Garage Gator

This is a video for the Garage Gator 8-Bike Lift kit..
Overall, I'm happy with the lift. There were some initial installation headaches - a couple of the lag screws broke during installation into the ceiling and I had to buy a couple new ones at the store. Other than that difficulty, referencing the Proslat install video and instructions made the process straight forward.

How long was the power chord and where does it need to be wired/plugged to?

I plugged the power cord into an existing ceiling outlet used by the garage opener. I'd estimate the outlet is about 4' away from the lift mechanism and there's not much slack so I wouldn't install much farther than 4'.
