You didn't answer the question. Is the title just for views?

How do you know what’s causing the cyst when an MRI only shows the cyst. MRI does not show any visible tears or injury.

I really enjoyed this video. Thanks. Baker's Cysts are proving to be difficult to understand. My Hubby is almost 80 years old, and we walk as one of our daily exercises. Usually 5KM at 18 - 19 minutes per mile. Got a little crazy with the time, down to 17 minutes per mile, and his cyst appeared. At first we were concerned it was Deep Vein Thrombosis, but got into Ultrasound, and they say no, the blood flow is good. So it is a Cyst, but they had no recommendations about what to do next. So, we have been searching Dr. Google with limited success. He is currently taking a break from walking, and working on strengthening the knee. It has shrunk some, but we would like to see it much smaller before we restart walking in a limited fashion. Thanks again.

I had a bakers cyst surgically removed from my right knee when i was 8 years old. I had 19 stitches. Why do some kids get them ?

If someone has a meniscus tear that they don’t repair anymore with surgery. And also has arthritis in the same knee. This is what the cause of the baker cyst. How do you treat a meniscus tear and arthritis if they don’t do surgery to make the baker cyst go away?
Kind of two wrongs don’t make a right.

If you take care of the knee pathology such that the fluid stops being dumped into the joint, usually the baker's cyst will deflate and disappear
