access to the sea. I was a bit sceptical but seeing what the Loch Superintendent had said in 2019 made me really interested - he couldn’t explain it and why would he lie? It’s a mystery and one that is not really told compared to Loch Ness as it’s so remote. Glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍👍
@@NBNatureTrailvan It is a great story and very well told in the video. There is so much unexplained stuff and we came dream and maybe it is just true. Never been to this Loch, but it sure is beautiful, some of your footage could be used as promotional video for the area, very impressed.
@@onecameraoneguy.7353 wow thanks 🙏. I did find it an amazing place Sat by the Loch for quite a while as the mists and rain rolled in and it became quite eerie really. I don’t normally get nervous anywhere but that place is so vast and relatively unexplored Thanks again you’re very kind 👍👍👍
Thankyou. It’s a really stunning place We loved it there, especially when the mists and rain rolled across the lake - very atmospheric. Glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍👍
Hi and welcome 🙋♂️ Thanks so much for your kind comment 🙏🙏🙏. It’s an amazing place - so atmospheric and glad you enjoyed it 👍👍👍 Loved it there! Hope you’re well, thanks again and hope you’re having a good week 👍👍
So the Loch Ness Monster is real!!! That’s awesome! I thought there was one over here in a lake but it turns out it might’ve been a beaver or an otter. I would be terrified to see the Loch Ness though if it was that huge! I would run for the hills! What a beautiful area though! Great video Dave!!
Ha thanks Gracie. No I don’t believe in the Loch Ness monster 😃😃😃. But I tell you what. I don’t see why there isn’t a large fish (like Sturgeons?) in Loch Morar - that’s maybe what has been seen. It’s so vast that it’s possible I think as it’s so close to the sea with a very short outflow from the Loch So you never know 😀🐍🦖
Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏 Yes it’s an amazing story really - but overall the Loch is magical and mysterious and so very remote too. Glad you enjoyed this one and thanks for watching. You’re very kind
That was full of suspense story. Its a myth and because locals heard the story of long ago, then its engraved in their minds already. You take those videos beautifully at the right time that the story seems come alive. Wonderful adventuring in the mind too.
Thanks Cupcake I have to admit that Loch Morar plays with the mind. Especially when you are sitting alone on the shore, miles from anywhere with the mists and clouds rolling in. When I was a child, I heard the stories and they always seemed much more believable than Loch Ness. Anyway, I looked over my shoulder a couple of times when I was there 😬 So glad that you enjoyed watching this one 👍👍👍
Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏 That is a really special place. We loved it there and the mists and rain make it one of my favourite places. Hope you’re well and that you’re having a great weekend 👍👍👍
Splendid views at the cross and then marvelous rich blue and green scenery and an interesting fishing story of 1969. Could the locals witness an aquatic animal? Thank you for the awesome adventure. 👌 Big Like
Hi and thanks for watching 🙏🙏. Well, no one knows for sure at the moment - it’s a real mystery. I think that there may be seals or Basking Sharks or Porpoises maybe that swim up the very short river into the loch. But they have to get up the incredibly strong current which I show on the video. So it’s impossible at the moment to say whether the legends are true. But it is a very beautiful place - and a real wilderness. The only houses are near the outflow river - the rest of the 10 miles of the deepest water in the UK are wild and uninhabited. Special place Thanks again and hope you had a great weekend 👍👍👍
Hello Dave 👋 !! Thanks for this very good, atmospheric episode 😃👍. What do I think? I think I should head north and have a look for myself ⛰ 🌊🌊🌊🌊 👀 😵💫. I like how you have captured so many moods of the landscape and waters ✅. Thanks again, cheers, Don 🙋♂️ !
Cheers Don. You’re very kind Loved it there - sitting by the Loch with no one for miles as the clouds and the rain rolled in was amazing! I must admit, I did look over my shoulder a couple of times 😃😃 It’s a stunning place. And pretty inaccessible at the Eastern end so who knows!!! Hope you’re well mate and glad you enjoyed this one We thought Morar was a stunning area.
Thankyou Jasmin Maria. You’re always very kind It’s a remote and beautiful place - very atmospheric especially when in the mist and rain Loved it there
Hi Dave! I loved reading all the accounts of Morag. It's too bad this loch is eclipsed by other ones, but maybe that's also a good thing to have space to explore. Loved the timelapse towards the end - it should have popped in to say hi! 😀🦕
It’s really remote at the Eastern end Donna. True wilderness country and the whole area isn’t very easy to get to. Loch Ness is a tourist hotspot but there are not many people ever visit Loch Morar. I sat on my own at the East end with the rain and wind and mist and cloud coming in and you can feel the atmosphere - you can really feel it. Special place. I’m on the fence about what is there or has been there but a lot of local folk have seen something and they don’t particularly want it publicised. So close to the Sea with just 250 yards of river connecting it. I reckon could be something like Seals or Porpoises coming in and out. But who knows It’s a real mystery. 😃😃
Wild places rugged like that are so special! I enjoy learning about different stories of old from different cultures especially the UK. Scotland in particular! 🏴 Morag may be a type of a fae in my humble theory.
Hi Sierra Yes, that’s one theory - all I know that it is a very atmospheric place Not a dark place, but somewhere where you always think someone is around when there’s no one for miles. I did love it there, although I must admit to looking over my shoulder a couple of times whilst sitting alone on the shores. Evocative of the past…..
Wild indeed! The tale of Morag of Morar, she should like a beautiful yet formidable deity 😊 What amazing views away up there of the Loch, simply stunning 😍 So vast and deep in scale, a wonderous sight indeed... Loving all the islands too. Great stuff guys 😃
Would love to spot a sea/Lochi monster, amazing and we love all the old folk tales that go with them, river monsters is in of our favourite shows....if a smidge dramatic 😀
😃😃. Yes know that one It’s so interesting- I did a bit of research on this and there are a lot of sober and sane locals who say they have seen something. I’m thinking seals, Basking Sharks maybe. But it’s fresh water so why would they be there? A real mystery
I'd file that as a x-file. I'm always skeptical about these tales thinking they're just used to drum up tourism. Great waterfall, loved the drone footage and loved the background music along with the telling of the myth/legend 👍👍
Cheers Paul. Could be right, but there’s no real tourist access there, not like Loch Ness. it’s just a vast body of water but who knows. I do know that sitting by the Loch miles away from anyone, in the mists and rain was a stunner. Special place there mate.
Do you know what Des, that’s a good call. It’s just a massive Loch and deeper than most of the Sea around the British Isles with just a 300 yard river connecting it to the Sea. We just had a Beluga whale in the Seine so don’t see why something hasn’t made it up the river (somehow past the small dam and fish ladder). What ever it is, I think there has been something there at some point - don’t believe in Nessie at all but Morar is a completely different place. It is so remote at the Eastern end too, a road goes 1.5 miles in and that’s it. Just a path to half way down I must admit we sat at the end of the path one afternoon as the mists and rain rolled in, no one for miles and you just can’t help looking over your shoulder on the away back😃😃😬😬
@@DesGreene why not Des - their lifespan is 50-60 years apparently And can be up to 100 It literally is a vast body of water - as is Loch Ness. But Ness has been studied so much and even they may have missed Sturgeon. It will probably never be solved but it’s a stunning place. Would love to revisit sometime
Thankyou so much. You’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed this one - it’s a very special place - the scenery is amazing and the atmosphere of the place is awe inspiring. Loved it there Hope you’re well and that you having a good week. And thanks again 🙏🙏🙏
Did you have a swim there ? The area is somptuous. And, all I can say is that we can"t know everything. 😊 But, OMG, all I know is the absolute beauty of this place ...The Music of Serge is Divine too 💛💛💛
🙏🙏🙏Thankyou. No we didn’t swim actually - in the Sea yes, but not in the Loch. Maybe the stories impacted on us 😃 It’s is an absolutely stunning place - the beaches are white sands, the sea an azure blue, the mountains high and the Lochs deep. I did hike a few miles towards the end of the Loch (there is no other access), and sat for a while just thinking. After a while, the mists and rain started coming in and I will be honest, on the way back I did look over my shoulder a couple of times! 😃. It’s a really mysterious place in the mist.
12:02 I think it's good for tourism lol. Personally I love the eerie Old World vibe of ruins and historical landmarks but when it comes to fish stories...I wasn't born yesterday.
😀. The funny thing is there is very little around there to signify the stories. Loch Ness is all tourist tat but Morar has nothing and no one visits. And the river to the sea is only 100 yards long - maybe in the past there was something? We’ll never know for sure Thanks for watching 🙏🙏👍👍👍
I don't know what to think on if it is real or myth. If it is real then I hope it remains hidden or man will kill it or exploit it. Loved the video Dave I thought you did a splendid job. The drone footage was great. Have a great weekend my friend.
Cheers Duane. Loved it there especially when the weather was bad. Something about the place - I don’t think I would like to wild camp along there 😃 - it’s really remote and has some sort of atmosphere. Vast body of water, with direct access to the Sea. So who knows, maybe sea animals who have made a navigational error - happens all the time. And the locals don’t want tourists like Loch Ness. It’s completely unspoilt. Anyway, waffling as usual. Hope you’re having a good weekend mate.
Well, I love the story of this area and I love the magical aspect of it all. If it exist, it has the most beautiful lake to live in. The waterfalls are gorgeous. 😊
Oh Sandra, you would love it there. It’s just so unspoilt and peaceful. But I must admit, it has an atmosphere about it especially in the mist and rain, when you’re on your own just sitting and watching and listening. A special place Thanks for watching, and glad you enjoyed it.
Been looking forward to this and Vincent Price saved me a seat!! Popcorn is ready, lets go!! To begin with Dave and Sue, so happy you went on the road less traveled. I have heard of Nessie as a boy, but never of Morag, so thank you for the introduction. The Loch is stunning and the purple flowers for the high point are beautiful. Nicely done Dave and Sue. The legend of this half lady half fish is really intriguing. Your time there had to have been magical. Do I believe or not, well I’m a skeptic so for me seeing is believing. But I have no right to discredit those who claim they have. Think back to the ancient legends told by those who ventured out into the ocean and claimed to see huge monsters, monsters that turned out to be whales. In legends and folklore there always seems to be some truth to it. So Dave and Sue, I’m on the fence!! Too bad you didn’t capture her with the drone
😃😃 I’m on the fence too But I have to say that the sighting of something three years ago on a mirror still lake was very believable. The Superintendent was an arch sceptic - but he can’t explain what he saw. It’s a vast body of water with direct access to the Sea - so who knows if a Basking Shark or Porpoises or something like that makes navigational errors - happens all the time. So like you, I’m on the fence - don’t believe any of the tales on Loch Ness, never have - but Morar is different it feels. All I know, is that when I was sitting by the Loch on my own, with no one for miles around, as the mist and rain rolls in, it was probably the most atmospheric place I’ve ever been. Anywhere Can’t explain it mate - just that feeling you get. Thanks for watching - hope the popcorn was good 😃😃 and also that you two are having a brilliant weekend.

@@NBNatureTrailvan Its along the same lines as Bigfoot in north America. Countless stories and countless sightings going back centuries. Believe or not, when you're in the deep dark forest, the legend plays on your mind a bit. So glad you shared this Dave, and the dialog it generated.
Ah it’s great. Such a stunning place. A vast body of Water but very close to the Sea. And very atmospheric when the mist and rain comes down - really exceptionally evocative of something we don’t understand. Glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍👍. Hope you’re having a great weekend

Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏. You’re very kind.
Yes, it could still be true that there is a creature or creatures in the Loch. maybe from the Sea which is so close and linked by a very short river.
But we will probably never know.
It’s a beautiful and mysterious place.

I absolutely love the drone footage at 7:50... the blue is just magical! I really enjoyed your hunt for Morag... what a fascinating tale!

This is a very well put together video. Love the stories and history. Fascinating stuff. Have a great day!
Thanks Wade
It’s an amazing story. I was sceptical until I heard about the Loch Superintendent
He’s a bit embarrassed I think - but just can’t explain what he witnessed three years ago.
😍😍💕
Thanks Dave.
Well all I can say is that the place is very atmospheric and beautiful.
Sitting by the Loch on my own in the mist and rain was very special. It’s a vast space and there’s never anyone there. No access to the Eastern end at all.
So the sightings are strange to say the least - especially the Loch Superintendent who can’t explain what he saw three years ago. And he was an arch sceptic.
Maybe it’s animals like Porpoises making navigational errors up the river
But we will probably never know what’s been seen.
Anyway, a special place - thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it 👍👍👍👍

Cheers Graeme. Loved it there - what a place it is - so remote along the Loch and so so beautiful.
@@JenniferLupine thanks Jen - yes it’s all very strange and I don’t think I would go out in a boat 😃😃😃

👍💕❤
But who knows, all I know, that sitting by the side of the Loch in the mists and rain was really atmospheric and a tad unnerving too 😃😃
Hope you guys are well 👍🙏🙏

Hiya George and thanks for your kind comments
Yes it’s a special place - we’ve visited Scotland many times but never been to this area.
Wonderful...certainly gets you thinking about what could be out there
It really does mate. Vast water near the Sea with river access
Maybe Seals or porpoises following a fish source
I just found it much more believable than Loch Ness
All I can say is that it’s a really evocative place.

Hiya guys
Totally agree with you. The Sea is literally a quarter of a mile from the Loch and there are always stories of seals and whales navigating into trouble. One in the Seine only this week.
But whatever the truth is, Loch Morar is an amazing place.
The Eastern end is so remote - a true wilderness, and sitting there on the shore as the mists and rain roll in can play tricks with your mind
I honestly looked over my shoulder a couple of times 😃😃😨😨

I must as not when we there a couple of times in poor weather, it’s a very atmospheric place. And being so vast and so close to the sea, with direct access, who knows what could be or has been there.
And the Loch Superintendent’s sighting in 2019 is a really interesting one - he was an arch sceptic
It’s a great mystery - loved it up there.
Stunning Views !! ☀️I liked it a lot and watched all of them !! AMAZING thanks for sharing my dear
🌹❤❤🌹
Thankyou. You’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏
Fact not fiction. Each year we "discover" new spices of animals/insects, so why not. All those people are not making stories up and being ridiculed for doing so. Exceptional footage of beautiful area. Funny how the Highlands and North Wales in the mist, the sun just seems out of place. Great video.
🥰❤🥰
I did find it an amazing place
Sat by the Loch for quite a while as the mists and rain rolled in and it became quite eerie really.
I don’t normally get nervous anywhere but that place is so vast and relatively unexplored
Thanks again you’re very kind 👍👍👍
It was a vast lake surrounded by mountains. It's a very beautiful place, friends, continue to travel, full support.
Thankyou. It’s a really stunning place
We loved it there, especially when the mists and rain rolled across the lake - very atmospheric.
Glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍👍
Great video, thanks for sharing

thanks for your patience, you are an amazing friend

Nice video my friend. Wow.. This is a very wonderful upload. Keep on posting buddy. New friend here
Hi and welcome 🙋♂️
Thanks so much for your kind comment 🙏🙏🙏. It’s an amazing place - so atmospheric and glad you enjoyed it 👍👍👍
Loved it there!
It’s so vast that it’s possible I think as it’s so close to the sea with a very short outflow from the Loch
So you never know 😀🐍🦖
Nice place and beautiful story 👍
Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏
Yes it’s an amazing story really - but overall the Loch is magical and mysterious and so very remote too.
Thanks Cupcake
I have to admit that Loch Morar plays with the mind.
Especially when you are sitting alone on the shore, miles from anywhere with the mists and clouds rolling in.
When I was a child, I heard the stories and they always seemed much more believable than Loch Ness.
Anyway, I looked over my shoulder a couple of times when I was there 😬
So glad that you enjoyed watching this one 👍👍👍
多麼美麗的獨步旅行,湖上的景色和美麗的瀑布令人驚嘆,看見了一個充滿愛的十字架和優美風景♥🌷💚🈵👍😊
Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏
That is a really special place. We loved it there and the mists and rain make it one of my favourite places.
Hope you’re well and that you’re having a great weekend 👍👍👍
Great share video 👍 thanks 🙏
Thankyou so much. Very kind of you 🙏🙏👍👍
Great nature exploration. Love the video
Cheers from qatar
🥰♥️♥️
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it - it’s a stunning place - so very atmospheric.
Hope you’re having a great weekend 👍👍👍
Have a beautiful weekend my friend 🤗
👍🥰🥰❤
Thanks very much. You too 👍👍🙏🙏
Splendid views at the cross and then marvelous rich blue and green scenery and an interesting fishing story of 1969.
The only houses are near the outflow river - the rest of the 10 miles of the deepest water in the UK are wild and
uninhabited.
Special place
Thanks again and hope you had a great weekend 👍👍👍
Hello Dave 👋 !! Thanks for this very good, atmospheric episode 😃👍. What do I think? I think I should head north and have a look for myself ⛰ 🌊🌊🌊🌊 👀 😵💫. I like how you have captured so many moods of the landscape and waters ✅. Thanks again, cheers, Don 🙋♂️ !
Cheers Don. You’re very kind
Loved it there - sitting by the Loch with no one for miles as the clouds and the rain rolled in was amazing!
I must admit, I did look over my shoulder a couple of times 😃😃
It’s a stunning place. And pretty inaccessible at the Eastern end so who knows!!!
Hope you’re well mate and glad you enjoyed this one
We thought Morar was a stunning area.
great video
Thankyou. Glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍
Hello from Brazil. Wonderful video. Fantastic 🇧🇷☕
Thankyou Jasmin Maria. You’re always very kind
It’s a remote and beautiful place - very atmospheric especially when in the mist and rain
Loved it there
But who knows
It’s a real mystery. 😃😃
Very beautiful waves!
Thankyou. 🙏🙏🙏
*thanks for sharing* 😊👍❤
Thankyou - you’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏
Wild places rugged like that are so special!
I enjoy learning about different stories of old from different cultures especially the UK. Scotland in particular! 🏴
Morag may be a type of a fae in my humble theory.
Hi Sierra
Yes, that’s one theory - all I know that it is a very atmospheric place
Not a dark place, but somewhere where you always think someone is around when there’s no one for miles.
🥰👍👍🥰
Thanks Tamson.
It’s a special place.
Would love to spot a sea/Lochi monster, amazing and we love all the old folk tales that go with them, river monsters is in of our favourite shows....if a smidge dramatic 😀
😃😃. Yes know that one
It’s so interesting- I did a bit of research on this and there are a lot of sober and sane locals who say they have seen something.
I’m thinking seals, Basking Sharks maybe. But it’s fresh water so why would they be there?
A real mystery
❤❤❤
suara dan pemandangan pantainya sangat indah 👍❤
Thankyou. You’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏
very well-done video!
Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏. Glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍👍
Fabulous video 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much 🙏🙏🙏
It’s a great place.
Hope you guys are well 👍👍👍
I'd file that as a x-file. I'm always skeptical about these tales thinking they're just used to drum up tourism. Great waterfall, loved the drone footage and loved the background music along with the telling of the myth/legend 👍👍
🥰👍👍👌
Cheers Paul.
Could be right, but there’s no real tourist access there, not like Loch Ness. it’s just a vast body of water but who knows.
I do know that sitting by the Loch miles away from anyone, in the mists and rain was a stunner. Special place there mate.
I love the views around the loch.
Thankyou. 🙏🙏🙏. It’s a special place
Very atmospheric
Hi Dave. Stunning place and an interesting mystery! Could it possibly be a very large Sturgeon? I belive they are occasionally spotted in Scotland! 😉👍
Just a path to half way down
I must admit we sat at the end of the path one afternoon as the mists and rain rolled in, no one for miles and you just can’t help looking over your shoulder on the away back😃😃😬😬
@@NBNatureTrailvan Sounds a great place! I wonder if Sturgeon got isolated there, could they continue to breed and survive?
@@DesGreene why not Des - their lifespan is 50-60 years apparently
And can be up to 100
It literally is a vast body of water - as is Loch Ness. But Ness has been studied so much and even they may have missed Sturgeon.
It will probably never be solved but it’s a stunning place. Would love to revisit sometime
Vantastic great video
🥰❤🌹
Thankyou. You’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏
amazing content..♥♥. I enjoy watching it.... ♥♥

Thankyou so much. You’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏
I’m glad you enjoyed this one - it’s a very special place - the scenery is amazing and the atmosphere of the place is awe inspiring.
Loved it there
Hope you’re well and that you having a good week.
Maybe the stories impacted on us 😃
It’s is an absolutely stunning place - the beaches are white sands, the sea an azure blue, the mountains high and the Lochs deep.
I did hike a few miles towards the end of the Loch (there is no other access), and sat for a while just thinking. After a while, the mists and rain started coming in and I will be honest, on the way back I did look over my shoulder a couple of times! 😃. It’s a really mysterious place in the mist.
@@NBNatureTrailvan AH AH, I understand !!! I love the misty weather too. It gives something special in bonus 💚
Thú vị lắm bạn ơi cảm ơn chia sẻ video đẹp hay tuyệt vời cảm ơn
Thankyou that’s kind of you 🙏🙏🙏
It’s a stunning place
12:02 I think it's good for tourism lol. Personally I love the eerie Old World vibe of ruins and historical landmarks but when it comes to fish stories...I wasn't born yesterday.
😀. The funny thing is there is very little around there to signify the stories. Loch Ness is all tourist tat but Morar has nothing and no one visits. And the river to the sea is only 100 yards long - maybe in the past there was something? We’ll never know for sure
Thanks for watching 🙏🙏👍👍👍
I don't know what to think on if it is real or myth. If it is real then I hope it remains hidden or man will kill it or exploit it. Loved the video Dave I thought you did a splendid job. The drone footage was great. Have a great weekend my friend.
🥰❤🥰❤🌹
😍💕😍💕
Oh Sandra, you would love it there.
It’s just so unspoilt and peaceful. But I must admit, it has an atmosphere about it especially in the mist and rain, when you’re on your own just sitting and watching and listening.
A special place
Thanks for watching, and glad you enjoyed it.
🥰🥰
😃😃 I’m on the fence too
But I have to say that the sighting of something three years ago on a mirror still lake was very believable.
Anywhere
Can’t explain it mate - just that feeling you get.

I always wanted to go there also, looks really great😊
❤👍🌹♥️
Ah it’s great. Such a stunning place. A vast body of Water but very close to the Sea.
And very atmospheric when the mist and rain comes down - really exceptionally evocative of something we don’t understand.
Glad you enjoyed this one 👍👍👍. Hope you’re having a great weekend
