Super quick repair for a faulty touch screen on a Surface Pro 3 or Pro 4

- In this video I will show you how to repair very a Surface Pro 3 or Pro 4 touch screen where some areas are not responding to touch. This will only work if the digitiser on your screen is not broken.

Holy... THANK YOU! Recently i bought Surface 3 PRO 4/128 for ~70$ described as "Touch not working". After receiving it i found out that only a part of screen is not responding, so at that point I was very happy. Thank to you whole screen is working 100% properly!! It appears my unit had screen replaced with battery, no scratches at all, and 95% of original capacity.
Before buying I've read about screen calibration on these, just totally forgot!

How you do it? Everytime i try it only pop for 0.1 seconds and i got txt file client it said error

It really works. I was thinking about buying and replacing the display, and here after firing hotfix'a, the touch stopped going crazy and works all over the screen surface. Thanks friend.

OMG!!! I've spent my whole day today trying to fix my touchscreen on my Surface Pro 3 running 8.1. It had phantom touches and it was basically going crazy-out of control but this actually fixed it!!! Yippee!! Thank you soooooo much!!
This worked for mine in 2019. I had a 2 inch wide section of my screen that didn't work. I knew there was a fix, but the old Sony site to download the driver was no longer active. I'm glad you shared this file.

I love my surface, so when it started having this issue a few years ago I was devastated. I can't believe how happy I am right now. I seriously never thought in a million years I would get it working again. THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU BLOODY HERO! I love the surface pro's but dam do they have issues.

Thanks for this help. Bought my wife a Surface Pro some years ago and she complained about some parts of the screen was unresponsive. I bought her a new one and she gave the old to me. I am happy that I can enjoy the full functionality of this PC.

I felt like an idiot downloading a random exe file based on a referral from a year old youtube video with under 10k views, but hey, worst case scenario you've bricked a laptop I don't even use, right? For some reason it was refusing to unzip in my C drive but unzipped just fine when I downloaded it to my desktop instead. it took under a minute to run, and it worked! This is such a relief. Thank you!

JAN 2023 Worked in a Surface pro 3. Had a phantom touch on the upper zone of my screen, the surface was in perfect state. Thanks so much for yhe help i use my surface for my college & need it

First i was afraid that your .exe file is corrupted - but it wasnt. everything works perfect now! Thanks !!
Btw - If you used the windows calibration tool first then you have to RESET the calibration before (just open Windows Finger and Pen input settings - there is a reset button. Use this and after you did this use this .exe file. ) !! Had the problem over 3 months now and was very frustrated about microsoft and this tablet because it was expensive too and i didn´t use it alot in the past....

@piloupilou4671 just make a new folder and extract it there, then click on the application it should calibrate the screen automatically.

it works!!!!!!!! this problem just came out of nowhere after i installed a screen protector, also noted my screen is coming our of the frame. i figured this was a long shot and that I had a issue with my screen but i ran this and it worked! pay attention to where it unzips, run the utility and it's done.

J'avais la dalle tactile de ma Surface Pro 3 qui ne fonctionnait pas sur une partie de la dalle, après une réinitialisation windows. J'ai pensé à une panne matérielle. Finalement, le fix de recalibration de la dalle a résolu le problème. Un miracle !! Merci

OMg, thank you so much, I was nervous to download a random link from a website, but then I saw that I had somehow downloaded this already way back in 2018... and had never used it. Don't know how or why it ended up on my computer. In any case, I unzipped the file. And now my touchscreen works again. Thank you, thank you, everything with my Surface works great except my touch screen, and now I can use the device again for taking handwritten notes and sketches.

PERFECT, just when i was about to send it for repairs it all fixed. Fantastic. You would think microsoft could release an update to fix this considering its not a hardware issue but software.
