I have Great Dane pups. This is her second litter. I did not grind the kibble but soaked it in water for a couple of hours. Then added the warm milk to make it soupy. I continued this adding less and less milk. It was easy to mush with a fork and there were no chunks.
invest in a siv/strainer to quickly remove the bigger food 'chunks' after milling it & for goodness sake mix the dry food powder and milk in a bowl first!!! LOl

She is like my dog with the affection. My dog is what I call a LabSkimo (American Eskimo Black Lab Mix) I recently got a pure white male Pomski with blue eyes. I bread these 2 dogs and she had 11 in the liter. 7 Pure whites and 4 Blacks. My dog is all Black 30 pounds normally. She is being such a good mother. Puppies are 9 days told today. So, I am just watching to learn more about puppies. Thanks for the video.
How often should I feed 3 and a half week old puppies???? I’ve searched for it but it doesn’t really give me an answer, it sometimes says 6 hours some times 3 sometimes 4 hours??? Also if a puppy is constipated can I start to wean him? Should I give him a drop of olive oil? Also if a puppy had pneumonia can I put him back with the litter after 2 weeks of giving medicine(clavamox)? Also it ultra 24 milk replacer mixed with a little bit of victor high pro plus and a little dyne good for starting to wean pups? I would really appreciate some answers!!!

Use a food strainer with small Slots/holes to strain your Blended Kibble... saves you time and effort Picking Out the larger pieces.

I thought I was ready for it, but your videos let me know just how ready I wasn't lol I really appreciate your content, my litter was Australian Cattle Dogs and I learned ALOT from you. Learned even more when those little suckers started being born. You helped me stay Calm and have at least some knowledge about the birthing process. I’d of soaked the kibble in warm boiled water and blend when it was soft, I prefer to not add the milk replacer as the food is a meal in itself and I feel it will make them mega thirsty and uncomfortable later.
At 3.5 weeks they aren’t good at lapping water if thirsty. Just a tip for your future pups if have any x. X x
I agree with most of this as a breeder of American bullies xxls to pockets and movingni to franchise and micro and exotic and merlesz but selling this XXL litter of correct gorillas first
Will moms teats go back to regular size after weaning and usually how long will it take.
Yes. (as you already found out). About two months. They will never be as tight as pre litter, but they get close. Even after 5 litters.
My mama dog does the same thing! I get in the whelping box with the pups to snuggle with them and she comes in and climbs in my lap and kisses my face the whole time lol. My pups are 3 weeks and 1 day old.
I have heard labs tear up stuff do they still destroy stuff even if you start training as soon as you get them? God Bless
Well labs like to chew up stuff witch means preety much anything so when you train them they will chew things up as they go prolly but some labs dont chew it up when untrain yhem and sometimes they do it depends on the puppy but if you get a lab that has training by u but still chews things up then get her a lot of interactive toys like kongs and just alot of stuff to chew ALOT so that ur answer
All dogs chew things until they are corrected.
Chewing will be bad if you allow the puppy to get bored or anxious, they chew because it helps them feel calm and relaxed... plenty of play time and chewy treats to keep them occupied and away from things they shouldn’t chew. My lab hasn’t chewed any furniture... yet! Thank god. He’s 1 and a half now and the happiest part of my day
Yes as they attach to the parent more than most breeds due to their loving hearts......thus should be well expressed and done more....... should be with mom until 16 weeks....... (this breed just doesn't get the crop and dock the other 16 week Olds do, they need it for temperament, and time to say goodbye to mom as this breed needs this total separation and watching the mothet move on ...........and then within the litter and they are least likely to get littermate syndrome, and/or future dog aggression. #breedcorrectforthebreeditself

How long should the process take to move from mush to dry kibble? How old should they be when they eat dry food? Thank you!
i believe every week you should take away 25% of milk, when you are around 50% less milk then you should make the milk more watery then milky, at 75% less milk then you just replace the milk with water, let the kibble just soak in the water for 30 mins and feed it to them, if you start feeding them this at 4 weeks then by 8 weeks they would already be able to eat hard kibble!

This is good but hard to watch with my puppy mom hearing the whining of YOUR puppies and going into alert mode checking on them thinking that her puppies are whining. 😂 A lot of people complain about esbilac causing constipation. Thoughts...?
So we started giving the puppies milk replacer about 5 days ago b/c mom has mastitis. As of yesterday they are 4 weeks old and we introduced the mush twice today. They have diarrhea since the changes of milk replacer. My question is how often should I give them the mush a day now that they don’t drink milk from their mom?

Yes❤ I first put the kibble then added milk and the pups were like what the heck glad they didn’t eat it as they could have choked! This morning I did how you showed me and one was licking it so first time I am happy haha 😂 but I think I’m making too much I did half a cup for pups of 4 micro American bullies lol 🤦🏻♀️ I probably need a sprinkle 😂

Hey Kat! Where did you get that flying saucer pan for the puppies? My other question is what type of puppy food are you feeding? I’ve been looking for a high quality dog food for my gsps and chihuahuas but I find that some of the food makes them poop a lot! Just wondering if you have a preference that would help with that. Grain or grain free food?

When my lab mix had puppies i used water for their puppy mush and they did awesome with it and had no problems

How do you keep mom away from the litter pan (she will want to clean up after the pups even in the litter pan) where puppies are going potty while she is still nursing them when they begin to start relieving themselves on their own and start using the litter pan at 3wks old?

Why NOT cow's milk? I have abundant access to RAW Cow's Milk; is that okay? (I would never feed pasteurized milk, to humans or animals!)
Cow’s milk can be hard to digest and cause diarrhea and upset stomach in puppies.

They'll retrieve after the point, depending on how you train them will determine when they'll break to fetch the bird. You can train steady to wing, steady to shot, or steady to fall and you release them to fetch and retrieve.
