- Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and largest national park in Croatia. This place is beyond beautiful! Also an UNESCO World Heritage Site, the national park has about 16 lakes that are connected via countless cascading waterfalls of all different sizes and shapes. Follow along our adventures as we explore the lower and upper lakes of Croatia's most beautiful national park, possibly the most beautiful in Europe even! I went up an old path near the big waterfall when I was there in 2008 and saw a nice top down view from up close. Although it is pretty old, not maintained and grown in a bit. So you have to really take note of it, but it is there and at the time was usable. A steep climb though.
Oh yes, I remember seeing that pathway but when we were there I think it was closed off.

Hi! Best vid I have seen so far of Plitvice! Thank you for this. Question though, how far a walk is the boat ride from the entrance?
Hi! Aww thank you so much! That means a lot! 😊 From Entrance 1, I would allocate about an hour to get to the boat ride area. Depends on how many times you stop for photos and such. We stopped a lot lol. We also visited Veliki Slap (the biggest waterfall) first.

It is possible .You have to wake up very early🙂You have to be in the park at 7-8 o clock(there are no crowds)
