I hear ya- ive been watching mk5 gti stuff because that is what i have lined up to buy BUT, i would absolutely LOVE to see some early, mid to late 80's(weird calling that early cause i grew up with those cars used and beating them all over my stomping grounds in late teens and into my 20's!!).. Oh how id love to build a sick mk2 with one of these newer motors(1.8t or 2.0t)!!!

Not sure if you’ve heard of the company but he has a 4x4 dyno and maps in different ways such as for a blended remap - think it’s for power, torque and also economy but most people just want more power. He’s just got an Audi A3 hybrid from 2006. It can do 450 miles on a single charge which I think is impressive! He’s going to get more power out of the motor

Launched my Mk5 GTI in the rain and the shaking of the engine caused that small plastic coolant adapter to crack. Still drove home 10km and didn’t overheat 😂
i recently bought an 8p a3 2.0 tfsi quattro, what sort of things shall I do modification and mechanically wise to improve it? i dont know that much about these engines

I contacted r tech last year sep/Oct about a replacment turbo as mine blew...they replied we do not fit turbos

does the engine need to be forged with the Venom 450?
If you want more reliability then yes forging is always best at this power level, we are aiming to push the stock block with this project.

No as long as you keep the torque levels below 440ft-lb, standard internals are good up until then
