  • New Caledonia March 2009: quite simply, the world's biggest GIANT TREVALLY on poppers. Featuring the French LPB boys and two Aussies fishing at a coral lagoon ocean barrier with GTs to 50kg+. The clip is accompanied by breathtaking scenery and intense musical score. Plenty of gear showcased plus aerial shots with this world class GT clip. As good as it gets! This is an entire episode of YouFishTV Australia, and part two of a two part special. Dont miss part 1.

For you people saying that this is stupid because they are throwing the fish back. Sometimes it isn't about catching tons of fish just to eat them. Sometimes it is about beating the fish at the fight and then throwing it back so you can or someone else can have a chance to fight that fish again.

    • @kristapsabolins1696

Ppl think that fish can't get healed back and can't eat anymore and they think that the fish will die. But if u let fish go it will get healed quickly and it will can eat again

They are actually inedible, due to ciguatera toxin, but catch and release is the future for most sport fishing destinations, it brings in more money than killing fish does, especially in some poorer nations, where the fishermen get paid next to nothing

Really funny to see all the comments of the ignorent fools who are so shocked to see that these fish are being thrown back.
I'm going on a fishing trip to Cuba in two weeks. I have spend more than 10.000 us dollar for this trip and i'm going t throw everything back in the sea, even the delicious ones.
Later this year i'm going on a trip to catch bluefin tuna. After we make a picture we put the back into the sea.
The best thing is, after the fishing trip we go to a restaurant and order some nice fish to eat.

why are there always people talking how bad fishing is, but are still here watching?they do not ever see a chicken dressed turkey or hog. but still eat it. fish still lives and people have jobs for-- fuel, tackle, crew, boat making, hotels ,restaurants, airlines etc. if you look at there jobs- it must somehow kill natural resources, like the a/c they work in or paper they use..

well i don't like after catching fish and throwing back in water, you think you being kind to it, well let me tell you this, since fish cant scream and shout its pain once it got hook stuck in its mouth, you are breaking its jaws and some of its teeth's, before it gets recovered it will die in pain, morons

Saudh Rasheed Please provide some sources which explains the broken jaws, the nerves in the fish mouth and how the fish that has been returned dies. Because what you've said is simple not true at all, there has been major studies done on this. Catch and release is really important to maintain, especially among bigger specimens. The fish does survive overwhelmingly much, provided you handle it the right way once above water.

I have not caught a big GT only a baby one that was 14kg or 32 pound. it fought very hard for its size!! so I can imagine how tough a 40kg or a much bigger GT would pull. I cant believe how heavy they are for there size I swear these fish are like 3 or 4 times heavier than what they look like!! they realy are solid muscle like a Tuna is. il get around to fishing the Pilbara { Northern Western Australia } one day but I caught my little 14Kg GT further north east of the coast of a place called Port Keats or Wadieye { Aboriginal Community Name } in the Northern Territory.

Those Ignobilis fights like HELL hey... I hooked one onshore of about approx say between 3-4kg on ultra light spin tackle, and I struggled my ass off to get that baby just to turn hey fortunately I was properly rigged for that, 15lbs test of around 150m nanofil with an 8-10lbs fluoro leader on a SHIMANO SIENNA 1000FE + fast-tach clip on with a 1/4.OZ jighead , so it could run.all over - fortunately it was from the surf with minimum structures around otherwise I'd probably saw my ass coz them GT's are bloody dirty fighters ... the fish was released safe n.dound just for the record!... nice video, please send more!

So interesting to see all the different techniques used all over the world to get different fish in different areas! Just a shit-load of differences there in one sentence. I would think live bait would be easier, but why bother if this brings up the big ones. Kind of hard to get a live bait to move like that!
