I love the casual hot rod guys mentality…the willingness of the Morris team to show stuff on the internet that other builders and tuners guard like some sort of national secret is awesome.
I wonder if the guys at Lamborghini & Audi who designing the 5.2L V10 ever thought to themselves "You know, one day some crazy Americans are gonna damn near quadruple the original power of our engine." LMAO 🤙 Great work guys, such a killer power plant.
@@RonniePTexan Lol, true. But knowing German's & Italian's they'd probably be like "How dare you modify our amazing example of European engineering!!!" LMAO. Like how Ferrari is completely up in arms over Liberty Walk's widebody F40. They're picky about these kinds of things 😂
@@jdmmike7225 The "how dare you" crowd is usually excited when the new engine design puts out 23 HP more than the last design. Just noticed at 8:55 you can really see how much air the engine is sucking in by looking at the wall of the dyno room. The flaps on the air vent get sucked closed!
That was the billet 5.2 but wasn’t there something special about it? I don’t know Lambo stuff but I believe it had something to do with firing order that made it sound so insane.
@@kevinfunk83the firing order was changed from odd firing (like all 5.2s) to even firing (original 5.0 liter Gallardo engine from 2004-2008), a very very unique sound.
Yeah might want to clarify that a lot of R&D went into designing and building the engine to fire that way! It’s sad that there are individuals that would actually try swapping plug wires or other crazy stuff !

Would love to see that build up video. The end product is always impressive to see, but all of the work and effort that goes into a build is what I love to see. Thanks for the vids....
Can you possibly show the process you guys use from when a customer calls to order an engine through building including the process of pulling parts from inventory. Especially interested in how the flow of work is managed through the shop.
It's pretty much 1 off engines. It's not a mass assembly line, it's a custom shop. They're going to have parts on the shelf for the smx and sml. I'd venture to guess if you just want a big block they'll have to source the parts you decide on and build it out. This is also a year or better build in most cases. From the first phone call, to taking delivery is going to be months at the very least. You'll discuss your needs, pricing, parts, and then get put in line.
While I agree that these guys are wholesome, intelligent and entertaining, they can make a second channel for recreation content. I'm here for the engines.
This has got to be the most interesting most technical RUclips channel I’ve ever experienced. Amazing job Steven Kyle does showing us the most interesting details.👍❤️🇨🇦
Glad to see Kyle coming out the shell... he has soooo much to learn from his pops ... I learned everything I know from mine but my dad didn't have patience like Steve does... my dad was a dick but it helped me learn faster I think

Hello guys, I wasn't sure the best way to send you a message about safety. The other day I think you were working on Tom's old engine that was one of your first builds. Kyle was working in front of the engine while it was idling and he had on loose fit clothing. Just a heads up, as loose clothing and moving belts can lead to disaster I love your show very very much and watch every episode as soon as it is available! 👍😎👍
Yes. There’s a few other well-known European builders out there that build great stuff. At the same time. It gets a little boring. So watching a newcomer is definitely going to make it more fun.

It's impressive how even with the dyno room under forced ventilation, that thing ends up putting the room under negative pressure (watching the louvres get pulled closed) toward the top end of each pull!
Interesting. I looks like the engine pulls in enough air to let the flaps on the room exhaust fans close. I wonder if a bigger engine would make more power with a door to the dyno room open?

Just curious, you said the green car made 2000hp at the wheels on a stock block? I’m assuming they turn the cars up at the track instead of the dyno? Ie switch 3 being 2100 crank hp just to make sure things are working instead of actually going for a big number?
I was thinking how could a stock Lambo tranny handle that. I went to Dallas Performance and saw they had a $15,000 clutch pack upgrade. I guess that's how.
Your not getting enough air into the dyno room. Fan louvers are closing at the high end of the room. Do you have a manometer measuring air pressure in the room vs the outside air pressure?
