Dino was always my favorite drummer & stick spinner! I will miss him dearly. A very nice & humble guy. Dino I have to clean up my act so I can meet you in person someday in Heaven. I feel like I have lost a brother. RIP. Heaven just got a wonderful guy & one hell of a drummer.
Ya, Me too. Would not believe The show. The, Vagrants w/Leslie West opened . The Hassles w/ Billy Joel then The Vanilla Fudge . The 'Rascals ,headlined. Blew our minds totally
This reminds me of happy times in the 60s when my older brother was a hippie rock playing ear for great music. He would this year be 70. E everyone died after our mom in 1970, sis in 77, brother 81, other sis 88. Got one brother that got the hell out of California but the racals, and many more Classic Rock groups are enshrined in my heart and memory. I'll just keep Groovin', since How can I be sure, when that Ray of Hope will hit me so everyday when I wake up it's a beautiful Morning...thank you Young Rascals for giving the little girl great times and now this old lady great memories.
I saw them twice in the 60's and they were great. And being a drummer, always like Dino, and still make the eight-count break in the middle every time I hear this song. RIP.
This has brought tears to my eyes both for the great song, for the memories of being alive in my prime when they were in theirs, for seeing them looking so much older.....how the fuck did we get this old anyway...........and for the joy of being still alive to hear them, still alive too, singing it as good as ever. Man...life is wonderful and you have to live it and be glad for it....that the message that these wonderful people were always singing about and that hasn't changed one bit--Be Free and Love Good, we are all the same people.
Sound great. Real talent never fades. A criminally under appreciated band and some of the finest blue eyed soul music of the 60s and 70s ever produced.
One of the best groups of the 60s and 70s . I love them and I love singing their songs at karaoke . They had so many great songs and they have stand the test of time. Thanks for sharing this video i remember seeing them on all the music shows when they use to show on TV. Loved them then and always will.🥰
God Bless You Steven Van Zandt for reuniting THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND in the world......I even like BRUCE better because of you and your good works.......
The first great band of my teen years. "I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore", "Good Lovin'" and "Mustang Sally" (one of the best cover songs ever). Gene on guitar, Eddie on vocals, Felix on the Hammond B3 and the first great rock & roll drummer Dino Danelli, may he rest in peace. I loved, and still love, every song they recorded.
If I read one more time he was the most underrated drummer I'm going to puke. Get an imagination people. He was a fine drummer but lets give it a rest.
The rascals are a quintessential part of the fabric of American music. Without them we would never know rock as we know it. Granted bands like deep purple and led Zeppelin showed us the way of hard rock. But at the end of the day those sweet sweet melodies, and hooks came from bands like the rascals.
Unreal were did the TIME go.!!!! seems like it was yesterday when I got their vinyl record and opening it up out of that plastic cover. paying $3.50 for it that was a lot for a 11 yr old kid the RASCALS. the band did it for me I was already listening to soul music which I really liked so much soul sounds MOTOWN WAS THERE. and when the RASCALS. put there version *of mustang Sally* *in the midnight hour* I was hooked on the band. never heard blue -eyed sound like that or any one play those songs like that.some 50 yrs plus I still play there MUSIC it's something from generation to generation we all have good memories it was different TIME . Back then as of these times it's like that song the RASCALS wrote ( carry me back) so True✌✌✌✌❤❤❤❤✌✌✌✌
King, you say it so well. We as people have done well, but we can do so much more. LISTEN People to the message of love....so much stronger than hate. Lord save Dino, Gene, Eddie, and Felix.
What a band. Wow!! Pity that after writing and singing ‘People Got To Be Free’ asking for people for peace and loving one another, they four of them couldn’t even get along!
Their greatest hits album "Time and Peace " simply blew our minds ! 8 track had just come out and my best friend and I spent 8 hours in line waiting at the "Audio Shop" getting an 8 track player to be installed. It was a great invention, pricey at $39.00 , but they ate 8 track tapes like a hungry pack of dogs. There is one of those in a box in my attic. Maybe they'll make a comeback ?
dbrew2u , That's because the bands now a days use Sym, and $3000.00 Mikes, no real voices like Aretha, Minnie, Al Green..now that's what u call singing & there's more great voices out there still, but from the GOOD TIMES....
Saw an interview with Felix a few years back and was asked about bass player. He said that on first album Gene played both guitar and bass in the studio. On the road for many years he played bass using his organ bass pedals. The good ole days......
Dino and Felix are legends! RIP to Dino Danelli. He died two days ago, on 12/15/22. Dino Danelli was 78 years old. 🥁
He was a childhood mentor..mimicked some of his mannerisms when I was first learning to play drums.
RIP Dino
I now realize, after many years, that the Rascals were the "heartbeat" of the 60s. Thank you fellas.
First concert I saw The Young Rascals 1967! Rock on Dino, thanx , master of the drum kit.
Ya, Me too. Would not believe The show. The, Vagrants w/Leslie West opened . The Hassles w/ Billy Joel then The Vanilla Fudge . The 'Rascals ,headlined. Blew our minds totally
Rest in Peace Dino.....when I hear the thunder from above, it'll be you!!!!!!
👍🔥
RIP Dino best drummer
Great band and the greatest rock drummer, Dino Danelli. RIP Dino.
Rest in Peace Dino Danelli 22/15/2022 78 years young. We will miss you so much Dino. Best drummer ever
Yes, indeed . Knew Him well.
@Dynastic Light l knew them in New York. Always cordial to fans. They were my Hamptons band!
Felix sounds great. Nice to have them back with us, thanks to Steve Van Zandt.
How the hell did I miss this! Oh, it was the Tony's. The most unappreciated soul band ever. Felix's voice is still on point. Thank you Steve!
RIP Dino The Great!
If you can't dance to the Rascals... you're dead! NJ Rocks!
Criminally underrated Eddie Brigatti and Gene Cornish have never lost a step, nor Dino a beat.

The Rascals are one of the most important influences in all of my musical "history." I love them!
The Rascals had real soul!
RIP, Dino Danelli. Too bad the camera wasn't on him more - he was incredible.
you can’t top the mighty Rascals!
This has brought tears to my eyes both for the great song, for the memories of being alive in my prime when they were in theirs, for seeing them looking so much older.....how the fuck did we get this old anyway...........and for the joy of being still alive to hear them, still alive too, singing it as good as ever. Dig it! I only wish they'd shown the band during their entire performance!
chaz hogue yes, and more close ups of Dino!
Absolutely! Wasted camera time (not) on the band and that cheesey bit in the middle. I swear, Rascals could never catch a break 😮
wow, they can still rock it out after all these years, really haven't missed a step, great song from my childhood.
God Bless You Steven Van Zandt for reuniting THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND in the world......I even like BRUCE better because of you and your good works.......

Im glad they put there differenves aside and rode out in the sunset together even if they all are still alive which I'm glad:)
Saw them perform the Once Upon a Dream show at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Even my wife was impressed. My favorite band of the 60s.
They didn't show enough of DINO!!!
He's an awesome drummer!
R.I.P.......Dino
The first great band of my teen years. "I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore", "Good Lovin'" and "Mustang Sally" (one of the best cover songs ever). Gene on guitar, Eddie on vocals, Felix on the Hammond B3 and the first great rock & roll drummer Dino Danelli, may he rest in peace.

One of a kind drummer and showman. Dino is the man.
If I read one more time he was the most underrated drummer I'm going to puke. Get an imagination people. He was a fine drummer but lets give it a rest.

Granted bands like deep purple and led Zeppelin showed us the way of hard rock. But at the end of the day those sweet sweet melodies, and hooks came from bands like the rascals.
Thank you thank you thank you for bringing this band to the stage and reaffirming that they were one of the best.😎

Great clip!!
Eddie dancin his heart out!
They never had a bass player. Saw them live many times in the sixties.Phenominal.
and they sound just as good now
Felix played base on the pedals of the Hammond.
They had a keyboard player apparently, you can get by without a bass player if you have a good keyboard, like the doors
I didn't think we were ever gonna get to see the Rascals in this video.
What a band. Wow!!
Pity that after writing and singing ‘People Got To Be Free’ asking for people for peace and loving one another, they four of them couldn’t even get along!
Let be happy and enjoy them thank you for posting
I am 68 and used all the music in my garage band. Miss those days.
Same here!
HUGE WOW. Thank you for the music.
Yes sir Dino
Their greatest hits album "Time and Peace " simply blew our minds ! 8 track had just come out

Eddie still moves the same, you can see time ain't changed his soulful strut onstage, neither did Gene Cornish.
Awesome !
R.I.P. Dino Danelli now im feeling old and sad!
Saw an interview with Felix a few years back and was asked about bass player. He said that on first album Gene played both guitar and bass in the studio. On the road for many years he played bass using his organ bass pedals. The good ole days......
As I commented above, how come Brigati never learned to play bass or rhythm guitar in order to pull his weight in the band!?
I slipped into a coma after watching this the first time five months ago. Auto replay!? What! Oh well, sweet dreams..
Dino 😘
