Sound Exchange looked really cool 😎. Those reel to reel decks had me salivating. I’ve got the High Society soundtrack and you can’t go wrong with Cole Porter penned tunes.
A nice haul. I'm particularly fond of that 3 CD set of Star Trek music. I bought them individually back in the day, and spent a lot more than that. These are really good albums. I particularly love volume 2 which has the DOOMSDAY MACHINE theme, one of their finest, as well as the Kirk/Spock fight music from AMOK TIME.
I would not mind having that "The NIghtmare Before Christmas" record that I spied at 3:32 in the video. Friggan $49, but still. That Sound Exchange place looks awesome. Would love to just see the audio gear they have on sale there. Wonder if they have any vintage Klipsch speakers there. Of course, I would be trawling through the heavy metal section to see what treasures I could find there.
Bravo on the HIGH SOCIETY sound track! I have three Lps I purchased from Discogs that are waiting for me when I get home: Leonard Bernstein's WONDERFUL TOWN (1953 Original Cast), Sigmund Romberg's THE DESERT SONG (1956 Studio Cast), and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA (1979 Broadway Cast).
So I see you got a warped record? So did I, a few months back. I bought a Western-themed 50 Guitars of Tommy Garrett album. I didn't realize it was warped until I inspected it at home. It was pretty badly warped, but miraculously I was able to play it on my ceramic record player with almost no problem. It still sounded good.
when I go record hunting I always write the records that I have first then when I go to second hand record shops I look for records that I haven't got so in Australia we have a lot of second hand record stores and some op shops that have records I can pick up records from 0.50 Cents Australian coins to about $20.00 brand new Australian dollars what I look in records are big band music country music like Johnny Cash Easy listing music 70s 80s 90s and stage a movie sound tracks so that's what I'm into thank you for a great video
I think I might have that country bears album that you're looking for. Also Lakeland is my home town. Hit me up for potentially having it in your collection.
I was forced into listening to that Patsy Cline album as there is a guy that has it and must like it that works at the place that I go during the week.
hi there used t be a record shop in london town that used to have alot in all there shops the net killed alot of them they had a shop that had alot of reel to reel decks coming in not working great for us repair men note decks started ending up on ebay so the shop had a sell of all the gear got alot of betacam tapes from there ex studio gear shop there's alot of gear in lock up in ,london town
Robin Hood the original soundtrack is good but seems to have a double groove as sometime you get one version and sometimes you get a different version every time you play it.
