H didn't originally sing this, so this is his interpretation of it. And I must say that I don't mind it. Dio had to sing some of Ozzy's Black Sabbath songs. He didn't like it, but he did his best. Dio isn't Ozzy, just like H isn't Fish.
I really like this version it's more poignant more powerful both Howard and fish gave it its full credit I disagree with those who criticise Howard when he sings fish,,,'s songs
Great show, but the drummer is just boring. I heard midi files with more dynamics... I know the guy is some kind of all around generalist on the prog scene but still, prog rock commands virtuoso drummers with character. It's like going back to pre-Mosley drums in Marillion... just can't do that.
Can't believe I've disliked a Marillion video. Was listening to the original - just wonderful - then H butchered it here. No idea why they ever selected him - Easter apart - but his singing here is a criminal offence.
I love both versions of Marillion. But I'd hazard a guess that H sings these better at this point than Fish could and Fish could not sing half of what H sings.
With Steve Hogarth being in Marillion for decades and a wealthy song/album catalog to boot during his tenure, I don't get why he is still singing Fish-era material. True meaning of lyrics does not relate to Hogarth. As with songs from "Misplaced.." not his story.
Agreed. I love H as much as anyone but he bowled a wide with this performance. I always thought his attempts at Fish-era material were a tiny bit awkward but this is pretty bad.
Steve Rothery has one of the most clean, beautiful electric guitar tones there is 👍
Steve rothery is a genius his solo is so sublime so captivating it's a pity it didn't last longer
Both of them, Steve and Fish, are Originals. Exceptional voices. The Band, wow, Magic created by humans. 👍🏻😎🚀 Truly exceptional and one of a kind.
Thank you for posting this. This is from the first night, and is an awesome performance. Brings me right back to my seat in the theater!!
Rothery absolutely nails the solo on WWC but H is all over the place

H! Always performatic! Great interpretation!

Such a great band 🧡💖💟
I absolutely love both versions of Marillion but I still think this set belongs to fish that's my opinion
Ian Mosley - where are the china crashes in this song????? where are the brutal toms like in original?????????
Where is Ian Mosley..????
I miss Ian
SH's too manneristic for my taste - besides probably drunk here :D - but, I gotta hand it to him, his voice is great.
Rothery saved Christmas this time... And I miss Ian's gunshot in Central Park
I agree. Who is this Drummer, and where is Ian?
Drummer is Leon Parr. Ian was recovering from surgery and thus unable to perform.
What happend with Mosley?. It sounds different. In fact is another set drum. I think he wasn't in this cruise
Ma questo dove lo hanno raccattato.... Fish? 😪
Fish leaved,magic was gone.....
Rothery is a genius
It's been recorded on a cheap camcorder , it's going to sound rough.
Haven't followed Marillion in several years. Why is Rothery sitting down ? Where is Ian ?
He is obese
I don't know about this!?
It's not that bad.TTOTN sounds a lot better than WWC.
But it's simply not as good as the original.
Nenhum close no Rothery?
Is this guy trying to be drunker than Fish???
This is violation! H has no right to destroy these songs. And you can see how he hates singing these songs.
quem é esse batera, nao é o ian mosley?
Não, o Mosley passou por uma cirurgia dias antes do Cruise to the Edge. Esse é o Leon Parr, baterista da Steve Rothery band.

Joke comment!!!

Sorry horrible interpretation, long live the old fish...
he sounds like he's barely capable of singing., it's like a painful plodding ahead. gummy bear who lost its teeth. the band sounds excellent.
Disappointing!
is H pissed? Bloody awful performance. Time to call it a day I think.
He sux compared 2 🐠

Agreed
Great performance from Rothery but H is almost awful. seems to have missed all the gentleness in the song and turned into a tuneless rage.
***** got to the chorus at 2.37 and can't agree more. Couldn't listen anymore - shame
Agreed. I love H as much as anyone but he bowled a wide with this performance. I always thought his attempts at Fish-era material were a tiny bit awkward but this is pretty bad.
Hoghart 🤮
no way. this belongs to fish and to fish only. h has no point in it. just quit.
The best thing to happen to Marillion was Fish quitting...don't worry yourself
This is Fish's song.
@@RogerRam68 No. I can enjoy both Marillion and Fish. This is not a good performance. This is Fish's song.
No!!! It's Marillions song !!!!!!
Hogarth and the band all sound terrible!!! Hogarth is a great singer but he would be better off sticking to his material!!
Think the sound is more to do with what it is filmed on.
