Blame Mr. Resetti for not putting the lights up on that one cedar tree. It was proven in the movie that he puts up and takes down the lights on the trees. Anyways, have a merry Christmas (unlike mine which was ruined)!
For special characters to visit in the RV you have to have their amiibo figure, you can't do it with the card, and for special characters like Jingle that don't have a figure, you just have to wait until their RV appears randomly on the campsite :>

You have to use an Amiibo figure to scan in a Special Animal and see their RV. I'm not sure there is a figure for Jingle but it might happen by chance

The only special characters that you can force to show up in their RV are the Amiibo Figures, not any Amiibo Cards.
You only can visit RVs if the amiibo is a figure cards give you presents
Joshy the tree didnt light up because it had bells in it. It will most likely be lit the next day
Holiday characters only appear at the campground in months their holiday doesn't happen.
Jingle already visits the campground...

The Amiibo cards can't scan in special villagers. Only Amiibo figures can unfortunately

the old amiibo cards don't work. Only the new cards and the figures have RV's.
iBeFloe you cannot invite ANY characters to your campsite in an RV if they are not the new RV cards. No question about it.
If you Scan in the Omiibo cards they cannot visit your campsite they can only give you items like their picture and stuff.
