To be honest, you should talk about the actual injuries at the end with a match like this. If you dont, the panel will think of it like the marriage storyline on Impact! and actual injuries and great matches will lose any meaning.
The guy in the couple was skeptical at first but he was definitely coming around. The guy by himself was all in after the big cage spot. He also was the only one who picked up on the vintage King and JR commentary!
This is why you don't have non wrestling fans react to the most iconic match in WWE history. It disrespects the preformers, the wrestling industry and most importantly the fans of wrestling.
This really deserved a followup explanation of the damage Mick took. I know they know by now but these classics are fun to watch new people see. Rock vs mankind RR 99 Or Shane vs angle kor 01 Nakumura vs zayn takeover
They 100% planned to go through the roof of the cage. What wasn't planned was it happening on the first chokeslam. That panel was rigged to give way after 4-5 slams, however they broke some of the ties walking on it for the first spot, then walking on it setting up the first chokeslam so when Mick's 275lbs landed on it the first time, he fell straight fucking through. What also wasn't planned was a steel chair being on the panel and falling through right behind him and clocking him right in the teeth, busting out two teeth and pushing them through his top lip.

After table spot, Mankind had a separated shoulder and bruised kidney. Yeah he's fine. After going through cage. Concussion, one and half teeth knocked out and needed several stitches to close a hole under his lip. The Undertaker had a broken ankle/foot before starting the match.

Tank top girl is a whole new level of clueless....so if you know you're going to do something, it doesn't hurt?? Foley bruised his kidneys, suffered a concussion, and knocked a tooth out.
Dude ... that people who have no idea about wrestling tend to be cynical is nothing new. But couldn't you at least have underlined that this match was very tough and led to various injuries? The whole reaction was rather annoying. But you're the wrestling fan. Why don't you say anything? I don't need to look at anything else from you. This is pretty much the toughest match in WWE history. From now on the reactions can only go downhill.
If you read Mick Foley's first book, Have A Nice Day, he explains how he came up with the name. His first WWF(at that time) name was supposed to be Mason the Mutilator. He thought of the name Mankind and pitched the idea to Vince McMahon and Vince said, "Let me think about it". He didn't know they went for the idea until he was announced the first time. As for this match, the 2 throws off the cage were planned, basically an idea from Terry Funk. Going THROUGH the cage was not planned, neither was the chair that followed him and knocked a tooth into his nose. He said after the match he walked up to Undertaker, with tacks still stuck to him and asked, "Did I use thumbtacks out there?". Undertaker looked back at him, trying not to laugh, "Yes you did". He said, "Good", and walked away. He had no recollection of that conversation the next day.
When Mankind was slammed through the roof of the cage, the Undertaker literally thought he killed Mankind. The roof of the cage was not supposed to give way. The fall from the cage through the table was from 20 feet high and onto an exercise mat with little padding that was on concrete, so planned or not it still really hurt.
whenever i hear someone say "Wrestling's fake" i like to think of when CM Punk called out a fan from the crowd daring him to step threw the ropes and do what he does
Women will talk down about this guy because being thrown off and through a cage and having thumbtacks all over himself doesn't impress them. No wonder I'm still single.😒😒🤦♂🤦♂😢😢
I didn’t like any of the people except for the guy with the dark complexion. He actually appreciated it. The bf gf were tools trying to be overly funny and the other bitch was just wrong about everything. Mick foley didnt know how to “fall” that shit hurt him. The fall through the cage wasn’t “scripted”. He wasn’t “fine when he got back up, he really was bleeding internally. He got dropped on thumbtacks twice and it wasn’t fake blood, it was real. She prolly wouldn’t believe that one of his teeth got lodged through his lip into his nose.
Wrestling is keyfabe. The blood, sweat and broken bones are real! Would you ask a boxer if a punch thrown by Tyson is fake? Would you ask a rugby player if the tackle is real? No! While the “story lines and results” may predetermined the way in which you get there isn’t!
I wish this guy actually educated them on what exactly happened. Yes its scripted, yes a lot of them are prepared and acted out, but that's not fake blood, there was no mattress or trampoline, he landed on the table, (which yes is easily breakable) but underneath that is concrete. So he landed on a concrete floor. Its was his real blood, he had to get like 30 stiches, also his tooth was lodged through his lip and up his nose. He was suppose to be carried off on the stretcher, but Mankind (Against those very real EMT's carrying him off advice) Mankind went back into the ring to continue. He lied and told his Boss, Vince Mcmahon it was safe and he's practiced it with the stunt people. That was a lie, he never attempted it before, but he wanted to do something "spectacular". Second, the commentators didn't know it would happen, the fall. So when (JR) said "Oh my god, he's dead", that was his genuine response, (He really thought he was dead or at least paralyzed. You can mock it, call it fake, call it barbaric, but its real in many ways.
What do you mean the stairs aren’t real there 230 pounds and I love wwe so when I found out it was fake I still Watched it but the older ones so much better the crowd
the couple is insufferable. They're going to end up fat and hating each other and their 5 kids. The one girl calling everything fake is alone for a reason lol. At least shes got her cat.
I feel like someone needs to explain to people what it really means to say that wrestling is "fake". The outcome is predetermined, they're not actually full out hitting each other (mostly), and the moves are meant to protect from serious injury as much as possible. But theres no faking being thrown off a 20 foot structure, getting slammed onto thumbtacks, or an unprotected chair shot. That's all real, even if the chair shots are pulled a bit. Also it's not fake blood, a common practice in the business was to slice themselves open with razor blades to purposefully draw blood. I think around the early 2010s they thought about bringing fake blood in but the idea was scrapped. No need for razor blades in this one though as Mick got hit in the face with a chair on the way down from the choke slam through the roof. Sent his tooth through his lip and gave him a concussion as well.
Should have gone down the list of injuries foley ended up with post match and the fact taker went in with a broken foot still one of the amazing performances ever
Mick’s tooth or bone was sticking through his top lip he had a dislocated jaw shoulder bruised ribs concussion internal bleeding puncher wounds ie the mouth & back from the tacks. At the start Taker had a broken foot before the match even started. And that chic claims it’s fake
Really couldn't stand that chick with the wine glass and her dull additude saying "its fake" Yes, they script out matches and maybe some fights don't look as believable as others. But when you see Mankind with a tooth up his nose, explain to me how that and all his other injuries post HIAC were faked.

the undertaker also had either a broken foot or ankle before the match so he climbed with the injury
These are the girls who call mankind falling from the cell “fake” but believe Keeping Up With the Kardashians is real and totally not scripted.
"Either he's a really good actor or he's really hurt." They were carting him out of the arena and raising the cage because they were gonna call the match off but because Foley is fucking incredible and insane he forced his way past them to keep going. Pro wrestling is scripted but the danger is real
Interviewer: So how did you feel about the guy getting thrown off the balcony and falling nine floors to his death?
Absolute dumbest person: Um, well... he knew it was going to happen, so he had time to prepare for it.
That woman who is like "he knows how to fall" xD then J.R. literally answers her on commentary. No one knows how to take that fall, you don't practice falling 20 feet. He knew how to fall like 6-8 feet and only even survived because of that. It almost baffles me that these people haven't seen this before, truly one of the greatest physical feats a human has ever done. People will watch this in 100 years and still be like "that was insane".
"it's just a cage bro, it's not satanic. There's no blood, there's no PENTAGONS". Really lady?
I would love for these same people to see behind the scenes of this iconic match, there is no fake freefall from 16 feet.
"That's fake blood"
You literally seen a chair bounce off his teeth
And a tooth in his nose...lol
her: it's a fake chair.
If that girl wants to see real, show her ANY CZW match and she’ll see the real wrestling.
She’ll most likely be like “that’s gross” or “not wrestling”
... bro, do you honest to God think that's gonna help after her reaction to s guy falling 2 stories?
She should see mick foley vs Terry funk death match in Japan now you want to talk about crazy
As a Wrestling fan this is kinda sad that the entertainment factor isn't taking seriously. The ignorance of the non-wrestling fan belittling the viewer is upsetting. This is an epic match that will go down in history as one of the craziest matches of all time. This defined the attitude era.
3:05 "theres no hell in the cell its hell ON THE CELL" got me weeaaak
To be honest, you should talk about the actual injuries at the end with a match like this. If you dont, the panel will think of it like the marriage storyline on Impact! and actual injuries and great matches will lose any meaning.
I can tell just from this video that the young couple must be *really* fun at parties
Mankind: dies and has head cut off
The girls: Fake head
There is nothing more infuriating than non wrestling fans criticize wrestling.
The guy in the couple was skeptical at first but he was definitely coming around. The guy by himself was all in after the big cage spot. He also was the only one who picked up on the vintage King and JR commentary!
The dude with long hair was the only one actually reacting
"Now that seems like a wrestler, not just some guy."
This dude would learn to love Mick Foley. He put butts in the seats.
This is why you don't have non wrestling fans react to the most iconic match in WWE history. It disrespects the preformers, the wrestling industry and most importantly the fans of wrestling.
"He bit into a blood tab". Dude bit into his tongue lmao
This really deserved a followup explanation of the damage Mick took. I know they know by now but these classics are fun to watch new people see. I know they just expect professional safety measures but its always a shame for Mick's fortitude
The reactions of horror hearing the reality would make it so beautiful. Subbing I like this.
Rock vs mankind RR 99
Or Shane vs angle kor 01
Nakumura vs zayn takeover
4:34 thats like saying if you know your gonna stab yourself its not gonna hurt lol
He dislocated his shoulder when he landed !!!
the amount of injuries in this match.... but no "if you know how to fall" - kinda like the same "know when to shut up and look pretty, ey?"
Girl: That's fake blood
Mankind who didn't plan on falling through the roof of the cage and has a tooth lodged in his nose: bet...
@@maxdecphoenix The plan was simply to throw him onto the announcer’s table, if they really were planning that then would be some kind of way to cushion him like a table. There’s a reason the ring gets dented whenever someone else did this
@@ReactAndyhate No. Dude I watched this shit live as a teenager. This shit used to be my life. And over the last 25 years, I've watched hours of coverage of this match. The panel was rigged for it to take a couple chokeslams before breaking, but it broke the first time. They literally rigged it up with zip-ties. JR has talked at length about this match. Cornette has talked at length about this match. Taker has talked at length about this match. Foley has talked at length about this match. Bruce Pritchard has talked about this match. Terry Funk has talked about this match. Metzler has written at length about this match. People have discussed this match on forums for 20 years. Taker and Foley have done joint interviews talking about this spot. Who do you think i'm going to believe here? Half the roster and admin, or some dude on youtube?
@@maxdecphoenix So I just looked into this and turns out you are half right, Foley was only suppose to dangle off of the cell before safely rotating to the ground, yet your very nerd emoji way of explaining thing made me think we planned to kill foley by doing the spot any way
I am surprised nobody acknowledged the tooth up Mick's nose.
You should tell them that mankind got his ear ripped off during a match
Why lie? His ear didn't get ripped off during this match.
bigmoethedon not during this match but one of his ears did get ripped off on accident during a match
I bet they'll still say fake.
Man literally falls from a 20 ft cell
Girl : "This is fake, he is made from rubber or something"
MY GOD ALMIGHTY MY GOD ALMIGHTY THAT KILLED HIM AS GOD IS MY WITNESS HE IS BROKEN IN HALF!!!
Thank you best one liner ever in wwe
JR will always be the best commentator they ever had.
This wasn't a Hell in a Cell match, this was ''The Hell In A Cell Match''!
6:35 it wasn't he lost a tooth
I'd 100% take a thumb tack bump for 1 million, i wouldn't think twice.
After table spot, Mankind had a separated shoulder and bruised kidney. Yeah he's fine.
After going through cage. Concussion, one and half teeth knocked out and needed several stitches to close a hole under his lip.
The Undertaker had a broken ankle/foot before starting the match.
She said "theres no blood, no pentagons" 😂
"They think it's deadass real"
Anyone who thinks wrestling fans think it's all real, is the true idiot. This is the first video I've seen from this guy and that Ashley girl is just the worst. I'm no therapist but holy superiority complex, Batman!
Tank top girl is a whole new level of clueless....so if you know you're going to do something, it doesn't hurt?? Foley bruised his kidneys, suffered a concussion, and knocked a tooth out.
We don’t think it’s real, we love the SHOW
Dude ... that people who have no idea about wrestling tend to be cynical is nothing new.
I wish you would've gone through a list of Foleys injuries from that match and explained the 2nd fall wasn't planned.
People: it's fake
Me screaming at the TV: do it again!!!!
Let these people who think the bumps are fake, go get thrown 15 feet out a cage and get a concussion!!!
I wish you corrected the girl with the wine rather then letting her go on thinking he delusional nonsense
whenever i hear someone say "Wrestling's fake" i like to think of when CM Punk called out a fan from the crowd daring him to step threw the ropes and do what he does
Mankind was unconscious and had his tooth come through his face. He was sticking his tongue out
The guy with the long hair, he's the only good one
Women will talk down about this guy because being thrown off and through a cage and having thumbtacks all over himself doesn't impress them. No wonder I'm still single.😒😒🤦♂🤦♂😢😢
6:58 fakest laugh ever
Ikr
I didn’t like any of the people except for the guy with the dark complexion. He actually appreciated it. The bf gf were tools trying to be overly funny and the other bitch was just wrong about everything. Mick foley didnt know how to “fall” that shit hurt him. The fall through the cage wasn’t “scripted”. He wasn’t “fine when he got back up, he really was bleeding internally. He got dropped on thumbtacks twice and it wasn’t fake blood, it was real. She prolly wouldn’t believe that one of his teeth got lodged through his lip into his nose.
"Sub-Zero with CHAINS IN HIS HANDS!"
Rly dude? Rly?
So....Scorpion?
If they think it’s so fake, tell them to go jump off of something 16ft high and fall on your back and see how it feels 😂😂
Did this lady really just say that pentagons are satanic???
Nowadays the stairs are hollow
the couple is insufferable. They're going to end up fat and hating each other and their 5 kids. The one girl calling everything fake is alone for a reason lol. At least shes got her cat.
Make: *Non wrestling fans react to Undertaker V Shane McMahon from WM 32*
Or to end of an era from WM 28
Use predetermined not fake the injuries are not fake the toll it takes on the body is real.
Show them CZW!!!!!!!!!!
The girl is in HUGE disbelief. But hey shes not a fan so you cant blame here for not knowing the truth.
I think The 6-man Armageddon hell in a cell would be great to react too
A trampoline? A fucking trampoline?
PLEASE have them react to Cody vs Dustin at Double or Nothing, its sooooo good
if only that 1 woman knew how real this match was.
Imagine if Bruce Lee was in the WWE
That's fake blood 😨?
Calm down kid
