- Finally boarding the Norwegian Gem after waiting for two years! We were super excited to finally get on, and was not disappointed! In this video you can see the boarding process, around the ship and a full indoor cabin tour.

Sailing on the 21st on the gem, I went on it in 2012 too so I’m excited to see what it’s like now!
It's a shame that they didn't renovate staterooms on the NCL Gem.

Do you recall if people were allowed to decorate their cabin door? So you remember seeing any decorations on some people's doors?
Yes there were lots!

I see u had a train to the port. How long does that take and how much did it cost. We are staying in Venice and wondering the best way to get to Trieste port.
I can't remember the exact cost it was around £20, it was a great service and on time! I think it was around 2 hours, if you search on trainline it will give you an idea of the time/cost. Hope this helps!
Did you experience any motion sickness from your cabin location?
Not a lot, because the time of year we went it was windy season and very choppy and could feel it occasionally but from the cabin as it was on the inside you couldn’t feel it much at all xx
Do they let you bring an iron on board? The last cruise I went on recently I won’t mention what ship but they didn’t let us bring on. But I will be going on the gem next year July can’t wait
