About 18 minutes in....and already a few things are starkly apparent. Firstly, it's obvious that his intention was not to interview his guest, but to oppose her, as well as devalue,demean and debunk her. I was appalled at how rude he was, straight out the gate. She was exceptionally sweet and respectful and so graciously showed her reverence to his platform in spite of his obvious inferiority. I love how she psychologically and verbally castrated him....with brilliant articulance...all the while never breaking a sweat or stride.

I had a guy tell me how problematic he felt single mothers were after just meeting me only to turn around try and turn me into one less than six months after knowing me. He was upset because I wouldn't have kids with him, but he wasn't interested in marriage. We no longer speak. Some men are just clowns.
Chile my ex was the same way. Devalued women with kids, didn’t want to marry me BUT, wanted to be in a “committed relationship” and have kids. I said there is no commitment without marriage. These men want to use our wombs for FREE. No sir, you can knock someone else up. I’m good love 😊

Cannot! She politely gathered him each and every time. This is the type of energy I aspire to have.
He loves bringing up his parents relationship, for one, he's not modeling his life after the relationship by getting married himself. He wants a woman to be a pushover and be his momma/girlfriend but he doesn't want to be his dad and marry said woman. Also from his previous explanation of his parents marriage, it sounds like it was not a partnership and his momma dealt with too much.
I also felt like he thought he was proving some type of point by talking about being from a home with married parents, his parents are married, yet he has a fear of marriage, his parents are married but he wants a bunch of baby mothers and kids out of wed lock. He's proud of that like it's his marriage but he's not going to marry any of his children's mothers, future or present. So ALL of his children are coming from homes without two parents and/or married parents. Also if he feels like his parents marriage was amazing and he wants that, why is that not his goal.
Facts! Also, he said “ my mom is all my dad knows”, I’ve heard him say that before and that lets me know the type of woman his mom is. The one to stick and stay no matter what her husband does. Then he said something about how his mom told him one has to be willing to go through hell with their spouse/significant other. Like, why? That’s a problem within itself. Too many black women thinking about suffering and trying to prove themselves to black men by how much mess they’ll tolerate. Instead of having healthy/happy relationships. Ridiculous!
@shamrockshow8490 It's very telling that he never felt bad about his mama going through all of that and taking care of him his siblings, that's how I know those kids don't live with him full time and/or he gets a lot of help. He wants the same from a girlfriend/baby mother that his dad got from a wife. Sadly, he probably does get that

His mom is the one always giving him marriage advice because she was going through it. His dad probably had the same mindset about women. They are free to be whomever they want, but the woman has rules. I kind of remember him saying, no matter what his mama had food on the table every night/day even if she was tired, and took care of them, and I'm like dang your dad didn’t try to give her break, she was doing EVERYTHING, Everyday. When he talks about his parents, it never sounds good for the mom, or at least what I've heard, I don't watch him that much lol.

I know you disagreed with her saying, high value women do entertain low value men. We see it all the time with our friends, family, and even celebrities. What Cam and the Doc were equating high value with was money and finances. I know this is not your definition, nor is it mine, but this is what they were saying. So there are many women that date men below them financially(value). Not only are these men lower than them financially, a lot of these men are broke, with high debt. We have, Nicki Minaj, Keke Palmer, Halle Berry, Jill Scott, and Keyshia Cole does it a lot. This can also prove her point of, value and function are not the same, because although Nicki and Keyshia have money are valuable in that regard, but they are very low functioning, look at their dating history, and argument/fight history Also look at all these women making these broke men their managers instead of getting an actual manager.
This stories on tiktok even prove the point, the song "bills, bills, bills, and even "irreplaceable". So many women take care of these men financially.

Hey Yanie, I listened to others break down this commentary and I really enjoy your perspective because you gave a wholistic approach rather than cherry pick what sounds good to you. I like the balance and fairness. Dr. Bryant is very intelligent and Cam was not ready
I didn't grow up seeing healthy relationships and am married. Seeing dysfunction showed me what I didn't want or need in a relationship, and my husband's mother and stepfather have a healthy marriage.
I notice in alot of his interviews, he always states that all his mother knew was his father. To me, it sounded like the children were never paid attention to like the father was. It almost seems like he noticed that but doesn’t want to acknowledge it. So though he loves his mom, he feels that if she can take anything, so can the other women that he hardly commits to.
I’m 45 and have noticed o eat the years, the women (my mom’s friends, neighbors mom growing ) who had abusive husbands… the children grew up and had MAJOR disregard for the mother as adults … particularly the sons .Additionally, how can he hold his mother in such high regards while treating women as disposable objects for producing children for him but not good enough to marry.

We as BW definitely need to be harsh. If you have no children he can’t have any children. BM will date you and because you have just one child they will never plan to marry you. These podcast promote it and it’s exhausting but we as women have to start and I bet we get a difference out of our BM.

LISTEN! I'm married in solo therapy because I truly love my husband and I knew an undiagnosed mental disorder was getting in the way of me fully living. Dr. Bryant said a whole word about not counseling married COUPLES! My therapist gives me tools to recognize when I'm not my best self and how to get back grounded. Therapy and getting a care team together was the best money I have spent.

He’s really afraid to be in a relationship like his parents which is why he won’t ever get married. There’s no way that you had such an amazing healthy relationship for an example of love and relationships and you ran in the complete opposite direction. I caught that he spoke highly of his dad and said I choose to do the opposite and go the other direction which lets me know he didn’t see what his dad was doing as conducive to his life or family he wants and how his kids will be raised. Where is this notion that a dr who is single can’t advise those who are married? You dr probably never had cancer but can’t treat it because they’re EDUCATED on it
I know a lot of high value women that are with broke men some are high functioning and some are low functioning women. So she is right. Churches encourage women who are doctors and lawyers to date men that barely have a job too because they are “men of god”. Some are childhood sweethearts and became unequally yoked as the woman progressed and the man stayed stagnant. The women that grew up in the hood and are now successful still mostly relate to hood men. A lot of women do date men for looks too and they are funding his lifestyle.

I’d argue that having integrity makes you high functioning. Lack of integrity, self esteem, and morals seems like low functioning and low vibrational to me.
