As a LSU, when they talked about Malik Nabers in high school his senior season and then going into the offseason practices at LSU, it was the same way they talked about Justin Jefferson. I remember coaches knowing Jefferson was going to be great and he was the leading receiver the firat season he played.
Nabers would cook dudes in the 1 on 1s at LSU camps. This was a guy who was way under the top guys at the position, but as LSU fans, we considered him the best out the group, even with Brian Thomas and Chris Hilton in the group.
He's the best WR in this class IMO. He's one that top shelf of LSU WRs that have gone to the NFL.

The stars are in allignment for the Chargers, Picking 5th behind three teams which will most likely choose a QB - They will most likely have the chance of either MHJ or Malik... Either shoice is fine with me.

Consensus 1,2,3,MHJr, Nabors, Odunze. He's only 6ft. Great YAC. But doesn't keep DB from grabbing onto him, which he better learn in the NFL.

It was pretty easy to see him as the #2 WR off the board, and then the Chargers traded away Keenan Allen. Harbaugh getting rid of Allen was for opening up some cap space but I also feel it showed an indication that they want Nabers. Assuming MHJ continues his trajectory of going to the Cardinals and depending on what the Giants do.
EDIT: I'm not sure why I thought the Giants were ahead of them.

Nah man. MHjr and Nabers are just different type of receivers. Marvin Harrison checks every box. His pro comp would be a bigger Davante Adams. He does everything pretty much perfect more often than not. His hands are insane. Full release package. Great route running. Dominated since he was a little kid all the way through college. He's big and fast. I prefer Nabers though. He is going be a beast and people will like his style. His style and athleticism will translate. He's a great route runner. He's the next big time receiver. Marv will go to a bad team, and has a ton of pressure on him.

Contrary to your assessment, Nabers is the third best receiver in this draft. MHJ and Odunze are both better, but Nabers ia still good and as the 3rd best in this draft will go high and be successful on the next level. Nabers comp may be DJ Moore, but MHJ’s comp is Justin Jefferson.
