I was watching the "saga" from the first days and rooting for you, because a lot of people would giveup on a project this hard. You did It, and it's fantastic. Congrats on this cool and inspiring project!
from the thumbnail, I legit thought this was the controversial Transformers G1 Jetfire toy that was CLEARLY Rick Fockers veritech....*i had one* Aaaaamazing! 👏👏👏
The build looks fantastic there is only a few inaccuracies (but it’s not your design) I’m glad it holds together pretty well and if you make another one I recommend useing the swing bar design of the “Chunky Monkey” it makes it more efficient and you only need one cockpit if you make the canopy removable thus making it cheaper and stronger. You did a fantastic job comparing to similar scales the only thing that I’ve seen in similar scale that looked good was a 1/20 scale model but it was really expensive and did not transform, I enjoyed this series thanks!
I LOVE it! I only wish I had the money to buy it, or the skill to make one. :D Hope to see more projects about macross/mospeada sometime in the future. :) Awesome work!
Thanks! My other projects are getting backed up. It may be a while before I do another something Ike this, but I’m sure I will eventually. Thanks for the comment!
Love the whole series. Only problem I saw was the arms in fighter mode not sliding together all the way. Think the switches kinda got in the way maybe.
It’s on eBay. The link is in the description section. I struggled with deciding on a price. I thought it was too much, but my friends told me it wasn’t enough. So I guess if nobody wants to spent that much I’ll lower it.
This one sold on eBay for $950. At the moment, I don’t really have time to take on another project, so I’d have to charge quite a bit more to make it worth doing another one.
llo again, so long time, sorry to bother you but i want to know if you can share the link to buy this 3d model please, i look in thingiverse but i cant find :(, thanks a lot
@@customfabrications i hope the prize it was bigger ,hiw many hours/man do you think it was,not in 3d printing, thinking redesigning this little toy to an incredible piece.goodbye see you in another project ,to me this was the most great. take care
This is amazing. This is a 40 years old toy, but it is still beautiful and futuristic. And, best of all, it is 3D printed! What a time to be alive.
Thanks!

Thanks! Every moving and sliding part was difficult to get to work right.
This looks massive!
Thanks! Almost too big though.
Very nice
Thanks!
This is very cool. If I wanted could I print this but make it even larger?
Thanks! And I guess you could make it as big as you want.
Beautiful, I would definitely not sell that.
Thanks!

It’s in thingiverse.
@custom fabrications I found it thanks and wish me luck lol
Good luck!
Is there a chance you could expand this to cover the other VF-1 models? (1A, 1J, and 1S)
Thanks for the comment, but if I do, it won’t be anytime soon. I am way too far behind on current projects.
06:34 "pardon me there sir" :)
It’s ok,,, I’m his ‘doctor’...😉...
what is the scale reference you made, about the file is it 400%?
I made the files exact to the kit. I printed at 300%.

I’ll post a link in the description when I list it. This week sometime.

How much would a kit like this cost if you were to make one for me?
This one sold on eBay for $950. At the moment, I don’t really have time to take on another project, so I’d have to charge quite a bit more to make it worth doing another one.
Are the files available? I’d be interested in printing one myself!
They are in thingiverse

You can’t buy the model, but here are the files on thingiverse; www.thingiverse.com/thing:4097191
What scale would you call that?
The kit I based it on is 1/72, so this would be 1/24.
How did you do de painting or the stickers??
No stickers. Just very careful masking and airbrushing.
you can buy to make the decals it is very cheap, in a common laser printer
where can i download the file
