The young lady Jessica was definitely felt. DSBW dont like to see their own images because they've been conditioned to believe they're not desirable or beautiful. That internal hate is projected onto other DSBW, then they uplift that which they were told was superior or more acceptable. Especially when she spoke on her view of feminity. I was bullied alot because i didnt care to be hard or aggressive. She came with so much wisdom.

I’m a Black woman who lives in Maine so I naturally geared towards “Black women” safe spaces online in addition to groups that cater to women of other races for numerous reasons (mostly tips on life). The BW groups seemed like “safe spaces” for people to be unapologetically toxic and inexplicably mean to others. When I tell you I ended up leaving majority of the BW groups because of the high amount of negativity, between the bullying, complaining about things that THEY didn’t go through and the victim mentality on situations they put themselves in? I couldn’t take it anymore. The posts about improving our lives/communities and becoming better people overall were always empty but let someone make a post about their deadbeat baby daddies or bullying someone because they didn’t like their comment on another post, everyone comes out and you’ll see thousands of comments on it. Let me not even start on the colorism and the cryracial debates that just further divided people within the groups😭
Racism in 2024 is the least of our problems, the hate that we have towards each other will take us out before racism does.

Ignoring people who doxx you and harass you online is very hard to do when you are being attacked and cyberbullied. It's not just people saying negative things its people stalking and cyberbullying. We have normalized stalking, doxxing, and bullying on social media. The point of this video was to be transparent enough so that black women content creators can be successful not just content creators.

You can't ignore everyone who attacks you. Sometimes you have to stand up for yourself. I had a bm trying to harrass me on my channel by creating damaging lies about me, calling me a prostitute just because I was taken care of in my interracial relationship and I didn't just sit back and take it. His channel ended up being terminated by youtube for defamation and he has never tried to harrass me again.
In some cases you must defend yourself or the narrative will be written for you no matter how damaging.

@@RealTalkWithYanie No one is saying to ignore those people who doxx and harass. That is illegal. I'm saying its disingenuous to act like its only black women doing it to other black women. She specifically stated that the white content creators are not receiving the same treatment, and then proceeded to state the only hate she gets is from other black women. The whole tone of this video came across as "my own community hates me and others love me". When that is not the case. My point that keeps getting overlooked is why focus on the negative COMMENTS being made by *some* people (Who Im sure arent all black) label it a black thing, instead of talking about the supporters (who Im sure ARE mostly black)

I honestly think most BW have and follow the same culture/interests. I don’t think there are many BW who have different interests from the norm and if they do they don’t explore it openly or through content. There is pressure in the BW community to be one way and there is no room for differences. If you are different you’re seen as acting white. Growing up I didn’t relate with many BW. Even though I was open to being friends I was not close friends with many BW I came in contact with. I do have BW friends but they are more seen as eccentric and have “white people” interests. It used to disappoint me but I’ve realized having different interests as a BW is looked down upon in the black community. I agree that BW who have different interests should not minimize their reach to only BW through content.

Women like Oprah, Shonda Rhimes, lupita, Diana Ross, Naomi Campbell, went the neutral route in their career and they gain tremendous success. Megan the stallion has ventured out into the anime world and she is gaining more success and fans aswell. If Megan cleaned up her look and soowed down on all the tweaking she could go even further.

I have help to create the space for black women commentators. I started doing commentary when no one else was really doing commentary. I was always original. This was mainly for the smaller creators who are struggling because the numbers don’t reflect behind their amazing content. The people you listed off may create content, but it doesn’t mean they don’t feel defeated because they’re not getting the support. When I spoke on numbers, I spoke on the success of being a creator. You can be original and still be successful as a content creator. Commentary may be popular now, but I definitely helped create that lane. My authenticity got me to this level in this space with commentary. People are wanting me to get into other things, and I simply brought this conversation to light to show them that it will take me going through a transition. I’m okay with that! 😊

Yani is so divinely favoured. It was the lady at the end who only joined by the link “randomly” that concluded so beautifully the content of the entire video by discussing her experience.

I think you did this video in response of a girl who commented that she wants to see you doing different content.
I agreed with her in the comments. But I think if you have done a different type of content. I would have not listened to the video. It makes me wonder why I am attracted to a certain type of content. I complain about it but I know I won’t watch anything else.
It was a very very interesting video Yanie. Thank you.

Security needs to stop kicking everyone out or at least walking out with ppl if they are gonna kick both parties out. That’s how my dad passed away. This couple initiated a fight and they kicked all of them out and the guy was mad that he got beat up and grabbed a gun from his car. Like why would security kick y’all out and y’all are being harassed?

I know that we are encouraging soft life, but we should also teach about the reality of how hard the world is in general. Work is hard no matter where you work. Dating can be hard. Everything in life can be hard, but it can also be easier if we taught the new corporate girlies about office politics, CYA, and how to play the game. I mean, we have Kerri Washington to look at for an example. That Washington TV show she did is a good example of how on alert and smart and strategic we have to be on any job, self employed or whatever. Someone has to teach about how to be tough in a feminine way. And, we do need to stop complaining online about everything, because people are not going to want to risk their brand with us... The slow bus ones are ruining it for the girls that get it. Good girls are going to have to separate themselves from the ones that fight to stay at the bottom and to always be the victim. People have no more sympathy... Everybody is going through!✌️

Eventhough it takes a lot of time and hard work to earn a decent living on social media. If you stay consistent and work hard you can earn a decent amount of money to the point that you can quit your 9 to 5 job.

I feel like this video definitely hit the nail on the head. I've had to go and block certain blogs because the comments were a mess for the most innocent of things. Like why are grown adults having a jab session over a little baby just existing?? Drama is fun and all but people are way too comfortable being complete demons in comment sections.
Also side note, Taylor's smile is gorgeous! She's so pretty.

Maybe it’s not the people it’s the content. If you’re not getting the shares on TikTok then you’re not going to get the views. I’ve been in the thousands with my views and my videos are on various different things and I don’t post consistently.

I like Yanie but I feel like she’s not the right person to speak on this topic . The lady in the beginning of the video is talking about colorism . woman I notice that Yanie shy away from colorism topics because she’s lighter. I’ll skip this video .

I did a whole video on Ekane and colorism recently. I specifically bought on different shades of black to have a voice based on experience. I didn't need to overpower and overshadow these ladies. I simply listened!
