  • This is Florentina Climbing Rose in my garden 2nd season!
    Intense brilliant unfading red! Florentina has thick rich high gloss green foliage that is typical of Kordes bred roses, very healthy. The flowers are fully double, ruffled like an English rose and last a long time on the plant or when cut. This rose can get 8-12 feet and it’s already almost 6 feet in its 2nd season! Fragrance is light rose with hints of lemon.

    Wow... that is an unnatural beautiful rose, I can not imagine something else more beautiful at least to my point of view, she is perfect in all the ways, color, size, shape. I'm going to buy at least one.

    It’s beautiful! Do you have it in a sunny place in the garden or could do with partial shade ?

      @@JonathanFerraro-l9b Thank you.. It is in full sun in my garden. I think for most roses they do best in full sun. It’s a very prolific rose! no disease

      @@missprettyplants7217 thanks a lot for the reply . I got one recently and I had the doubt if to plant in my south facing back garden or front facing north as some roses do ok in partial shade but seeing this I’ll def plant her in the south facing wall . Thanks a lot , it’s stunning . 😍

    it looks like its planted on the shady side of your fence, how much direct sun does it get please

    • @missprettyplants7217

      It is planted on a west facing fence. I does get loads of sun thru the day from the south/east in the morning and more sun towards the afternoon. They seem to be happy :)

      @@missprettyplants7217 is it heat tolerant? I plant mine in a west facing spot and it receives sun from noon until 6PM and I notice the petals are crispy.

      @@sunnyside274 hello! mine is doing well with the heat.. I haven’t noticed any stress yet and this will be it’s 3rd season in my garden. I do have other things planted around it so maybe that helps a bit.

    I just bought a kiss me Kate! Would you say the flowers last as long on the stem as Florentina?

    • @missprettyplants7217
      @missprettyplants7217  Год назад

      Kiss me Kate is beautiful too! They do last a while but I find Florentina last a bit longer. Both are beautiful and great additions to the garden. Very disease resistant as well.

    Which zone are you in? I see it winter hardy on the heirloom rose website, not sure if its canes can really survive zone 6

      I’m in Zone 6 - sometimes it can also get colder than that .. so far i have had no cane dieback.
