- In this 10 things NCL Gem got right video, we share our favorite things about this ship.
We loved our time on the Norwegian Cruise Lines Gem. We took advantage of the Mandara Spa, the NCL Gem Thermal Suite, and the NCL Gem premium restaurants Le Bistro, La Cucina, Moderno, and Cagneys Steakhouse.
We loved our time on the NCL Gem with Norwegian Cruise Line. We did an 11 day cruise from New York City to Bermuda, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
On this cruise we had an inside cabin on the NCL Gem.

We just reserved Gem Boston to Quebec and this vid really sealed the deal for us. You got us out of indecision and into cruising! Our first cruise. We have an inside cabin on Deck 9.
Thank you for the review. My very first cruise (solo) was on the Gem and several things made it special for me that you pointed out. First, my Oceanview cabin was fantastic; surprisingly spacious and the bed was a dream. Second, my first dining experience was at Cagney's and it was worth spending the money. The seating on the aft section of the ship (by the buffet) had very comfortable seating and a wonderful view of the night sky. Most important, the crew was very helpful. The cabin steward was very helpful in resolving issues and pointing out nice things to do, the manager at Cagney's helped when there was an issue with my dinner, and there was a guide for solo cruisers who arranged meets and greets. I've had other wonderful cruises, but I always point to my first cruise on the Gem as my favorite.

So glad you enjoyed the Gem! We did a two day cruise to nowhere years ago on the Gem. And, going back in February for a quick weekend to Key West and The Bahamas. Can't wait!
We are on the Gem in May 2024, I was wondering when it comes to dessert do they have any sugar free options?
We love the Thermal Spa on the NCL ships. But like you, we can't find much info. Is the Thermal pool a decent size? Both husband and wife/partners? Does the Jade/Gem have the waterfall feature?
Does anyone know if you can purchase day passes to the thermal suite instead of purchasing a package for the entire length of the cruise?
