Cam Newton did an impeccable job with this interview. The level of transparency that Kirk Franklin had is what the Christian community lacks. “Every boy needs to lay at the breast of their mother”. That shook my heartstrings. As a mom, I can’t imagine leaving my children by CHOICE. I pray for Kirk’s continued healing and kudos to Cam Newton. These brothers are real ones!

I'll never forget being around 9 or 10 years old. I was with my dad in mega mart getting groceries in Memphis, TN. We saw kirk Franklin. Back then, we didn't have phones with cameras, or they were just coming out, and I was definitely too young to have one. Kirk signed the back of our grocery list because that's all we had for him to sign. My dad past away just a couple of years later. But that's a memory I'll always have with him. Thank you, kirk!

Kirk could have his own podcast just on healing from dysfunctional family relationships. I'm raising my niece & have no biological kids of my own. Both her parents live less than 10 minutes from us and do not spend much time with her. I feel so blessed to be able to raise this child and see the awesome child that God is positioning her to become. For me, I set boundaries with my family and disengage. My first concert ever was a Kirk Franklin and God’s Property concert in Jamaica. My friends and I had A BALL! I still remember what I wore and how happy I felt. Even though I haven’t been a committed Christian in some time, I still try my best to live according to the guidance I learnt from my church-going Grandma and going to church with her. And when I am feeling low or dispirited and really truly low, I know that if I put God’s Property and The Nu Nation Project on repeat and I will feel OK (Up Above My Head, Love, You Are the Only One, The Storm is Over Now, Lean On Me, Riverside, Hold Me Now); I can literally always feel my body relax and calm down…and chuckle at the interludes. Stomp always makes me smile.
So happy to see you still going strong and openly questioning + sharing your journey.

    Sir Newton,
As a celebrity publicist, I watch and study interviews...hands down TheCamNewtonExperience - TCNE is setting the bar for interviews. We have not had interviews of this caliber since early days of Oprah. Your transparency with each interview sets the stage for your guests to deliver an honest, open and poignant interview experience. And we, the public are humbled and honored for allowing us to bear witness to this greatness. The Kirk Franklin interview is a testament to the aforementioned.

There is much respect for Kirk Franklin. The documentary had me in tears, and I was able to understand the burnding my husband was/is going through after learning his deceased father was not his biological father. We tried to find answers about his Dad (who is living) through DNA testing, but there is still information he needs to move forward that only his mother knows of, but refuses to give. She's more worried about how her church friends and family will view her! She totally diismissed my Love mental, emotional and Spiritual well being! But God, and prayer, fasting, meditation, and a GREAT therapist, he is working through it. I am So proud of my beloved, as I am proud of Mr. Frankin! Many women dont understand that the identity of a Man is his Father and when lied to it causes chaos and what my husband used to say organized dysfunction. All who are going through such an experience my prayer for you is may the most high guide you with his holy spirit as go through the process and i pray you receive a divine Revelation knowledge that keeps you in Love and in the spirit of TRUTH covered by grace while going through. ❤

Just had to recognize this year my mama never truly gave me the love I desired from her, she gave it to her abusive husband who’s she’s still with. I always asked myself why wasn’t I or my brother enough??? What does he have that we don’t. How can a mother choose a man over her children?? Still behooves me. I walked away from her permanently two weeks ago after years of torture and trauma. Thanks mom for getting me here, but the woman I am now No longer needs you to succeed, I forgive and I wish nothing but good upon you

That interview to me was the best!!!! Really hit my heart when he spoke of his biological mother… my mother, has done some very disrespectful things to me over the years, and the people that I have in my life are not related, but they are more family than my own family is. My mother was still very abusive, not only to me but her own granddaughter and that’s not something I can accept.
When he quoted to his mom, I’m good, but he wasn’t really good. I felt that because I told my mother the same thing because my mother literally told me that a conversation that we had the phone that it wasn’t gonna be a Kumbaya moment. … I’m good… excellent interview… a lot of Kirk’s songs affected me in my life
