- At a recent Satan and Adam show at the World Cafe in Philadelphia (8/13/09), Adam Gussow plays harp and foot-drums on a one-man-band version of Stevie Wonder's hit, "Superstition."
Here's the link to version I learned from: Stevie on "Sesame Street." I speeded it up, of course, because an instrumental without vocals (my version) needs to hold listeners' interest:

Your show in Philly was multiple levels of amazing but this was definately a memorable highlight! I'm so glad I could be there to witness.
Adam, great stuff. that was a hella performance. The drum, the varying of tempo, and your tone were right on. Thanks
That title should read MR. Gussow OMB, you've earned it sir! Great performance.
I'm playing an A-flat harp in this one. An uncommon key, but that's what the original is in.
Glad I stumbled on this guy...so so talented!!
That was awesome Adam!
Sounds so good!!!🤘🤘🤘
Verry cool Adam ....I love the end when you just take off ....
Inspired choice man, and a great performance.. absolutely wicked!
Love it - thank you
Holy cow. Great stuff Adam!
Enthusiastic Applause mixed in with some cheers.....: ^ )) thanks doc
I love this!
you 'revalue' the harmonica. I feel honoured you and I play the same instrument.
Brilliant Adam, absofknlutely Brilliant :D
That's it, I'm gonna have a go at it :)

I'm going to work the streets at the Arkansas Blues & Heritage Festival (King Biscuit) in Helena, AR in October.
AMAZING!
That was awesome
That's so cool.
Great performance! Add a caption with that Sesame Street video linked in it. That way folks don't have to search it out! Or toss the link in the video description.
We were scheduled to play BB's in June but had to cancel. With luck, we'll do it next year.
YES man! YES!
Killed it
It's not an original song! I've adapted the various parts (keyboard, guitar, horns), fusing them into one groove-heavy harmonica part. The original is in Eb, so I've used an Ab harp, played second position, but you could certainly move up to a C harp.
Credit where credit is due: this is Stevie Wonder's song. I gather that the Jonas Brothers covered this, too, but I hadn't heard their version when I felt moved to work this harp version up.
@Urbanomad22: I'm playing an Ab harp in Eb.
I'd love to, but somebody needs to invite me.....and pay my way!
So cool....

This is excelence. As professional as pilot lauhches fighter by side changing wind.
Well, I rarely use it. This is the only song that I play on it. I got a good one, this time around (Marine Band's are variable in quality). It's certainly noticeably lower than an A. Didn't Stevie Ray Vaughan tune his guitar down a half step? Might be useful for playing along with his stuff.
also Louise by Big Walter H
that performance KICKS ASS!!
come to dc!!!!
Why are you not a super star? You have it, baby!!
+Weezer VanTrout Adam Gussow IS a super star!
yeah, you rite!!!!
I'll second that - if you make a lesson of this one I'll be first to buy it! I've been trying to plkay a convincing version of this for years
The foot drum is made by Pete Farmer. farmerfootdrums (dot) com. They're what makes the whole thing possible.
Adam 10 out of 10, are you ever coming to play in Ireland?
i think yo should go on americas got talent with this one you would win for sure
i wanna see you live bro, SHOW DATES!?!
would love to see a lesson on this one and willing to pay for it of course
EXCELLENT! Not only did I love the playing, but your shoes looked really fine, too! Please tell us where we can procure a harmonica tray like that that I am assuming mounts to a standard mic stand. How did you find a pigmy bass drum like that?
There are 100000000 Harper but your sound is unique.

That's great, but can you pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time? I know one of your early lessons said something about always tapping your foot while playing but my foot and my brain won't cooperate while my brain is trying to do something else (playing the harp.) When I play back my recordings my rhythm is on harp but my foot seems to always be doing it's own thing. Your lessons are great, but watching you actually jamming, wow!
WOW, it's great!!! What key of harmonica is it? Are you using overbending?? JUST LIKE S. WONDER!!
Adam, awesome tune. I'm #2 in line to buy the lesson. I tab'd out the first two verses - the Main Riff and the "Upbeat" fiff
On the Upbeat riff I get:
|r 2 r 2 1+ 1' 1 2" 1 2 2| r 2 2" 2 4 4 2 |
Playing the 1+ 1' 1 2" 1 2 2 is a bit awkward - not a typical riff on the 1+ 1' 1 - is this what your are playing?
Thanks
Alan
WOw, You were in my hometown?, In my area where I work and I didnt know it! ?!?!
Can we start a one man band youtube showdown! My money is on AG!
See my response above.
Great playin', Adam . Wouldn't work without the drum.
(Not as well, anyway.)
Who the hell actually disliked this video....?
Probably someone who thinks "danza cuduro" is the song of the century
