it was an absolute honor to do "in the eye of the storm" with a band whoms posters i had hung over my bed way back when i was 15 years old. absolute legends! See you at summer breeze!
oh and btw, the new songs are the best stuff you've done since alissa joined imo :)
Just saw Arch Enemy live in Poland...I've been to a lot of gigs in my short time on Earth, but that was one of the best live performances I've ever seen! Masters of their craft and Alissa really has brought a new dynamic to this band, especially on the new album!

I love to watch these interviews of the bands and they’re just calm and laid back . In the videos they’re heading banging away , But then just normal everyday people in the videos.

This album is by far the best release of the year.
First time I listened to Deceivers, I was blown away. The riffs, the drums, the melodic sound and last but not least the vocals from Alissa. I'm listening to AE every day.

It's always such a pleasure to listen to Alissa.
As someone who has only recently discovered Arch Enemy, what I find interesting, is that when I listened to the album a few days ago, the three songs that stood out to me, and that I played back a few times, are the singles they mentioned. The only single that I'd heard before the album was Handhshake with hell (The one that drew me to the album)_

Nice interview, Amott always humble in these interviews, Alissa a lil bit over her head but shes great, since she's only the vocals...Arch Enemy is a pillar in the melo death/metal community. Wish them the best.

I agree to a point, but she's the reason 99% of new listeners even click on the videos, and also a big reason they stick around. We've all heard a band before that sounded so great until the vocals come in, and they're just not for you. Every member of a band can be talented, but having a good "frontman" is really important to your success. Also she didn't say a word about Veganism in this video, so not sure why Scott had a problem. You don't want to hear about it, yet you brought it up yourself..?

Doing a video to a song is also a great way to really flush out the artists message or the essence of a song visually, things that might have gotten lost without the visuals.
Just like the saying a picture says more than 1000 words, that also rings true for video accompanying the song.
Right... And what messages does arch enemy say with their videos? Not much i would say, they're merely focusing on Alissa and her looks, her clothing and makeup/hair. It's like a metal version of a makeup&hair commercial.

Jeff Loomis should be included more in the songwriting. I like Arch Enemy but most of the riffs sound like they could have been made in the 80's. In my opinion nobody makes better riffs than Jeff. The work he did in Nevermore still holds up to this day.
Exactly! The songs have that cheesy hard rock vibe from the 80's. They used to make fantastic riffs, Now t's sounding like the big bands getting lazy and slow. Also, I hated the goth vibe from Alissa using clean vocals. It sounds like Lacuna Coil. I am an AE fan for more than 20 years. But the last two albums aren't that good, IMO.
