- Are you afraid of deep water?
-----------------------
*There's a wee error in the video!
The Inner Sound between Raasay & Applecross is 324m, so my "deepest water until St Kilda" is wrong!
I should've known that, seeing I know Applecross well 😬🫣
Anyway, maybe a submarine -dodging swim there next..?! Спорт
I am a very strong swimmer, I"m not necessarily afraid of drowning, but I do fear deep water.
Why?
@@Man-Made-of-woodcause its pitch black 😔
Glad I found this gem, came from reddit. Thalassophobia at it’s peak
That looks scary but at least Loch Morar has clear waters. Loch Ness is so dark and murky because of its high peat content
Yeah Mòrar is actually very clear!
@@caldamac cool! How far can you see underwater?
@@caldamac is it very deep in there ?
Good video. There’s something very intriguing about having so much fresh water below you. I bet it’s effing freezing though! Random fact- the bottom of the Loch is actually deeper than the uk’s continental shelf!
I think back to this video every few months, theres just something fascinating about it. Its on my bucket list to ride out from finland to norway and swim in one of the cold lakes surrounded by mountains, maybe the arctic ocean too
My heart would stop from fear if i was there.
Not a chance would I be treading water with over a thousand feet of the stuff below me....
New fear unlocked
Loch Ness monster staring at him:
👁️👄👁️
He is in loch morar dude .. Nessie is in Loch Ness . Loch Ness has way dark and colder water than loch morar.
My nightmare in reality, especially when you dipped the camera into the cold, dark abyss. I hate dark, deep water.
I went for a swim in there last year. It’s mad how it’s so shallow and then as soon as you go out a wee bit there’s this huge drop! It was so clear that day. Got eaten alive by clegs though . Great video! I for sure never went out that far !
So scary..my heart would stop from fear 4sure.
Great!! Greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!!👍
I haven't actually seen the loch but experienced the cold mouth of the river Morar at the silver Sands when air temp was 28c. The water was freezing.
The Shard is 310m tall so it would fit under water here😮
How could you be brave enough to not actually just be in the Loch, but calling out for the monster? How could you do that?
This man laughs at the face of fear. I have no other explanation. No way i am going in a black lake where i don't see 2 feet from me. Nope. NO. no. no. Nein.
I love deep cold water
How? What do you like about it? To me just thinking about it freaks me out so much. NOT SEEING what is in front of me. I have had some scares as a kid at the beach, so i got lowkey traumatize by stepping on animals that create a alergic reaction and you can't even walk till you get cortisol, hitting my feet at rocks, disgusting alguee. I can't handle what i cannot see. How do you even enjoy it at all?
dude NO! ahhh NOOO!
Crazy
And I thought Morlich and Insh were deep lol...
No thanks. There are giant eels right there
Screw that 😖
Danger Morag live in this lake
They only eat fish. One attacked a speedboat August 1969 after the boat rammed it. The 2 fishermen retaliated with a boat oar and a shotgun blast to the flank. They got a good look at it. It looked like a 30-40 foot long neck big elephant-like body very close to a giant Moray Eel. It was brown and black. Google a image of a pliesiosaur. That's what they look like. Not scary (yeah right) 😅
@@ChrisJones-jm9dzWow.Probably some giant eel
Thalassaphobes, for context, the difference tower would fit in this bad boy.
Three fidty lol
I thought loch ness was the deepest?
No, Loch Mòrar has the deepest point.
On average, I'm not sure which is deeper. Loch Ness contains more water though.
loch ness is the largest by volume, loch lomond is the largest by area and loch morar is the deepest, i nearly camped here to paddleboard it, but ended up staying on the rivers silver sands instead.. glad i didn’t paddle the loch after all now 😂
