CN City was awesome back in the 2000s, and fondly remembered 20 years later!

Tommy Lawson 6:00 the ABC Kids bumpers are NOT comparable to the CN City bumpers at all. The ABC Kids bumpers look way cheaper in comparison... those were Disney cartoons mixed with Disney sitcom characters in a live setting. Now, programming matters the most I get that, but the effort put into the bumpers & promos got you excited as a kid as well... which is why getting on the CN website for games or making sure I put on my calendar when a marathon was coming on, was a big deal to me. I wouldn't have done this if the commercials, promos and bumpers weren't exciting or appealing. Especially in a time social media still barely existed at all.

@@SilverPwns yeas, Jim Samples wanted Cartoon Network to make a live action cartoon inspired movie, which was made in response to slumping ratings due to live action shows airing on competing networks such as Nickelodeon and The Disney Channel. and I understood why, thankfully that was the only attempt untill... the later 2000s

Some people need to stop being mean to CN City. It's such a great era for Cartoon Network! And the Noods era as well.

Sprocket 23:01 Phil Hartman passed away the early months of the Powerhouse era.... he was replaced by Frank Welker and Harry Shearer, then it was Tom Clark for a few years, then it was Doug Preis the last few years before CN City came. Doug Preis is the "old guy" or "deep voice" guy they're complaining about. So Doug Preis did not replace Phil Hartman initially. They had multiple voiceovers throughout the 6 years of the Powerhouse era.

JMTV on the right side of latest profile posts was right that no one hates cartoon cartoon/CNcity more than WBD. Tommy Lawson thinks that bumpers and commercials are not what draws an audience proves that he seriously don’t know how wrong he is.

CN City used to get more hate by millennials who were teens or early 20's at the time (who are now 30's and early 40's) taking over the majority of the RUclips video scene back in the early days of the site, like the late 2000's and early 2010's. Plus around that time was the Nood era into the early CHECK it era when CN was struggling before it got good again. It was a different time. It's 2024 now... and for the last 10 years CN City has gotten more praise on the internet but it wasn't always that way. There was even a Facebook page dedicated to "Classic CN 1992-2004" that almost got 1 million likes at one point.

@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 If you were on social media back in the late 2000's or early 2010's, you would know first hand how millennials felt about anything on CN post-2004, and it was annoying as hell back then. There's even outdated RUclips videos from that time period where bias is more towards anything between the 1992-2004 period although to be fair, it was the Fall and Noods era that by far got the most hate of all as it was going on.
