HIV and AIDS continue to be a major challenge for health authorities and communities alike. Support systems and treatment facilities for HIV and AIDS related conditions continue to be a topic of interest in both policy and community concerns. While there have been measurable progress in this health sector, there are also challenges in health infrastructure, treatment facilities, and the economics of people suffering from HIV/AIDS. In this edition of HornbillTV Unfiltered, health official Dr. Toghuka Yepthomi who is an HIV expert and also a treatment activist, and health activist Ketho Angami, the President of ARK foundation, Kohima discusses health infrastructure and facilities besides other issues related to HIV-AIDS.

Self acceptance will happen if we reduce the person's guilt n shame...the increased anxiety n mental stress reduces the person's ability to make the best decision. However if they see it as an illness without the feeling of guilt then they will test n take treatment. More psychosocial n mental health support is required.
