It has plenty of power when it needs to but it is by no means uncontrollable. The steering is smooth as all get out in the AWD version. Although the ride is mostly smooth, as the video said, it does have some issues with suspension, and is starting to show through. The Uconnect and the navigation system have yet to give me trouble (knock on wood). The only issue I have run into when it comes to electronics is the aux and USB the center console of the car. bought a 2017 300 Limited brand new. It now has 29000 miles and has been out of warranty for about a year. A/C compressor began leaking oil and had to have it replaced for $1700. The driver's side strut is already making noise so I'll have to get both front struts replaced at around $600 to $800. These two issues should never have come up at the low mileage it has. Otherwise I really like the car. V-6 Pentastar motor is awesome!!!

And like the 05 Chrysler 300 with the 5.7 hemi that you demo'd in your other video; yes, I can relate to the leaky valve cover gasket (though mine is on the driver's side). Overall a great car that has needed very little. In fact, the only thing that is not original to the car (besides the tires and front ball joints) is the battery that I just replaced at the 10 year mark. Even the radiator, alternator, and headlights are original. Lastly, I have had to replace the AC blower motor twice! Yes, the original lasted about 9 years, and the replacement one from A-1 Auto lasted just under 2 years. Didn't have any issue with the "tick" or the fuel tank recall. Also, my power trunk release feature quit working about 2 years ago. Haven't made an effort to fix it, however, it most likely can be attributed to a broken wire where the harness comes out of the trunk lid. There is a video somewhere on RUclips showing how to fix it. I owned a 2012 chrysler 300 limited for 26 months, traded it in 1 month ago. I want to chime in to add some problems i saw on my car. Mileage is a killer with these cars, especially for fleet vehicles. I had to replace the transmission, engine heads (pentastar tick) , ball joints, tie rods, control arms, brakes, tail lights, alternator, brakes, tires, air bag sensors under seat, cruise control button, headlight switch, passenger side mirror, and the exhaust, most repairs being under an extended warranty I purchased my car at 108105 miles and sold it with 126058 miles after 26 months. When i sold my car, the transmission was failing again, the blend door actuators both were in need of replacing, the airbag light was on, and the bluetooth had stopped working completely. My only advice to perspective buyers of the chrysler 300 is get one with a warranty, you will need it.

The asking price is 12,000 and I know I can get it down down because 12000 for 168000 miles is fucking ridiculous!!! So should I buy or not?? Help me out guys.
I think your right the 2014 S I've seen usually has black bezels around the taillights/headlights, Beats audio, no chrome, and 18 inch chrome rims. This one looks like it has the base original 17 inch rims and the BIG thing is no backup camera????? That came standard on all the Limited, S, and C model trims on 2011-2014. I don't think this guy even knew what he was reviewing
I can add a very common issue. This car doesn't have it but the 11-14 cars with leather dash all fail. The leather pulls apart at the seem close to the windshield. Not a huge issue, but ugly, kinda pricey to fix and Chrysler hasn't done anything about it. The Jeeps Cherokees of the same years do it as well, but Jeep extended the warranty to cover it. I haven't fixed mine yet, I'm told best to find wait till something happens to the windshield then find a glass and upholstery place to remove the windshield and fix the dash. If you have one with a leather dash and it hasn't pulled up yet get or thank a windshield sunshade. FWIW weathertech makes custom fit sunshades that work quite well.

Hi just saw your video I have a 2012 300c hemi 5.7 got 111,450 miles on it it's at the dealership now because of the air conditioning door system is cranking this is the second time . My clock on the dash lite went out the dealership wants $300.00 to replace the whole clock. Do you feel it a good buy ?
Some information in this video that needs clarification: Rocker arm & cylinder head issues existed on all Pentastar 3.0, 3.2 & 3.6 V6 models until the Gen III redesign in 2016 when they added a few new features to the engine (variable valve lift is one of them) and fixed pretty much all other common issues with the engine other than the plastic oil filter/cooler housing that cracks when it’s overtorqued. Secondly, the headlight issue isn’t common. I’ve been on forums and i’ve owned one of these cars since new for 7 years and this is the first time i’ve ever heard of it being an issue. The entire car is very solidly put together in general. Also, the ZF 8HP (845RE in V6 models, 8HP70 in V8 models) is a very proven and reliable automatic transmission (commonly claiming the title of best auto in existence due to efficiency, near DCT-like shift times, and reliability).
@@discipline3318 The Hemi 5.7L V8 is one of the best V8 engines in production. Just be sure not to let them idle too long or else they will eat the cam because the lifter bearings seize on earlier models. 2017+ they redesigned the roller bearings inside the lifters to be stronger so that Hemi tick pretty much stops occurring even with high idle time. You can replace the lifters in earlier Hemis with these lifters to fix the ticking issue. The only other issue with them is the fact exhaust manifold studs break inside the head and can cause a ticking on start that goes away once the engine is at OE temp. The NAG1 5 speed automatic is a fantastic automatic transmission, one of my personal favorites. Extremely reliable, pretty good gear ratio spread (if you have a LX platform car i recommend going with a 3.06 Getrag or the 3.90 Charger differential to maximize torque multiplication) and has the added benefit over the 8 speed of being serviceable. That combo will last for a very long time with no real maintenance concerns.

U are right I don't drive the 2014 that much but me actuator went out on the passenger side 2 weeks ago and I'm try in to get it fixed I bout mine in 2015 it was 6 months old..great car I really like it
PERSONALLY, I would MUCH RATHER PARTY WITH A CHRYSLER "300" THAT COULD ONLY COAST ALONG BUS LINES THAN THE "best" Toyota EVER MADE!
😆
@@sewj8046 IF you believe in Toyota TRASH,; more "power" to ya!
Everyone says chrysler arent reliable and all that if you just maintain the car in correct way it wont break down so easily
That is in surprisingly good shape for that many miles!
No tripod? The camera was held well, but just curious if that was a creative decision.
Yeah it really has held up well! And I use a tripod sometimes but it's a little easier to have someone else hold the camera and frame up the shots.
I have a 2014 300 base and the front end has an engine/front end rattle. No shake , just metal rattling. Also, the whining in the steering wheel.
Most probably the water pump or some pulley
How much better is the interior in these 300s than a charger/challenger in similar price range, if any? Fell in love with 300s after having one for a rental, even though by no means I'm a Mopar fan
Thank you. My rear cam start showing a crambled picture yesterday. Hope I can fix it.
Please keep making videos these are awesome!!!!!
More are coming soon! Thanks for the support!
Sounds like you had a lemon. Most of these cars have good reliability.
Spencer i just bought a mint 300cSRT8 2006 from a Piolt in Calgary lol over 1200 mile round trip to pick up! I would like to send you some pictures my friend! Appreciate you Bro! Luv&Peace Sean&family Cheers from Sask Canada!

Not surprised suspension is worn as those cars weigh around 4000 pounds. I just got a 2014 300-S AWD and like it.
How is the car
my 2014 300 w/96k on the odometer. also has that SUPER ANNOYING crease in the center console material by the shift lever in the EXACT same spot. I CANNOT get it fixed, without a full replacement. Good to know it exists in other examples as well.
I'd that an S??? I did not see the S emblem or the beats radio. I'm looking into a 2014 s with 168000 miles. The car fax states no real damage or maintenance issues. Should I purchase it or not? The asking price is 12,000 and I know I can get it down down because 12000 for 168000 miles is fucking ridiculous!!! So should I buy or not?? Help me out guys.
I think your right the 2014 S I've seen usually has black bezels around the taillights/headlights, Beats audio, no chrome, and 18 inch chrome rims. This one looks like it has the base original 17 inch rims and the BIG thing is no backup camera?????
That came standard on all the Limited, S, and C model trims on 2011-2014.
I don't think this guy even knew what he was reviewing
Do not buy!!!
I'm debating on buying a 2016 300s w 92k miles, single owner. It's currently 2024.
Hey man what do you think about getting a Chrysler as a first car? I’m thinking of getting 2017 and up. People say they’re bad cars but man they look so sick I would also daily it so I don’t know man!

2018 300 Touring v6 177000 miles great condition no engine failure 10000$ it’s a nice buy ??
Air actuator on my 2015 and 2018 had the same issue I keep being told it’s a common problem
What would you recommend on a 2014 Chrysler 300 with 183,000 miles ? I mean I want I just don’t want to regret it
For 260k miles. This looks pretty good
Front fender apron are always coming loose on these and your heater doors stick causing a thumping.
The exact same one I have, needs some remodeling and touch ups. Other then that tbh I Love my car, I just need to be my own mechanic, cuz I'm tired of these mechanics over charging me.
I like the 300C and SRT models
What you think about a 300c 93,xxx 5.7 hemi rebuilt title for 13,500$

Does anyone recommend buying a 2014 with 115k miles on it?
If the price is right I'd go for it. They are solid cars.
TopLineRacer what would you say a good price for a car like that?
13 with 120000 miles easily my favorite car haven't had any exotic cars but I'I've had plenty that were supposed to be better.
Some information in this video that needs clarification:
Rocker arm & cylinder head issues existed on all Pentastar 3.0, 3.2 & 3.6 V6 models until the Gen III redesign in 2016 when they added a few new features to the engine (variable valve lift is one of them) and fixed pretty much all other common issues with the engine other than the plastic oil filter/cooler housing that cracks when it’s overtorqued.
What’s your take on the 5.7 Hemi 2011-2014 along with the Nag1 tranny sir?
Appreciate your input, thank you 🙏

@@KylePetersonDmaster223 that is not true at all. It was optional until 2015, when it became standard. Do your research bud. You could pick the 5 speed or 8 speed from 2011-14 on the v6 on any lx car.

How long cars are suppose to last cause I honestly assume every car is 3 years if u don’t wreck lol
Suspension problems are due to the fact that they are Mercedes C. My 2013 was replaced during warranty.
Is the 5.7 version that reliable as well?
Yeah they are solid.
@DasherDk your right 100% surprised you know your stuff.
My '06 300 Hemi just turned over 250K, so yes, the Hemi is stout...repairs have been alternator at 200K and oil pressure sensor. Everything else still stock and running perfect.

Yes! These cars are very reliable.
Sir... Ive had my 2014 for 3 month's. I live in Minnesota where its freezing. I didn't start my car for 2 week's and when I drove it it got a little hot. Well it was more in the middle temperature then it ever has been. Should I be concerned?
You should sell it before it’s too late. They will give you nothing but issues.
Buy Toyotas
Or Honda/Acura
All the ratings I’ve seen for reliability are 3.5 out of 5
First starts up...puts tach into the ketchup...let's off...puts it back into the ketchup...oil in engine still at the bottom of the pan 😅
They must be good, every Highway patrol car in Sydney is an SRT8 Core. Most intimidating cop cars ever.
I bought an 06 300 touring new from the dealer.
Most unreliable car I’ve owned. Religiously maintained.
Started giving me issues at only 60k miles. Would burn one quart of oil every 1000 miles.
Tranny would make a clunk when coming to a stop. Had to replace many parts such as alternator, control arm, etc.
I wouldn’t own this car even if it was a gift.
I only buy Toyotas now.

Found a 2012 300s with 290k km. It is currently safetied but the high mileage has me skeptical. They're asking 6900obo(Cad).

I wouldn't be too concerned with the mileage. I am not familiar with pricing in your area so I can't really comment on if it's a good deal. As long as it's been maintained it should be reliable for a while yet.
