I was about 10 years old in March of 1968. It was Spring vacation and no school and I went outside on a bright, beautiful morning when I heard this song on the radio for the first time. I think of that peaceful day every time I hear this beautiful song. My sister went out and bought the single. It was the first stereo 45rpm I ever heard. I long for days like that again.
I was going through some hard times at the time with my parents nasty divorce but as soon as I heard that song on the radio it brought me right I'm out I'm I'm of my blue funk and made everything seem alright again.

On my last half-day in high school in 1969, while driving home with friends, "It's a Beautiful Morning" comes on the radio. Fifty-nine years later, I still carry that wonderful memory thanks to the Rascals.
I'm 25 yrs old and I just love how many old folks we have in the comment section and sharing their little experience in the past. It makes me feel like I wanna go back to the past with them.
I read a story about a guy who would play this song every morning on his radio on a firebase in Vietnam . It was on the Armed Forces Network playlist . A beautiful morning in Vietnam .
Never get tired of this song❤ am 77, sitting outside my school's (summer home), drinkin my coffee, thanking God for the birdsong, the chickens, the beautiful trees & flowers and my life. My kids grew up on good music ❤

The last 4 days, I've been in the hospital and it's been raining. I woke up this morning to the news I'm getting discharged and going home. The sun is shining and it really is a beautiful morning!
I’m happy you are here to enjoy this song now and all the good memories of those days . I’d imagine there were things you would prefer not to have memories of - we all do over time, even if we weren’t sent to a war. You made a good start with listening to this song and dancing. I love how I feel when I hear it and do a little dance and smile. ❤😊
@catherinemeza.....my heart breaks for warrenbarshe....he enjoyed the sounds of peace and well-being, but was told that he's fighting "communism"- (now called, "shopping at Walmart/all "communist china" goods). Like so many other young men ordered around and barked into obedience, he destroyed the peace and well-being of millions of poor people (Vietnamese). Napalm, carpet bombings, burning villages, rape, countless massacres (my lai was just one that had its cover story ripped apart) Don't call this "service", an obscene misnomer for what blood thirsty and greedy US military did to those people. @@catherinemeza9050

IMHO, Felix did get a lot of recognition for his voice and as an organ player, they did appear at Woodstock, where a lot of great bands were just emerging, and a whole lot of freeloaders spoiled the event for everyone.
