That's because most of the "half" of the politicians that "deny it's happening" KNOW it's happening... but their campaigns and support comes from Big Oil, or Big Beef (let's not forget all the methane billions of cows fart into the atmosphere - I'm not joking, AND I love eating a big ole steak now and then). Politicians only care about what they are paid to care about, and they vote accordingly. As for the half that say it's too expensive to fix... sadly they are fairly correct, it IS going to be incredibly expensive and time consuming. It's not going to be quick or easy to switch from fossil fuels to cleaner solutions. You have to start by educating our kids IN THE INDUSTRY so they can run the cleaner solutions - so they can start companies that are either providing the cleaner enerygy SOURCES, or industries that USE the cleaner energy sources - and those have to be built. It will take decades to turn this around - IF we have the political support TO change it - the question is: Does our planet have time to make the change?

Back in the seventies they were telling me that winters would be warmer than normal. Low and behold it's happening just like they said. Here in the Northeast there's been no significant snow in over 2 years.

Yes, I agree. I’m English but I came to live in Albania in 2004. The summers are always hot here but last year because of El Nino it was extremely difficult to cope with because of the high temperatures and 90% humidity some of the time. It’s also been like that for the past week. I’m just thankful that very shortly our Creator is going to sort out all our problems for us so that we can enjoy living on this beautiful planet as he intended. Psalm 37:10, 11 says: “Just a little while longer and the wicked will be no more; you will look at where they were, and they will not be there. At Mecca, it wasn't humid. At some point, it just gets too hot. But I agree. Humidity makes even lower temperatures deadly.

All of this being said, there is over tourism, people are travelling all over the world, in my city there is an abundance of large SUV’s, people are boarding cruise ships like never before, etc. I have neighbours bragging about the fact that they’re doing their part for the environment with their new electric car, meanwhile they’re going on a 2 week European cruise and boarding a plane by the same token. Btw, a large cruise ship is equivalent to a million cars on the road. We’re f*cked!

(Micah 4:3, 4; Isaiah 65:21, 22) He has a wonderful future in store for those who want to live in peace and harmony with others, the earth, and all life on it. (Isaiah 11:6-9) Psalm 37:10, 11 says: “Just a little while longer and the wicked will be no more; you will look at where they were, and they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace”.

The only reason to stop using gas vehicles is for cleaner air to breath. Which is a good enough reason of course! But electric vehicles also kill the planet because the SOURCE energy is still terrible for the environment. There is actually no big difference. We are transitioning into a La Nina, it's common to see record breaking temperatures during such an event. Nothing is "happening" to the weather that hasn't been happening for a very long time. Even if, the changes are so gradual we won't feel any major difference in our lifetime.
