Just one question, what is Solar flactuation? what is the role of using a capacitor to control it, I means how does it works? Can you please suggest me the topic to study it well?
& The output capacitor, Is it to remove ripples (or harmonics) from the circuit?
I think it is just to smoothing the Current flow.....
If you check the LM7805 regulator datasheet then it's Minimum Input Voltage is 7V. I guess it's not that efficient

any idea why my regulator is producing only 0.7v. i connected 2 solar panel in series, Both achieved about 5.17v in normal lighting (not under sun)
