✨Instagram Update: Story Layers! Something we’ve all been waiting for 🙌🏻
This is how you can add layers to your stories 📱
Create a new story:
🔹Add your first image.
🔹Go to the square with the folded corner at the top.
Access the layers feature:
🔹Find the new layers icon.
Choose and arrange layers:
🔹Select your next image.
🔹Drag down to reorder layers.
Position layers:
🔹Use the left side centre to position layers.
Lock layers in place:
🔹Once satisfied, lock layers on the right.
No more frustration when losing your pictures or text behind another picture in your Instagram Stories!

This doesn't work for me either. I think they are testing features and that's why this isn't showing to everybody. For example, I have a "customize stickers" feature that other people doesnt' have. Have you the beta testing on?

the icon is there but i can’t drag the layers on top to the bottom.

Mmm not working for me either. Reel shared, image picked and enlarged. Holding and drag does nothing other than showing up the delete option

It doesn’t work for me either. I get the icons pop up but when i try and perform the move, the shorter one goes red and that’s that. No movement

But how do you lock the image in the story? I tap and hold got that icon on the right side with the lock but what to do next? I tried pressing the lock nothing the image is still moving around. My strugle is when I want to use more elemnts over the image it starts moving instead of the element and breaks the whole design it is maddening.

Don’t work for me either. I have iPhone 14 with the latest version. Compared instagrams with my husband’s pne. He has the new features😢 but not meee

This doesn’t work for me either. When I hard press (and I’m pressing HARD to where my finger hurts), nothing comes up (the layering icon and lock). I have an iPhone

Do you have more than one thing on the screen ie; a picture and a emoji? That they would need to be layered. Click on one of the items and then try.
